From the first phone call to set up my appointment they were very communicative, friendly, helpful, and professional. The office is clean & well organized. The nurses & front desk staff were all so nice & chatted with me which helped calm my nerves. The best part was Dr. Stone! He was an amazing doctor & I the fact that he had "Sweet Dreams Are Made Of This" when they wheeled me in to get my anesthesia Will definitely continue to come to them for my GI needs! read more

AVOID THIS CLINC: In June I scheduled an appointment with Ruth Mollett. She wasn't available until September 15th, so I set the appointment for that day. On September 10th, I received a message that Ruth wouldn't be in the office that day and my appointment was cancelled. That same day, I called the number they left me to reschedule. I went into the on-hold queue for a long time, with the message repeatedly saying I would speak with a live person soon. Eventually, it put me in their voicemail. I left a message. Their system stated I would receive some type of automated message from "Claire" (A.I.?) and could then text. I never received that message. I tried again and was on the same hold pattern for a long time. Then a human actually answered. I told them the issue. They said they would have to put me on hold for the schedulers. I was on hold for a long time - again. Then, the same voicemail (including the same reference to the mystical "Claire"). I received a call back from a scheduler later that afternoon. I was told I would have to wait until late November to see Ruth, or I could see another provider in late October. Of course, there is no guarantee they wouldn't cancel five days in advance again. I give up. This is horrible customer service. I am switching to a different clinic and recommend you avoid this one due to the lack of appointment reliability and poor communication. read more

I had tried for at least 2 1/2 weeks to schedule an appointment with them. Never have I experienced significant overall issues with scheduling. Even had their own employees make comments. And because I complained they won't see me now because of scheduling. Just maybe they should try current scheduling tools like Inland Imaging currently has in place, online scheduling. read more

I felt dismissed and my symptoms were not taken seriously. I waited 2 months for this appointment and the only good thing that happened was I got an ultrasound ordered which I could have gotten from my primary doctor. I wish doctors understood that patients don't want this as their life and it takes everything out of them to even show up to appointments. If something shows up on a lab test, take it seriously. Waited 2 months for 7.45 appointment today with Ashley Baggett in the Valley I have to say it's one of the worst experiences I've had in a doctors office. She constantly talked over me cut me off and interrupted me. She was late for our appointment and I think she was trying to cut it short to make up for it. We had to get a person to come in and supervisor our conversation of which I eventually walked out on. She didn't hear about my four years previous care because she was a new provider than the one I had in years past. I would stay clear, my niece Jacqueline Omsted also has complained that she had similar experiences with them, not listening and simply wanting to schedule endoscope which is exactly what was happening to me even though I've had three in the past come back with nothing remarkable. Beware!!! guaranteed if you go endoscope will be what they wanna do. I asked if there was something found how would they treat it differently than acid reflex pills she didn't wanna answer. read more

I came in for my scheduled appointment this morning. They refused to provide service because my take home driver was not there to check me in and would not be standing by on campus. Instead my Take Home driver was standing by three blocks away. My driver and I both work in Special Education at a high school three blocks away. This arrangement was unacceptable to the office staff. It was the best I could do. I do not recommend this office. Go to the Providence provider in the same building. After talking with the Providence office staff about a similar plan for my take home driver I have requested a referral to there office for my procedure. Do not go to Spokane Digestive when a more understanding provider is in the same building. read more

I had a colonoscopy this morning. Dr Hillam and all the nurses and staff were just great! Everything was prompt, everyone was friendly and helpful! Getting through to the office was slightly difficult. ( you may need to call back)But once I did talk to a receptionist, she was great. I would definitely recommend Spokane Digestive. read more

They practice discrimination against developmental delayed people. a boy that needs their help is living a horrible life and is sick all the time but they won't help because he's delayed. they need to be shut down. They are also rude and dismissive and play phone games. trying to get a clear answer out of them is literally like finding a needle in a haystack. read more

My experience with this practice was not positive. I was diagnosed with a few conditions. Two are considered rare by NIH. The practitioners were not thorough in diagnosis or treatment. The care plan was a not optimal and communication was poor. I lost valuable time in treating a treatable condition. This is a privately managed practice. In my experience their focus is on what's best for the practice group and not the patient. read more

