This was such a cool restaurant to dine in. The theme inside is based on an old tram or streetcar. It's very cozy and instagrammable, while the outside holds a nice patio which is heated in the winter. Their burgers are delicious! I ordered the Dijon burger, medium rare, with a side of garlic mayo which was juicy and well seasoned. The service is also excellent. Very friendly and attentive staff. Neither of us were feeling super adventurous, so we both ordered the cheeseburger - his with potatoes- mine without. They arrived fairly quickly and service was super friendly. We walked over to Sporvejen to check out the interior of the restaurant which is a Tram car. The hours are "closing at 10" but they were still open and busy at 10:30. We didn't plan on eating but based on the activity and buzz in the kitchen and outside seating area we decided to split a burger. We ordered a Bacon Cheese burger- medium. It came out closer to well-done. This isn't the best or worst burger I've ever had. The beef needed seasoning. That said everything surrounding the patty (toppings, sauce) helped with overall taste. We found this spot while strolling the city - needed a good burger fix and this lovely spot did not disappoint. The rail car decor is unique, a bit tight, but it works. The service was outstanding -- the burgers juicy and very flavorful; I had the Pepper Burger, she had the Dijon Burger. Both were cooked to perfection (medium rare). This is easily my favourite restaurant in Copenhagen. Their burgers are the best I've ever tasted! And I recommend getting the one with bacon. So crispy! My only problem with this place is that is really is very small and it's a popular place so if you go there at the wrong time you probably won't get a seat. Other than that, this is a perfect restaurant. The staff is so lovely and if they aren't too stressed out, they won't mind chatting with you! The prices are actually also very reasonable, even close to being cheap for all that you get. One of my friends recommended this place to me because my boyfriend loves burgers, so we visited the restaurant yesterday and we were not disappointed! First of all, we were absolutely delighted by the friendly staff, our server was a short blonde girl and she made the entire experience much nicer by being attentive and sweet. She was very helpful and recommended some of the burgers, since we had a trouble choosing. We ended up getting a bacon burger and a cheese burger, which were both very delicious. The bacon was just the right amount of crispy and the cheese was melted perfectly. The homemade dressing added a unique taste which was very impressive. Another best burger shop I have ever had during my time in Copenhagen. This place is a little bit small but cozy. A budget traveller is recommended to come for lunch as the price is cheaper (the dinner price is around 20 DKK more for each dish). I ordered the cheese - bacon burger and it was amazing. The melting cheese and tasty beef with crispy fried bacon on top at only 75 DKK. There are outside seating as well. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. This is the best example of a place that gets rated quite correctly and that it is totally not worth it. It is quite cramped (the door of the restaurant is a good example of how tiny it as soon as when get in) The menu was somewhat ok with regular burgers and some others more interesting. They do also omelettes??!! Anyway, we ordered the cheeseburger and the guacamole one as it was recommended by the nice waitress. Unfortunately, although we did order for well done the burger came medium (very pink on the inside) and the taste of the patty was really bad like it was not fresh. The topping as guacamole and the sauces didn't help onto masking the awful flavour. The potato wedges that came with it was uninteresting. We had few bites and we're completely turned off. We didn't want to complain as the waitress didn't showed up until we asked for the bill. We left without being asked why we would leave most of the burger on our plates. I looked on TripAdvisor for Burgers in Copenhagen during my recent visit and I came across Sporvejen. The place looked unique from the photos and its rating was good too, so I gave it a try. For me it's tough to give a burger place a 5 star rating because most burgers taste close to the same. Otherwise, I would give them a 5 star rating. Nothing to complain about. The staff was very friendly and the burger I got was very good (pepper burger). Certainly worth trying if you're in the mood for a burger and fries (which were included with the sandwich). I used to work around the corner from Sporvejen for about 4 years, and of all of the restaurants in Copenhagen, this is the one we make sure we have to visit when we come back to the City. The burgers are really good. I think it is the special sauce that they put on it which is really unique. I wish I could buy the sauce. Also, their drink sizes are pints - so if you ask for water, beer, coke, etc... you get a nice large amount. The interior is pretty fun. It is set up like an old street car. Cosy place with the ultimative decoration. Super friendly service and you get your food pretty fast, even though the "train" was pretty full. We took the bacon cheese burger and we're a little disappointed of the meat/bun's. We missed the taste of the flesh and the cheese.. Bacon was delicious though! It's definitly worh a visit! I don't actuallay know if it's pricey or not, because it was our first meal. We paid 329 krones for 2 burger's and 2 beer's. read more
