However I will tell you all about why I had to check out early, not getting a refund for the 2 more nights I had reserved. This establishment let's just anyone in their motel. I had to complain about the illegal workers next to me. Sitting on the sidewalk, drinking beer, smoking pot right in front of my door. That made me so uncomfortable. There are way too many stories in the news about illegals preying on us American citizens. I read about it every day. It's horrifying, gruesome. I did not want to be another statistic. I checked out early. The total disrespect from these illegals. Amazing. It didn't matter to me that the staff "would talk to them and have them move." No, these men were not being respectful and weren't going to change because the housekeeper or manager asked them to. These men knew I was in the room they were sitting in front of. They knew I was an elderly woman. They had no consideration for that. The only thing to do was to check-out to be safe. These men were drinking and smoking weed before 3 pm. So, imagine what they would be like later on in the evening. I normally like this establishment, and I've stayed there before. Nice rooms, wifi, tv and cleanliness. But after all the news about illegals, there was no way I was going to stay there. How do I know they are illegals? No English, no boundaries, no respect or courtesy. I'll never stay there again.

A lot of my coworkers came here as well. There were a few tables left when we came and we were seated in the same room where all of the food. The staff here were pretty friendly and nice. They came by our table every so often to check on us and if we needed any other drink refilled. I don't remember every single food item there, but it ranged from mac and cheese to calamari to fried chicken. I thought the food was not bad and for under $10 per person for lunch, I'd say it's a good deal.

Noise from doors shutting, conversions, people walking on the old hard wood floors, the noises never ended. Texting or Email was the only way to get staff response, which it was usually relatively quick.

The room had electronic key cards for both the side door and the room itself, making it very convenient. Parking was easy--we parked at the park directly across from our room, within view. The streets were well-lit, and the area felt safe and charming. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, with the A/C and TV working perfectly. The bathroom was impressively large as well. The building itself is adorable, thoughtfully designed, and beautifully decorated. My only suggestion would be to add a larger vanity in the bathroom, as there's ample space for it, and maybe a task light for makeup. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely return if given the opportunity.

There is fresh baked scones as well as beverages in the Frig.. We stayed in the Sadie's Room on the 1st floor which was nice. It was clean and relatively quiet. The breakfast was very good. Negatives: One of the things that is lacking in this B&B (and many other B&B's, hotels) is suitcase holders. The Hinson House seems to have only 2 for the entire B&B. Our room had only one but luckily we were the only guests that evening, so we were able to get the other one. The B&B is located on one of the main drags through town. Vehicles go by relatively fast and can be dangerous when pulling out if one doesn't exercise caution. It was a delight talking with David and Olivia. If traveling through this part of Florida, we definitely will be staying here again.

What I have found is that the staff is incredibly nice. Others who were there also commented on how accommodating and genuinely friendly the staff is. They allow pets and dog relief area is out back. The hotel is constantly being cleaned and what smells like sterilized. The manager arranged for food trucks to be outside the hotel during this natural disaster to help those staying to have easier access to food. This isn't an area I would have thought to visit in the last, and drove past many years ago. However, the hotel management and staff made an incredibly stressful time so much easier and brighter than I could have thought possible. Thank you to them!!! So much.

The room(s) are spacious, clean and attractive. The beds extremely comfortable. David, and his thoughtful assistant, Ellen, want YOU, the guest, to feel 'at home.' They take great pride in The Sullivan House, and it shows in the details. My husband and I were treated to a tour of the House, and could study details and features of an almost-100-year-old residence. The Sullivan House has been perfected with modern necessities like central air, plumbing updates, refinished floors, etc., without destroying the wonderful feel of a residence its age. Evenings in 'the whiskey room,' extremely comfortable, well-suited for intimate conversation and visiting with others. Even an elk, mounted over the fireplace, added to its ambiance. And the food? Where, I might ask, would one be served a breakfast of Eggs Benedict, granola-topped yogurt; fried eggs over-easy with steak; poached eggs on toast with a wonderful gravy and ham; avocado and fresh tomato with pesto, and lamb seasoned with rosemary and perfectly-poached eggs. Orange juice, a 'clamato,' (virgin Bloody Mary), fresh fruit assortment of blood oranges, bananas and blueberries and raspberries -- and I am sure I am overlooking 'something' -- coffee, awaiting your arrival in the dining room. A special treat, having the Host join you at the breakfast table for stimulating conversation. Because of the unique circumstances of our 5-day stay (for a funeral) I was able to experience The Sullivan House as a venue, when the Host and his assistant, Ellen, treated us to a fine assortment of foods, and use of the home, for a reception following the church service. Leaving the details in their very capable hands, I was delighted with all that was done to make for a pleasant late-afternoon 'tea-of-sorts' for us. Again, the food? Beyond all expectations, with a variety of deluxe sandwiches, vegetables, fruits, and garnishes, and to 'sweeten' such a sad event -- beautifully arranged desserts including two cakes, an assortment of cookies, and chocolates. Our Host could not have been more accommodating, or kind, re-arranging furniture and setting-up, accepting deliveries of flowers, and waiting upon our arrival from the church, opening the doors of The Sullivan House for us, and graciously attending to our guests. But . . . what most impressed me, was our Host's request to 'let him take care' of us. And he did. Extremely well.

We had early mornings and late nights…read more We definitely took advantage of their complimentary breakfast which included sausages, biscuits, gravy and different forms of eggs. Usually breakfast is served 6:30 to 9:30 am but they were willing to start at 6 am when we had an especially early morning. We came back to clean rooms everyday and had fun at their pool and basic gym. There was also a guest washer and dryer that took quarters with some essential cleaning detergents from what I saw. Overall, we had a very pleasant experience! Staff were kind and had to reactive our room keys due to random issues. Would like to stay here again if in the area in the future!
