Outdoor fire pit when you get the upgraded deluxe patio package

This is a very nice campground (see photos) with a great staff, nice amenities, good neighbors, full hookups, and an onsite store. We stayed here on our way home to Texas from Maryland. The pads are cement with easy access in and out. We had a deluxe patio with fire pit, grille, and 6 chairs! Great place to stay if you have kids or just need an overnight stay. 4.4 / 5 To get a 5/5 it would have to have a better location and better views (like waterfront). Still a great place!

It has been a long time since we stayed at a KOA. After researching the area and looking at reviews we felt we settled for the KOA. We were so pleasantly surprised at how nice the park is. We have been struggling with finding long pull throughs because we are 40' and pulling a 20' trailer. We have been traveling from the Seattle area and heading to South Carolina. We have rated at a lot of RV parks this past week or so and have left reviews every time. This has been the best experience this trip.

NEW management! This was such a great KOA! We just made an overnight stop but our kids wanted to stay! Quiet, pristine, gorgeous campground. The staff goes out of their way to help. Coffee, ice cream, tie dye, bunnies, mules, what an experience!

We have stayed here three times and it's al ways been great! The management is amazing, the facilities are spotless, including landscaping and campsite are any to navigate. Will definitely stay here again as well as recommend to friends and family.

Each restroom has a gas-powered heater, which is good on cold days!

I needed a 6-day break for self-reflection. Where could I get a cabin for that long? Final verdict, a KOA cabin in Crossville, TN, a town of around 11,000 people with a water tower that declares itself the "Golf Capital of Tennessee". KOA, "Kampgrounds of America", is a Billings, Montana-headquarters-based (shoutout to Montana Public Radio's podcast for all the 'ness that has kept me abreast of Montana news through the years!) self-identifies (and probably is, with over 500 sites) the largest single brand of campground ownership in the world. Owners franchise the campgrounds in pretty much every state in the United States and province in Canada. Mark Hall of Tennessee Realty, originally of Warner Robins, GA, is the particular owner of of this "kampground", running it with his family. It is 4 miles on either side between exits on Interstate 40, pretty much dead center between Nashville, TN and Knoxville, TN on directly on US Highway 70. The KOA website, complete with ratings of each of the site, made it really easy to search down for a site. It provides a listing of each campground by state and province, after which one can search particular dates, "equipment" (that is, if one is bringing in an RV or an automobile), and if one would like to pitch a tent onsite, rent a prefabricated building (usually) at any of the available campgrounds, or use one's RV (whether a car for the night up to a decked-out, fully-featured recreational vehicle or camper for the long term) to stay. From there, it's just picking which one, though long-term stays they do recommend one call the site directly. I'd decided on the "Dixie's Delight" cabin (Dixie is the name of [one?] of Mark Hall's dogs) for they aforementioned six nights, and I'd decided to drive up to Tennessee in my own car. Dixie's Delight, designated C-1, is a relatively spare cabin, having still what one would call "modern conveniences": a television with cable (though at the time the city was working on Highway 70, bringing down the cable; I don't have a regular cable subscription anyway, so it wasn't an issue), microwave oven, high-speed WiFi access, and vicinity and use (as in roughly 50 feet) access to any of up to four (depending on how many people are renting space) heated bathhouse rooms. As I'd mentioned, one could have one's recreational vehicle that takes care of most of one's needs, but they have cabins to take care of anywhere from spartan needs (pitching a tent) to a fully-furnished, complete-with-linens house. I did notice (though it wasn't available at the time) they have a cabin that's pretty much one room with a convertible couch, a couple power outlets, and a table with drawers and a shelf. The more ornate cabins have themes (such as Dixie, dogs in general, and bears), and then there is the full-on house. The bathhouse rooms have hot water showers, sinks, and toilets, as well as gas-powered heaters for the cooler months. Each of the facilities makes it clear its expectations: that one not smoke within the confines, that one help to keep them clean, and that violations would result in paid fines. The bathhouse rooms to which I had access were fully-renovated; the Crossville campground is still in development as it expands north closer to I-40 (there is another set of bathhouse rooms further north onsite that are more spare and with less decoration), and they're planning on building further. The only difference between those bathhouses and the ones I'd used more frequently were tiling and gas-powered heaters. The campground served my needs and then some. I didn't have to wait for a bathhouse room (probably in part due to the efficient management of resources), and both the cabin and bathrooms served my needs for the time I was there. I didn't use the laundry facilities also available, though it was nice it was available (even at $3.00 a load). The staff, including Mark - who I got to meet a couple times while I was staying - were friendly and accommodating, including the time on my last day (of all times!) that I forgot to bring my cabin key and locked myself out. It wasn't an issue. KOA has a $30-per-year per-stay rewards program that includes discounts on the rental of "kampground" space at any of the 500-odd properties. The rewards program doesn't renew automatically, but it's good if one thinks one might camp at KOA properties with any relative frequency. Thanks, Crossville, for a good stay away from home.

This park is extremely clean. It's incredible how hard the staff members are constantly working and making sure that everything is perfect. We've been staying here while our home is being built and have had literally zero complaints about anything. The park is immaculate. The traffic on Highway 70 is almost nonexistent in the night time and very slight during the day. You can occasionally hear a vehicle on I 40 particularly further back in the park but I am a very light sleeper and it does not bother me. In regard to the comment about not being dog friendly that has to do with the previous owner. As you can see below I have 4 over 50 pound dogs. They are not only welcome here, staff members go out of the way to pet them. There are six or seven clean private bath houses and two laundry stations (4 washers/dryers). The little store has a variety of food items, ice, a coffee bar and they are in the process of putting in an ice cream bar. They also recently got the ability to fill propane tanks on site. I am very fussy and have had no complaints at all.

Payed for premium site 34. It was severely sloped and the RV was never even close to level.

So when we became aware of various Membership Lots for sale , we reached out to one of the owners looking to sell his membership. We were referred to the volunteer Membership Chairperson who sent us an application and told us we would need to attend an interview with other member participants and sit through an orientation process to be sure we understood the campground rules and regulations and had reviewed the bylaws. The Membership Chairperson was very helpful communicating with us through the application process and being flexible with the scheduling of our membership interview. After our interview / orientation meeting was over we finalized the deal with the listing member and waited for all receipts to clear before our membership transferred hands. We had the opportunity to meet and visit with several members in the community. We found the various members to be very friendly and welcoming.
