I love checking out the flatscreen TV and viewing the pic slideshow for instant gratification. I consider Steven & Janel enablers. They enable this attention whore to primp & pose with all his Yelp buddies, like a kid in a candy store, or Imelda Marcos at DSW. It starts with a simple "Hey, nice to see you again! Let's take a pic!" & escalates to "Who can do a better dorky pose?" Why 5 stars?? Splendid Studio is one of the best Photobooth I've encountered. The staffs were very nice and accommodating. The props were super cute, The photographer has his skills, because I dislikes taking pictures as much as I did, took a few more then expected because the pictures came out great! I had no makeup on that day, and the pictures didn't even show my skin's uneven pigmentation. These was high quality standard photos. They give one 4x6 picture for each individual person in the picture, If anyone is having a party, wedding, or birthday event should definitely hire them because I am. I do private events planning on the side, and I am looking into using them when a client requests Photobooth. read more

UPDATE: Since I've been getting quite a few messages from some of my fellow Yelpers/brides, I thought I'd address some of the common questions/concerns here. We worked with Janel at the time who informed us about the wifi. We were told: "We provide the wifi. If reception proves to be an issue, the pictures would queue and send after the event. We've never had that issue yet. But if reception is really bad, that's what would happen." The queue did not happen. And our contract (dated 8/25/13) and it does not say anything about no guarantee of internet connectivity. However, I was informed that in their new contract they do no guarantee connectivity. So if you do have concerns, I would check with the vendor and ask them to check/test your venue location. Or just opt out of this option all together. Last remarks: Price is a little higher than other places, but my husband appreciated the quality of the pictures. The quality of the pictures itself is great! You can customize your graphic. We loved the step and repeat. You do need to provide them one 6' table (I think it was for the LCD slideshow). They do charge for the individual pictures (we found this out after the wedding), but they do give you the photobooth images and post them online. Email correspondence could be better/faster. I had a requested post wedding for pictures for an ill family member who could not make the trip. They were the only vendor that didn't respond. read more

I was in search for the perfect photographer/photo booth deal and found Steven and Janel from Splendid Studio for my sisters wedding and they did such an amazing job! Everything from details, pricing, and keeping in contact (I'm from San Francisco), and him traveling to the wine country to be a part of the wedding and taking video and photos was amazing. Very professional and very good rates. He was detail oriented and very organized, which I love. He was very friendly and was very hands on. I accompanied a friend of mine to her engagement photo shoot a few weeks ago and the photographers, Steven and Janel did an amazing job! They gave my friend and her fiance their all. Steven especially did not care that my friend was such a bridezilla (you know how "bossy" brides to be can get). He catered to everything the bride and groom needed. Every angle and lighting was perfect. They also do photobooths for weddings! I think that's a new trend for wedding favors recently. My friend has already booked that for their wedding day! These two wonderful photographers are willing to travel as well! My friend's photo-shoot was in the bay area. Wow, these two can photographers really make things happen from coast to coast. I think they should really train their employees not to talk to guests of an event like they are children. When the screen in front of the booth says touch screen to begin, it's obvious that is what will get done. Having the attendant (did not catch her name) come over and talk to us like we're children was not the sourness that we needed at a wedding. She also went ahead and told us "you don't have to take the pictures", as a warning. She has dark short hair, and strongly feel if she hates her job, (which from the looks of it she does), she should find another profession. Never planning on giving a positive reference for this business. Good luck with hiring better employees. read more

Are you a photo junkie? Splendid Photo Booth will feed that appetite. The photo booth was setup at a happy hour event at OC WIne Mart in Irvine, and I loved their fancy schmancy background they had setup for photos. They have all sorts of props to play around with too: masks, hats, mustaches, over-sized sunglasses, etc. It's a lot of fun playing around. The prices are great if you want prints, but I believe they also provide unlimited downloads from their site. I think this is a great idea for bridal showers, birthday parties, business events, etc. read more

