Such a beautiful property and beautiful new restaurant in our town (Desert Spoon). I finally visited for a playdate and lunch. I ordered a Cesar salad and my friend ordered a salmon bowl. Both were very presentable plates and delicious as well. We strolled around the property and purchased toys for our tots from the very aesthetically pleasing gift shop. Absolutely in love with everything this business has to offer! Service was great as well. Highly recommend you stop in even just to walk around! Girls trip to the nursery, my first time here. I was very underwhelmed! We drove over an hour to get here and found plants through out to be scarce. Not sure if they were transitioning into fall, but they did have pumpkins and fall decor. Some of the plants didn't look like they were in the best condition and we found prices to be steep! The gift store claimed a sale, but found out it only the past season seed packets that were on sale. Cool, cute gift items, but quite pricey. The fairy garden set up was very nice. Plants and pottery housed in that building were again expensive and nothing special. Not sure I would make the trek all the way out again, I've been to bigger and more beautiful nurseries. My Brie wasn't quite "melty" enough but was good . We sat at the bar but there was plenty of other seating but would recommend a reservation if there's more than 2 in your party. This isn't just a garden center--it's a full experience. I've come across so many beautiful and unique things here: a greenhouse filled with plants, songbirds, a fairy garden, and a koi pond. There are chicken coops, water features, and countless beautiful spaces to walk, sit, and soak it all in. I love grabbing a latte at their cafe and wandering the grounds, taking in the peaceful atmosphere--but if coffee isn't your thing, there's always the wine bar. They've recently expanded with a brand-new restaurant, making it an even better destination for a day out. They host live events and markets--it always feels like something special is happening. Over the years, my family and I have found so many unique treasures at Spring Creek Gardens: a cute honey pot, bird figurines wearing winter caps, a gorgeous wind chime, and unique gifts for friends and family. It's first and foremost a garden center, so of course we've picked up practical items too--succulents, perennials, soil, planters, lavender, and last year's Christmas tree, which stayed full and lush the entire month. Huge, beautiful property filled with so many gorgeous varieties of plants! Great selections, even this late in the summer with the atrocious heat we are experiencing here. Lots of outdoor areas with plants, pots, etc. There are also indoor areas, perfect for grabbing a drink- be it water, coffee, soda, coffee or wine. Yes- they have self-service machines for sampling Texas Wines. A fun treat! Gift shops with unique items, and even a children's area in a barn. They have different classes/activities for the kids. Lastly, today (Saturday) they had a small farmers market to the side of the property with local makers- soaps, sauces, vegetables, dog treats, jewelry, etc. We met the owners and they were very kind! Okay, this place is definitely going to be dangerous for me going forward. They have an amazing selection of plants, herbs, flowers, pots, and so much more! I love the lounge areas they have, the music playing gently in the background, they even have a gift shop! Spring Creek Garden is so much more than your average nursery! I love the selection, lots of exotics and easy to care for houseplants. I didn't go on a day that they had the farmers market but I will definitely go back for one for sure. The staff was great, they helped me find prices on a few plants that weren't labeled and signed me up for the rewards program. (Even without it I would've gone back though) I took home some gorgeous purple shamrocks that I had just seen a video on Tik Tok so when I saw them I grabbed them immediately! Great, great, great place. From Stone Oak area in San Antonio it's only about 25 minutes north on 281 and well worth the drive if you are an established or new plant parent. read more

These gardens were recommended from someone at my favorite cafe so I went to check them out! This place is large with different sections for houseplants, trees, full sun plants, and more. There's a chicken coop with cute, fluffy chickens! I'm not sure if they're for sale but they were cute! There are gifts for purchase as well as two really cute lounge areas. There's a cafe (closes at 3pm on weekdays) and wine taps as well as newly installed beer taps. It's a beautiful place to relax with a glass of wine, or even walk around with it! There was a nice pumpkin patch, with it being fall. Lots of variety of gourds! I appreciated the info they posted about pollinators, butterflies, droughts, and so on. Being new to Texas gardening, it was appreciated! They seem to have good prices and a good variety of plants, gifts, and garden items. I'll definitely stop by for a glass of wine and plant shopping next time I'm in the area! read more

SCG used to be a place where we could roam free with our children and not be harassed or accosted by employees (or people related to employees) but those days are over. SCG has indicated that there has been a recent issue with kids breaking things and parents not paying for the items. In our 30+ times visiting, our kids have not broken a single item. If my kids were to break an item, I can guarantee we would pay for the item(s). Just a shameful manner to handle business especially for us parents that have the challenge of raising a child with special needs. read more