You start by trying to set your appointment. you can't get through so you leave a VM. they call you back and you miss their call so you call again and again and again and again. FINALLY you get through and you set an appointment. You arrive and park, having no idea which building they are in and you run around trying to find them. They did not ever tell you which building or floor or suite number or tower or elevator to use. your appointment was for 9:45 and you have already called them to figure out how to find them after you tried in your own for 20 minutes so now even though you are arriving at the appointment time you are told by your provider you have to reschedule. The provider you settled for is a nurse practitioner and she won't see you today. I have already paid $6 for parking, but you have to be early for your appointment or you will not be seen. I tried to be early but lack of direction made me on time and it is my fault. I will find another place to see me. They were terrible. read more

Spokane digestive refuses to help special needs people. They denied my autistic son help ( even though he's violently throwing up his food daily and rapidly losing weight) due to his recent trips to the hospital. His recent trips to the hospital we're mental health related and have nothing to do with his physical health. My sons doctor told me that they were discriminating against him and offered for us to call them together. They gave her some B.S. excuse about him not being able to use anesthesia, because of "past procedures", which was not at all what they told me. My son has never had any past procedures. His doctor called them on their BS and told them that he's fine to have anesthesia because he doesn't have heart or breathing problems. they offered for me to talk to somebody higher up at a later time, because they knew I wouldn't be with his doctor anymore by the time they called me back and probably figured it would be easier to lie to me without her. I got a call back from a lady who pretended not to know why he was denied and told me that he needs to be in a hospital setting. My son does not need a hospital setting, but Spokane digestive is 1 min away from the hospital anyways. So how does that even make since? Later that day i met another mother online who's child had to be sent all the way to Seattle WA just to get help because he is also autistic and they refused to see him. I've already informed the news and plan on getting an attorney. I shouldn't have to drive 6 hours away (when i live literally 2 mins away from Spokane digestive) just because my child is delayed. What they're doing is illegal and I plan on suing the pants off of them and going public. Tonight a met a few other disabled people online who were denied as well. I was able to get an appointment very quickly. Front desk check. In was friendly and easy. The nurses were quick and efficient, friendly enough to visit but also able to handle other jobs well. I went to the campus at Sacred Heart for a colonoscopy, first one. I was super nervous but the caring way in which I was treated really helped my comfort level. My first interaction with the front office was great and my next interaction with the nurse that took care of me was fantastic. Terry made me feel calm and comfortable, I am so grateful he was the nurse taking care of me! I could tell that he was sincere. I was in the midst of a move from Chicago, with no insight into how long beyond the end of 2023 I would be in the Spokane area. I tested positive for a colon test and needed a colonscopy....a bit freaked out about it. My insurance covers this clinic so I called ahead, as I was to be out of the US for September. I reached J, who on Yelp appears to be the business owner. I went through an initial intake of my personal and insurance details, no problem. Then it went south. I am not a warm and fuzzy person, but I am also not rude or inconsiderate. I went through a call with Jessica, while I was in the middle of clearing out a storage unit. I took the call because my health is important to me. Jessica did not seem to like my answers to her questions, particularly because I was unclear how long after 2023 end, I would be in the area, and because I was leaving the US for a month after the procedure. While I understand the desire to provide continuity of care, sometimes folks just need medical help and the future is hard to predict. I spent a lot of time asking questions and getting clarity on how this clinic defines continuity of care, etc., because Jessica posited that they would not help me if I didn't stay in the area (some undefined length of time). I was short and to the point for sure but not rude, certainly no language or other overt unacceptable behaviors. I was instructed to action 2 items, one from my doc at Northwestern, and another explaining my move, etc., so some person or person could determine whether the clinic would offer me the procedure (?!) I did both and then called back to make sure that was received. I chose the best IVR option I could find in order to reach Jessica, to confirm receipt. I spoke to someone in an intake or some such role and explained that I was not yet a patient, just calling for Jessica to make sure info was received. I did get Jessica, and she made a LOT of assumptions about my knowledge of their obscure practice. 1) That I was already in the system and could make an appointment (not how we left things); 2) that I understood how their system works (does anyone really understand US healthcare?) 3) Mentioned more than once that Cologuard has high false positivity rates - that's fine, but I take it seriously, and getting this done is a priority. She accused me of refusing to give the previous admin my details - inaccurate, I simply said I am not yet a patient, that I was in a time crunch and looking for Jessica to confirm receipt, etc. She also again, assumed that I knew I could have made an appointment with said admin. She was talking over me and finally, in frustration I said "fine, I'll call (admin), and make an appointment, I'm over it." The most graceful response? No. At best, mildly rude. She called me back 2 minutes later, told me to look elsewhere for medical help, that she was invoking anti-abuse policy and talked over me for almost 60 seconds, before she hung up on me. While I am short and to the point about medical issues, especially during a big move, I am not abusive by any stretch. I did call back to lodge a complaint, was directed to the CEO, left a voicemail, which is the absolute worst process for complaints in a medical arena, and of course never heard back. I leave this review because when Jessica called me back her tone was clearly one of spite. For my part, being refused what I consider a crucial medical procedure, especially when Jessica knew that Spokane area health systems are inundated and not taking new patients, was spiteful, and antithetical to service that the medical community should give. A personality conflict should NOT dictate medical services. Shameful. read more

