After giving our measurements to the owner, he took our deposit and ordered the unit. He was supposed to come and measure himself but that never happened. It was weeks and I mean weeks before we heard from them. So after weeks (2 1/2 mos), we get a date for the install. They come to install the unit and the unit is too small. They have to make a riser for it when took more time. Finally after getting our fireplace, we were happy with it. About 1 wk into running the fireplace, it nearly catches fire because IT WAS INSTALLED WRONG!!!!!! So now the waiting game again....it gets fixed and all is ok. On 10-9, I called them to service the unit. Again I was told that they were "wks behind". Called again a few wks ago and they were going to come in a week. As of today, 11-26, I have NOT heard from them! Our unit will be checked but NOT by Fireplace Galleries! If they treat all their customers like us, they will soon be out of business!

Today was a disappointment! We had waited a few weeks for this appointment and we were very excited…read moreabout getting our propane fireplace cleaned, but things quickly went South! This morning we used our fireplace without a problem, in fact we have used it for months now and even years without a problem. We turned the flame off prior to our service appointment so that it would be cool enough to navigate. Gary came out from North East Gas Service, he didn't seem very happy from the beginning, perhaps he was having a bad day. He quickly went to work saying to us that everything , "looks really good. No cracks, or chips" and that things look good. He mentioned that we should not shut down the pilot flame because it can cause issues. But also said that in the Summer you should shut it down. (hmmm which one is it, shut it down or not). Then after cleaning our fireplace he couldn't get the pilot flame to stay on. He then blamed it on the rust inside or debris or spiders that he couldn't see...which one is it? Then he blamed it on the fact that we turn the flame off sometimes, so it was our fault it won't remain on now. However, when he first came in, he said things looked great, then when he couldn't get it to work he said it's old and rusty. He also said that because it just was cleaned debris and rust particles can make their way down there and create a clog which could then prevent your device from working. So tell me, why would anyone want to get it cleaned and servived then if that can happen? So frustrating. Then he got heated with my husband and said, :he can see where hid day is going" then he told me that my little Chihuahua better not bite him when he leaves. He was in my arms....really!!! Do you think we would do that! He stormed out and never finished the appointment. Now how is that for Service? Be careful what you wish for!

The technician spent the better part of my appointment telling me how shocked he is that my home has insurance because my wood stove is from the 1800s. He kept recommending I "update" it, and when I asked what that even meant he said replace it of course. He actually had the nerve to ask me how to clean it. Seriously? He vacuumed it. Checked out the chimney and this cost nearly $200. He also told me that "much bigger, nicer homes than mine have had to upgrade their stoves, and that I'm lucky." My stove has been in my home since 1972, and it works perfectly. Complete and total waste of time. I will absolutely be going back to my previous company. I was so upset after he left I called and asked for a supervisor. I was told someone would call me back the next day. To add insult to injury, no supervisor ever even bothered to call. We hired C & C Masonry in oct of '24 to remove & replace concrete basement steps. Today is June…read more12th, 2025. Chris completed 80% of the job. Rust marks are showing on the wall because he failed to remove nails that were in place. He has stated it needs to be refinished & promised to do it. He was supposed to drill into the wall & foundation to anchor the steps with 1/2" rebar. He only put the rebar in the steps, not into the walls. He's supposed to paint the chimney. When he poured the top pad, the concrete failed to find it's way to the bottom of the form, leaving rock exposed. He promised to fix it. He failed to recaulk where required, which he promised to do. I did it myself. Chris did work for us in 2015 & everything went fine. I felt I could trust him. When he asked for final payment, with the promise to return & complete the job, I paid him in full. He has returned once to retrieve tools he left, with the promise to come back. Chris isn't returning calls or texts. I have texts, contracts and pictures to substantiate everything I wrote here.
