It was clean and ran OK - enough to get the job done. I made sure to ask my sales rep if they would stand by it if it developed problems within a few weeks of purchase. He said to give him a call if I had an issue. A handshake deal. Wouldn't you know - a couple weeks in it suddenly started running very badly and would hardly move. I took it back to them and they absolutely stood by their sale. They rebuilt the motor after figuring out it had pretty much blown itself up - at no cost to me. I've used it twice in the last couple of days and it even works better than it used to! Shout out to Hoyt's Cycle and sales guy David - they took care of me!

The live trees still in the ground means they are very fresh, with few needles falling off and a wonderful fragrance. They are a bit funky, as live trees in the ground often are, so don't come expecting to find the "perfect tree." Instead, come with the thought that you can have a unique and personal tree, fresh and "on the hoof." We cut our own Virginia Pine, and my granddaughter enjoyed being able to search for and select a tree she really liked, with lots of spaces to hang ornaments and room for presents as well under the tree. Everyone, especially Tina, was great, very friendly and helpful. And I really want to thank the wonderful lady (I forgot her name) who made me a bow for a pinecone wreath I have, and she refused to take payment for it. That is one really beautiful bow, now on the wreath outside our front door. That will be my remembered Christmas present for 2023! So, if you want a great experience finding a special and unique Christmas tree, visiting a country-style place full of interesting and definitely-not commercial sales-oriented people, and having a delightful time (plan to spend time looking at trees), this is the place for you!