We hired Splendid Studio for a company trade show and they were fantastic. Every detail prior to the event was clearly explained, easy to submit (online) and they came the day before to set up and were ready to roll first thing in the morning. They created custom signs for our guests to use in their photos and we loved the on-the-spot email and social media posting capabilities. Steven, Ferdie and Amber were awesome! I've spent my fair share hogging photo booths at events (yeah, I called myself out) so I KNOW when I come across a truly great company. People, if you want great quality, professional-looking photos, definitely pick Splendid. The way they light up the booth/photo area makes everyone look great. I've had bad experience with certain photo booths where all the pictures made the guests look tired or fat. Not, Splendid! They make you look amazing and get you addicted to their photobooth. I actually took pictures at least 5-6 times in the same night! SHAMELESSSS!!! :) Steven and Janel are fun, laid back, but still professional with their work. Apolgies Steven and Janel for taking so long to write this review! We used Splendid Photo Booth for my grandma's 100th Birthday in May and Steven and Janel were/are AMAZING. While I have know Steven for 17 years, he was as professional as I would expect any other vendor. He and Janel were very accommodating to our demanding family. I love the open air, non-claustrophobic booth concept to allow for more people (one photo had 18 cousins plus my 100-year-old grandma). We added for the social media kiosk that allowed our guests to upload their photos directly to FaceBook or send to their e-mail. They have a great variety of props and backdrops, too! Did I mention you could also have a step and repeat banner made? They are definitely a one-stop shop. I called Splendid Studios, at first, because he was a friend, but I will continue to use them in the future. They are, indeed, SPLENDID! read more

This definitely isn't your normal photo booth...gone are the days of sitting in a stuffy cube trying to fit as many people in as you can - reminds me of a clown car. Splendid studio booth is open and inviting. You don't need to worry about people being left out of the picture. You all fit perfectly fine, have a vast array of props to beautify yourself with, and, to top it all off, you get to support a charity when you buy a print or more at whichever event you find the booth at. *Is it a selfie if I used the photobooth by myself?* I've come across a few photobooths that were mediocre, or downright terrible. Thankfully, Splendid was none of them. They were....wait for it.....Splendid! I first came across their photobooth at a friend's baby shower. They had a lot of props and were very patient with us as we HOGGED the photobooth. Technically we weren't hogging it because we rushed them when everyone else was in line for food. Problem solved! I'm glad we went when we did, cuz everybody wanted to take their photo's at the same time. I tend to go overboard with the props, but oh well they're there for a reason! They had a number of them to choose from, so naturally I took full advantage. Janel and Steven are awesome. They were very enthusiastic and made the atmosphere even more fun. You could tell they were having fun, and to me that says a lot. Many times have I come across owners/employees that are less than professional. If you have a birthday, baby shower, corporate event, just released from jail homecoming, or anything of the sort and live in the LA/OC area these folks are the ones to call. read more

One of the best decisions I could have made for my wedding was having Splendid Studio Photobooth. Janel and Steven are true professionals, who will go out of their way to make sure your photos are perfect. I was extra picky about the quality of my photos and the other competitor was charging twice as much. Honestly, Splendid throws Smilebooth out of the water! I emailed them HOURS before the wedding on some last minute changes to the layout and they did it, no complaints, no problem. I also called them the night before after my DJ recommended to change the photo booth time and again, no problems whatsoever. The photo quality is amazing! Super crisp, clear photos on high quality glossy paper. They also have a variety of backgrounds and layouts for you to choose from. Bryan, our photo booth attendant, showed up on time (even with parking issues, sorry Bryan!) and was very attentive all night and made such a difference to the experience. The open air concept also makes all the difference in the world, you can fit a TON of people in the photos without feeling cramped. Their props are also cute and not cheap looking. The only regret I have, is not taking more photos! I've already recommended them to all my friends getting married next year. I used splendid studio Photo Booth at my wedding and they were great! I designed a step and repeat with Steven from splendid studio and he was an absolute pleasure to work with. I didn't really know where to begin so we came up with something together and he sent over a mock up. From there, I made a bunch of changes and he was extremely patient with me and continued to make changes until husband and I were happy with final product. My guests had a blast with the Photo Booth and the props were great. Not going to lie, it is on the expensive side. But it's well worth it. They are extremely professional and the quality of the pictures speak for themselves. I added unlimited photos just so that I can get a copy of each one for my phonebook. Instead of wasting time printing an extra one after every photo, Steven said he'll personally mail me a hard copy of each one so that the guests can maximize the time at the Photo Booth. That is going the extra mile to ensure people have a good time and minimize wait time. I highly recommend splendid studio to anyone looking for a Photo Booth for any event! read more

