Extremely Disappointing Customer Service…read more As a local resident and business professional in Hallandale Beach, I make a conscious effort to support local establishments. I had passed by this business many times and finally decided to stop in when I needed a temporary parking permit. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. When I walked in, there were four people present not one acknowledged me or offered a greeting. It felt as if I were invisible. Eventually, one gentleman, seated at the front left, mumbled "may I help you" without even looking up from his computer. I explained what I was looking for, and without making eye contact, he replied that they do sell temporary parking permits, but they didn't have any at the moment. That was it -- no offer to order it, no suggestion to come back, no effort to assist or retain a new customer. I left feeling completely dismissed. Once in my car, I searched for nearby alternatives and found Auto Tags of Hallandale just one block away. There, I was warmly welcomed by Randy, who told me they also didn't have the permit on hand but could order it for same-day pickup by 4 PM. That's what professional and courteous service looks like. Morris Esquenazi and his co-worker Jose Torres from Northwestern scammed me of $18,000. I was…read moreintroduced to them by a friend who ended up getting scammed as well. They sold me a life insurance policy based on lies. Instead of giving me the right answers to all my questions they lied to make me believe something else. I was paying $1,500 a month to make 5% on what I put in a year. One of my main concerns and the question I asked repeatedly was if I could take my money out whenever I wanted to and they reassured me that I would be able to take it out whenever I pleased which was a complete lie. They put me on a whole life insurance which I cant take the money out how they had explained to me. After speaking to several other people in the same field as them they advised me that the whole life insurance wasn't beneficial to me and the only reason why Morris & Jose put me on the whole life insurance policy was because they win a $10,000 commission. So pretty much they scammed me and knew what they were doing to cash in on that commission. I am writing this review because I hope no one else falls for this scam!

I'm not a big reviewer of companies, but sometimes warning others is the only recourse we have. I called asking about proof of homeowners insurance that my mortgage holder had requested (Leo Papir had not responded to any of my emails). Leo Papir and his receptionist were both unbelievably rude. All I did was ask for a confirmation email (or CC) when the documents were forwarded to the mortgage holder and Leo angrily accused me of "telling him how to do his job" and then started loudly listing how many companies he works with etc. He was very aggressive and in retrospect, very troubling and weird. Not sure if the guy is unhinged, miserable, or just terrible at customer service. But I would absolutely steer away from him and Matrix Insurance Group. I wish my condo association would too.

Just an update that the agent, Matthew Boisson at Miami Insurance Brokers, accidentally entered my…read moreaddress incorrectly on the application for the HO policy and then later, after the inspection, corrected it but this contributed to the cancellation as per letter from underwriter, Orchid. Miami Insurance Brokers and Orchid are still keeping my funds as 'policy initiation fees' despite the agent's role in this issue. Per state board of Insurance they are permitted to do this even though it is ethically wrong.