My friend and I go almost every Sunday-Funday, to enjoy the garden center, the gift shop and the self serve wine bar. We love the staff and the ambiance that the property provides. We enjoy our girl time and weekly catch up. I highly recommend the drive just to relax in this peaceful setting. There is a lovely fine dining, farm to table restaurant on property as well as a " grab and go" cold case to get some snacks and drinks. Want some coffee?? They have an expresso bar! The most beautiful place to spend your day! They have an incredible selection of plants for any of your needs. Their coffee shop/cafe has my favorite sandwich (fireside panini) in town & amazing service. The shop is my go-to for all gift giving with a tasteful selection of goods for great prices. They host a ton of family friendly events and their firework show is INCREDIBLE for Fourth of July. We had such a nice time the other morning at Spring Creek Gardens. The weather was beautiful as we made our way around different areas to explore. We started off at the gift shop and what a nice gift shop it was!! Then we checked out plants, pots, benches and fountains in the outdoor areas. The prices on the planters seemed very reasonable. I can't talk about pricing on anything else as I didn't look at those prices. The very best part of our day was in the larger greenhouse where there was a substantial fairy garden. We saw plants that we were not even aware existed. This place is a photographer's happy place. We ate lunch in the little restaurant that serves salads and sandwiches. They were good. They also have coffees as well. A cool thing there were wine "vending machines" which offered three different sizes. They have all sorts of activities including a bread and wine evening where you learn to make bread and then enjoy it and the wine by the fire pits. I didn't ask if they have musical entertainment but I wouldn't doubt it. They have around 100 acres and it looks like they are working on more buildings. We think they should add a lot of pickleball courts along with an air bnb. read more

If your traveling north or south on route 281, during daytime hours passing through Spring Branch, TX, and would like to stop in a scenic yet comfortable garden setting, then this is your place. Today my wife and I visited this beautiful garden nursery. They've always had wine tasting. Now they have taken it up a notch and added a beautiful remodeled building where they serve coffee with El Salvador origin from 8:00am to 2:00pm. The setting couldn't be more relaxing and the employees just aim to please and let you do your thing. Whether it be perusing the gardens, sitting in the coffee/second wine tasting area or going into the greenhouse (there is a precious fairy/gnome village, see pictures), you are in a welcome setting. We certainly congratulate the owners for investing in this wonderful adventure. read more

What a great place filling several missing niche's in this area! You can come and enjoy fun classes, get specialty items for your gardening/landscaping projects or just enjoy some wine. My first visit was specifically to enjoy the wine with two other friends who had been here before. They already had cards so we were able to go, pick our glass of wine from the self-serve machines and then found a seat on the patio. Wine can be chosen at a sample size, half glass or glass and your pour and price are based on that. It looked like a lot of local Texas wines (which I LOVED) with a few California wines. They close early during the week but were nice enough to let us finish our glass. Also, apparently they are expanding and adding a coffee area soon that will have a few more wine options. read more

Such a cute place and the perfect spot to spend a laid back afternoon when the weather is nice. They had wine and beer on tap so you can enjoy a drink on the patio or while you walk around the plant nursery. We did the flatbread class. It was reasonably priced and the staff was so friendly. Such a pretty place to get plants and have lunch! The beer and wine taps are such a great addition!

If you are a plant person you will ADORE this place. Its magical little fairy land, in their greenhouse, is an adorable touch. We got a mocha coffee, hill country smoothie, avocado toast, and chicken salad sandwich and everything was exceptionally delicious. This is the perfect day-date spot to relax and have some fun plant shopping with your significant other, friends, or family! I wish more places like this existed!! read more

I used them to do some landscaping last spring. They installed grass and a rock garden. They are pricey but I didn't negotiate and accepted the price. The grass died during the summer and three plants they put in the rock garden. There is a drought and water restrictions were in place so my displeasure is not the fact everything died. The real complaint is I called the boss three months ago to see if I could get some help. He reluctantly said maybe. I never heard back. He will not answer my phone calls or texts. Since landscaping is another department, I called the nursery yesterday to get some help. They said someone would call back but I haven't I haven't heard anything. The baffling thing is I was willing to do more business but I guess they thought they might have to spend a dime on me. Unbelievable to me! read more

