Site 30, Spring Lake RV Resort

This place doesn't have a recent review and that's a shame. It's absolutely awesome. We're in a 44-foot Class A motor home and are full-timers, so we've had our share of hits and misses at RV parks. This place is excellent. It's big-rig friendly. The sites are gravel, wide and flat. Full hookups for all sites. Each site had a concrete patio pad with a wrought iron table and chairs and/or a two person swing chair. The pond has a fountain and is fully stocked for catch-and-release fishing. There are a couple cute duck families residing, but thankfully there are no geese! There are sites that back up to the pond and others that do not. There are no RVs that look like they are too settled in (accumulated junk stored around them). It's very clean and very well-maintained. Jeff and Marge (the owners) are helpful, nice and monitor things to maintain the standards. The wifi is better in some spots than others, but this is the nature of wifi. We had excellent coverage. There are two clubhouses and a laundry room. There are restrooms, but they were temporarily closed due to the pandemic. You can have Amazon packages delivered to the office. We were there during all the COVID craziness, so I'm not sure if they normally have dog waste bins on the property, but at the time of our stay there were none. There is no dog park, but everyone does a great job of cleaning up after their pets. We stayed a month and would highly recommend it.

stayed at Ballyhoo for seven nights...probably the prettiest, quietist, cleanest RV campground I've…read moreever been to...this place open in the 60's and it's very well maintained by the owners...the little playground is older and the pool is no more to eventually be turned into a dog park...the bathhouse was immaculate with a fold down bench and plenty of hooks in each shower stall...the water was hot with great pressure...loved it. Laundry room was also immaculate. There is a 2-3 acre grass field to walk your dogs...but pro tip invest in 50 foot long leash and your dog is able to get incredible exercise...very easy to get in and out of all the sites are gravel with grass surrounding...there is a picnic table and fire pit at each site...this place is an incredible value...I moved to another park in Dandridge packed with long term RV's and it's garbage compared to Ballyhoo and more expensive...I had a number of conversations with the hard working owners, the Watkins, and they are lovely people...I'd like to address an issue I see with some reviews on Google...Ballyhoo has campground rules no different than any other campground...I see people complaining and leaving poor reviews mostly because they don't want follow the simple rules...such as keeping their dogs on leash...they get upset when they get called out and then blame the owners...that's bullshit. I followed the simple rules like most do and had a great time. Thank you Doris and Stanley for a great stay.

Can't reserve spots. It's a first come first serve. No need to stop in the office. Drive around,…read morepick a spot and Paul will come around and check you in. Good luck finding a halfway level spot. We were lucky and it wasn't busy so we got a nice wide spot near the bathrooms and showers and laundry. In the main area. ( full hookup by office) there is no sewer connections and no cable. Could only get 3 off channels. We are here "off season" and the restaurant doesn't open until May 2. It's quite a walk down the pier to the store and restaurant. There are cabins on other side of marina from Rv sites. Plenty of ramps to put boat in water. There is not a lot of signage where to go so got to ask many questions instead of someone explaining things to you. Prices are cheap right now. Average of $29 per night.

With several campground options in the Lake Cumberland area, I think I found my favorite…read more Initially, I had planned on staying at Falls Creek Camp Ground which was just a few miles up the road, but after I discovered Conley Bottom was almost the same rate AND CB has full hookups, I made a last minute route here. When we pulled in, it was about to storm and almost dark. We were greeted at the store which was apparently closed. The gentleman explained that he would just come by in the morning to collect the due. He also said that there isn't any pre-booking available, everything is walk up only. Right now the rate in the first RV area is $24 per night. The rate increases for the season on 5/20/17. The second area RV section doesn't include sewer hook ups and is $4 cheaper. The second area is where the playground and dock access that leads to the marina is and seemed to currently be more popular than the first area. The views from both sections overlook the marina and beautifully picturesque. They have several large, pull through sites. We stayed in site L which was the closest one to the lake. None of the sites have lake access, but the marina is within a few minutes walk. A very important and possible deal breaker for anyone concerned about the drive there is that it is a narrow road and if you're heading in late when the boats are headed home, they take up most of the road and you practically have to pull off to allow them to pass.