Aftercare socks. Upper GI done, esophagus stretched. After getting home, pain increased, and other problems. Called, left message for the nurse to call me. Never got a call back for hours, called again. Days later the doctors nurse returned call, by then I already called a hospital nurse at another facility and they were kind enough to answer my concerns. When they called to make the aftercare appointment to come in, I said NO. Patients need after procedure care, this place does not give it. read more

after my procedure about 4 hours later i was in serious abdominal pain , i went to the ER , called their on call after hours number , they told me the on call doctor would call me back , never a call back or message , no assistance with getting help for my pain , i was in the ER over 8 hours with nothing from spokane digestive , they gave me an internal infection at my biopsy site then once i left the building if anything happened i was on my own , not till i left them a poor review did i get a call from not the doctor but someone at the front desk , what did they leave me with? an infection and the cost of a ER visit and losing work , they aren't about helping their patients after you leave the building ... read more

Dr McShane was great. He spent time explaining everything and answering my questions both before and after the procedures. I felt he gave me the time I needed and did not rush my questions or answers. The nurses (Natalie & Christina) were all very friendly and thorough. The only downside was the wait after prep. I waited about 40 minutes and no one came back to give me an idea of when I'd go in or let me know about a delay. Seems someone would have checked back with me at least once. read more

Procedure 10/17/19. Front desk ladies were so helpful and cheerful. Smiles for days. Dr Habibi is amazing, kind and so knowledgeable, he explained everything. All staff My mother came into contact were happy and compassionate. The problem was the angry not happy nurses. Christina and Breanna were so rude and never smiled once to make my mom feel comfortable and hurried us out after recovery. Never smiled even when Breanna went to waiting room to call back a waiting spouse . She rolled her eyes as lady gathered her things and let out a loud sigh and just very rude(so sad). People said out loud, boy she must be having a bad day. I NEVER leave reviews but people are having procedures done here and it's a scary thing for the elderly or any age. I hope things change when we return for my moms next procedure. **Be thankful you have a job and be kind to everybody. read more

Hello. I was in to see Ruth Mollet. She was unprofessional, rude, and dismissive. I have Celiac disease and am experiencing symptoms and she would not let me finish explaining before she was quick to say she could not prescribe me sleeping medication and I needed to see my regular doctor. I did not ask for that nor do I want that. I felt like I was a bother and none of my issues were resolved. I will not be back at your offices. This is not the first time I have been gaslighted before actually being diagnosed as well as my chart being confused or not reviewed and being told I did not have Celiacs after I was originally diagnosed. Now, I have been subsequently gaslighted again when trying to continue to recover from this disease. I feel angry and dismissed. This is not the first time I experienced a Demeaning bedside manner here. read more

I trust Dr. Kestell in his treatment plan and recommendations, but SDDC still uses a solely Western Medicine approach with limited consideration of the patient as a person and quality of life. Myself, my mother, and my female friend (also both patients of SDDC) have had to see Chris Bell, physician assistant, during acute flare ups. We have all found him misogynistic, narcissistic, repeatedly disrespectful, and unimpressive. When we've experimented bringing a male to our appointments with us (father, husband, boyfriend), he miraculously is more attentive. Dr. Kestell 3/5 stars. Chris Bell 0/5 stars.
