No one seemed to have quality eyelashes either -- they were huge, thick, heavy and just awful looking. I wanted exactly one thing on my eyelids -- synthetic mink. Then, I asked around... there was this mysterious lady named Amber -- that all every hairstylist / salon owner in St. Augustine knew about but had no idea where she was located. They all raved about Amber and her lash whispering ways, I decided to track her down. Amber uses quality Lavish lashes -- aka synthetic mink -- and glue that sticks. I went a solid 2-3 weeks before needing a refill. And they look AMAZING! She's super sweet and her space is really nice, clean and comfortable! She does eyelashes, spray tans, microblading, and makeup. She's someone I trust and I definitely want her microblade my eyebrows -- I just need to find the money first. Amber is a one woman shop who makes her own hours (that are primarily based around baseball season, school and the kids). You must make an appointment and text message happens to be a great way to get on her schedule! Hurray! Her studio is on the second floor -- if you are coming from the North, pull a u-turn at the Hyundai dealership and go into the parking lot with the Century 21 Sign. Plenty of free parking (EVEN BETTER!). She's my girl. Show up on time. Be a good human and bring cash for a tip. I sent you the address to my venue you quoted me a price and I asked if there was anything additional added to the price you then stated to me no that is it.... Then the day of as your doing my make up you then tell me there will be a "travel fee" for you of $100.00 because "YOU didn't realize the location of my venue was considered another city even though I gave you plenty of time to research that information". That is not my problem nor responsibility. You asked me to ask my bridesmaids to pay cash but if they didn't have cash they could pay with square it just charges a percentage. So I did let them know of that. I as your see have my hands full with 3 young children and with all the commotion did not have time to grab cash so I was a willing to be charged the extra fee but you did not have the square with you..... So I tried to accommodate by adding you on Facebook to try paying you electronically that way but unfortunately it did not work.... So my father was on his way bringing you cash but you couldn't wait because you decided to make a doctor appt on a day you were scheduled to be at my wedding..... again that is not my problem... You quoted me, my father and my sister $320.00 in total for my hair and make up and then what ever tip I chose to give you not you choose. You then went in the house like a bat out of hell and started screaming to everyone who's gonna pay me my $400.00 for the brides hair and make up...?!!! Yelling it to all my family and friends and guest that were already arriving. You belittled me and embarrassed me making it seem like I didn't have the funds to pay you. You told my husband Chris that is was $400.00 when you told my sister, me and my father it would be $320.00!!!!! That's a $80.00 difference!!!!! That was unprofessional, rude, utterly and completely embarrassing !!!! You also kept mentioning to my bridesmaids even before you were working on them about making sure they pay you that you need the money. Then you started screaming to my photographer, videographer and wedding planner about coming in asking me questions that they needed to know that were important and treated them very poorly and nasty as well. Your reviews do not match the service you provided. I am extremely disappointed, embarrassed and dissatisfied with the service I have received. From the friendly greeting upon arrival, to the well appointed sitting rooms and luxurious robes, this place exceeds expectations at every turn. I had the Poseidon signature massage and opted for the scalp and face massage. My massage therapist Tiki was awesome, and after she talked me through the services I'd signed up for, she also paid special attention to the problem areas I had mentioned. After I was completely relaxed from my massage. With multipurpose rooms for facials, body treatments, and massages, the Poseidon Spa also offers couples room and several pedicure and manicure stations. Hair and make-up stations are available to serve bridal parties and guests attending formal events. There's also a beautiful retail boutique. The "locker room" is essentially just a bathroom, there are no real spa amenities, and the only additional facility is a standard hotel pool. There was no relaxing or elevated atmosphere at all. Also we were on our own to figure out pool space. Pool is outdated all cushions are stained, no attendants, old towels etc. The front desk staff felt cold and inconvenienced by basic questions, which added to the overall disappointment. The massages themselves were good, but overall this felt more like a hotel add-on than an actual spa experience -- especially at these prices.