This is a stunning property. The greenhouses are tidy and the plants all appear vibrantly healthy. The building housing indoor plants offers a wide arrangement of pots, houseplants and healthy succulents. I felt like I was in a Midsummer dream inside. There are even collections of birds to add to the ambiance. I don't believe the birds are for sale, they just live there. Outside, beware. The potted outdoor plants are so enticing I ended up buying several butterfly bushes, trailing rosemary, gorgeous geraniums , herbs, and the type fragrant sweet alyssum that spills delicately over the sides your pots. I was clearly enchanted! I only went there to buy small terrarium succulents. I feel their prices are very fair for the quality of their plants. There is so much more to explore but I had my little dog with me and he was getting too warm. There is a nice coffeehouse that I intend to explore next time and a gift shop I can't wait to go back and visit. Finally, everyone there was so darned nice and helpful. Due to the Snowpacalypse of 2021 we needed to replace a lot of plants. The wife had been talking about this new nursery and wanted to give it a try. It is a bit out of our Area of Operations but I was willing after seeing the pickings at our usual place. This is a very well laid out and attractive nursery. It is easy to navigate. I have never seen a nursery look so nice. The prices seem to be in line with other places. We did not find what we were looking for, it is a smaller size nursery at this time. I would be willing to give it another try in the future. I wish they had a website that actually had the plants they currently have, it would have saved me a long trip out. Maybe since they are a new nursery they have not grown to their full potential yet and we will keep an eye on them. read more

They didn't have everything I hoped for in stock, but gave great alternative suggestions and told us where we could go instead to find the specific items. They are very helpful, and you can get a glass of wine or coffee while you shop, or just enjoy the beautiful gardens. They have napa wine machines and a full coffee bar with indoor seating. I enjoyed spending an hour there just exploring, and didn't even get around to everything! The greenhouse()was really enjoyable, and made me want a green house that much more! I loved it! The Herbs and Vegetables Plants all looked so great! The selection was tremendous and they are keeping the Plants healthy and clean! I am extremely proud of this Garden Center! It was my first time visiting Spring Creek Gardens. I wasn't sure what to expect and was surprised as I pulled up to see a Farmer's Market, a Coffee House and a restaurant. There was live music and a large plant selection. The staff was knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. I was able to find what I needed. Staff are knowledgeable and friendly - and have even helped us identify mystery plants on our property. The coffee/wine/beer bar is fun to visit. The property is stunning with all its beautiful plants all in great condition. great business concepts , rather expensive and lots of different types of plants , they have large turn over in employees . rarely see the same face twice and i have been going there since the day they opened. there's one face that's consistent at the register but not very good customer service at all seems like she's not going to help unless pushed to do so. even then with attitude . A while back I had cancer and for a year in and out of chemo and surgery and radiation. I was bald from loosing all my hair and didn't move very fast and I have always been very independent , with that said I cant lift and push things very heavy and there's was a young woman in there tall blond hair that absolutely wanted to ignore me , I finally got her to pick up a small tree for me and take up to register , she never came back to see if i needed anything else which i did, it went like that for 3 more times . I was by myself and I didn't bring any help. My husband and i said even though we have spent fair amount of money there on many items and al the different areas of the business we decided we probably would not be going back and we didn't and hence have spent thousands of dollars on plants over the past 3 years at other businesses. I did however want to pick up a plant there and did stop in and again just the same ignorant woman at the register , said she couldn't help me bring a plants to the car because she was watching the register , I explained you saw me buying things . lock your register or call someone to see if they can help me she said they were short handed and no one was available . I started to carry my plants out by myself and when i went back to my second box of plants the same women at the register did carry them out , I said thank you and she didn't even acknowledge me with a thank you . this is not unusual with this woman like i said she has been there pretty much since they opened always with the same attitude . I am 75 years old woman , owned 2 of my own businesses , managed a multi - million dollar portfolio real estate . and worked for the federal govt and would never have allowed any of my employees to behave with the lack of concern or interest in their employment as i have seen there . things never change there , I don't like running 10 miles into home depot but i will just to avoid that place. Its like these owners have so much money they don't need the average customer off the street . what a shame and insult , these owners have pulled up the natural habitat for our local wild life and then treat locals like they are bothering them. I'm not a demanding nor require undo attention , but this is ridiculous. I wouldn't even rate them one star !! and i have tried for years to see a difference . NONE read more
