Wow, what a horrendous experience! We had bought and installed custom-made curtains and blinds through Spotlight (for about 800 dollars) and have recently been having issues with these blinds.
We called the repair service to have it fixed and they never got back to us. We visited the store to rectify this and were told that others would get back to us, which they did, after we kept calling them.
They told us they would have someone come over to FIX the curtains on Wednesday "sometime in the afternoon". I stayed at home this day, assuming they would arrive. In the evening they called and told us "We couldn't make it today, we'll come tomorrow". They never ended up coming on Thursday either. Then, they told us "we'll come on Friday, in the afternoon".
On Friday, I went stationery shopping at noon and was about to go grocery shopping, when I got the call that the lady was at our house! Panicked, and wanting to finally get the job done after several weeks, I dropped everything and raced home, telling her that we would soon be there, in 10 minutes. When we arrived, she had left.
Of course we were frustrated, but I sent a very polite text message to the lady, asking if she could make it this afternoon, and if she could give us a SPECIFIC time. She called us back, and told us she would be there in 10-15 minutes, rudely adding that she was "late for her next appointment". I ignored this rude statement and said "that's fine".
When she arrived, I explained the issue and she was extremely rude and unhelpful. She even said that she wasn't sure of the material, if we had even bought them from spotlight! We explained to her, over and over that we did. She even said that she "wasn't here to fix it, just here to inspect"! Of course, I was extremely upset, that I had wasted three days and several phone calls to this horrid company, just to have her question if we'd even bought it from the store!
The lady (I believe her name was Sandra, having seen it on her clipboard, however that could've been another customer's name. This lady didn't have a name badge) began raising her voice and demanding "I'm going to leave" after we described, very calmly, that we were upset with Spotlight's service and her (Sandra's) unprofessionalism. The last straw for us, is when we were trying to speak to her and she slammed our door and left!
Due to this extremely upsetting and timely experience, we will never go to these cheats ever again and would highly suggest to our family and friends to never visit the store . Be warned, next time you have your installation done at spotlight! read more
