I want to start by saying that Brian is an extremely nice person and came with a reference from my…read morerealtor. Throughout the project, there were issues with miscommunication and I accept my part in that. As such, Brian and his crew had to move furniture and put in some window units already at the house before painting. However... There were discrepancies between discussions and invoices leading to several increases in the cost of the job. He also failed to notice that he would be painting over oil based paint. Brian purchased porch and trim paint without consulting anyone and ended up having to repaint the porch. The trim remains a less than ideal color as so much was completed before the error was discovered. The crew failed to consistently use drop cloths leading to paint smears and drips on furniture, floors, carpet and appliances. A member of the crew used an antique desk and chair to sit on, covering them in oil based paint. Brian then used mineral spirits to clean off the paint, ruining the finish. Several other pieces have drips and smears. Overall, there was little or no surface prep or masking. As a result, despite having Brian come back at least twice to clean up, I am still finding drips and smears on windows, floors, fixtures and carpet. They didn't bother to paint the window sills under the air conditioners, which could've been easily moved. In the kitchen, there remains overspray. This is after Brian, without asking, painted over the mess left on the appliances. In the end, Brian decided to reduce his price and part ways. They failed to wipe the cleaner off the stove and caused the damage. Now we have to seek legal action for the damages done.