My husband and I were married in May 2014, and we hired Splendid Studio Booth to run a photo booth during our reception. Our guests RAVED about how much fun it was. The on site staff was very friendly and helpful, and the quality of the photo strips was excellent. Guests were able to take as many photos as they wanted, and the staff helped them put together a "photo booth guest book," which I absolutely love. I worked with Janel to order the services we wanted and draw up a contract. She was very prompt in her e-mail responses and it was always easy to get in touch. Steven worked with me to incorporate our "wedding logo" into a design on the photo strip, and it turned out great. The only regret I have is that I didn't make more time during our reception to take more fun photos. =) Splendid Studio Booth was worth every penny! read more

We had this at our company party and it was cool. They had some good props, not the best, but good. You get to take 4 different poses and you get to see yourself through a tablet sized screen. But you have to be quick in changing cause I think you only get 4 seconds to change. Once done, you get to choose either email or you get to text them to you. I emailed the 1st one and got them... later after I got drunk I felt text would be easier. ...I never got them...bummer...not sure if it was my fault or theirs, but either way I missed out on some good memories. I wish they had a way to retrive them. read more

Splendid did my wedding in October of 2013. They were actually pretty great, although a lot of confusion led to some unexpected results. I initially hired them for three hours, but they recommended to me that if I wanted them to set up prior to guests arriving, they should set up an hour earlier and I should pay an extra $50 for "idle time". I agreed to do so, thinking that would be the end of it. On the day of my wedding, the people who were running the photobooth were great, except that at some point in the night, while they were running the booth, they interrupted me to let me know that I needed to provide them a meal or let them take a 30 min break AND pay for their meal. I told them that I did not need to provide them a meal and they disagreed. It seemed like in adding that hour of idle time, I pushed the crew up to the 4 hour limit in which a meal suddenly needed to be provided. One of the crew said she would stay behind and operate while the other got food, which I agreed to. I thought that was fine. A few days after the wedding, I was told that they would cover the meal receipts, which I thought was nice, although I also heard from my guests later on that there were about 30 min where the booth was shut down because the person who stayed behind couldn't fully operate it on her own. read more

We literally booked Splendid the week of our wedding and Janel was so helpful in answering all our questions on pricing, backdrops, etc. She went beyond our expectations to expedite the steps in booking Splendid since our wedding was a few days away. We absolutely loved our backdrop and Splendid had amazing props. Great variety of fun props, loved them! Our guests had so much fun they can't stop taking about the photobooth. I heard about them through a friend that attended CSUN with me. I asked them if they could set up the photo booth at our CSUN Ambassadors end of the year banquet. Not only was Janel really quick with her responses and contacting her was very easy, but she was also very easy to work with and she really helped with the entire process. Janel and Steven both recently shot photos for my wedding in the San Francisco Bay Area. They are talented professionals and lovely people; we enjoyed every minute of our experience with them. Based on their skills, artistic eye, and expert handling of a frenetic day I have every reason to believe the final product will be exceptional! Almost all of the bridal party (bridesmaids and bride excepted) showed up late for photos. Janel and Steven took the situation with grace and ease; they were flexible, solution oriented, and good natured, which made it so much easier on me! Not everything goes according to plan on a wedding day, and thanks to Steven and Janel I was able to stay calm (essential for good photos), and we adapted and adjusted our schedule and time slots to fit everyone in for photos and still have a great time! Steven's well trained eye knew just where to find visual interest and just how to play off of the light conditions and scenery. They created an amazing custom step and repeat that everyone loved and brought a load of props to every event. Janel and the crew at Splendid Studio do a fantastic job. they have an open air photo booth style that allows for great poses and multiple people to be in the photo. I hired them for my wife's 40th surprise party. It was an 80's Prom theme. Janel worked with me for months and allowed me to come up with my own background for the prom pictures. They provide props for the photos and are total pros. The open air photo booth was a total hit at the party. I can't say enough good things about these two. Splendid Studio Photobooth isn't your typical standard photobooth and definitely stands out from the others. They were hired for my company's Holiday Party last year... yes I know this review is a little late, but I recently experienced them at another party.
