Wow, what happened?! I'm so sad to read the dissatisfied comments from this company because I have experienced the same issues with the lack of responsiveness. My first experience with them was excellent, they installed my fence and I enjoy it. So I figured why not call them back for repeat business. After several calls and no shows, Jesse finally came to visit my property, but I never heard back on the estimate. I've called and left messages and still no answer. So I just gave up and decided to go with another company. It's sad because I really appreciated the nice job they did for me last year. Beware!!! They will keep your money and never do the work. We gave a $7,000 deposit in November 2025. We were told it was for materials and that the project would be completed before the first week of December. Then winter weather delayed the project. Totally understandable. Please beware! These ppl took my money and took 6 months to install. I had to call the police on them to get them moving. Finally they installed the fence and not even 6 months later my $30K fence has issues. Once again they wont respond and have not come to fix the fence. This condition typically indicates that the posts were either not set in enough concrete or were set with insufficient depth for the material. Given the height of the fence, proper depth and adequate concrete footing are critical for long-term stability. Defective Panels: Two panels appear to be structurally compromised and may be manufacturer defects or the result of improper installation and stress. Based on these findings, the issues appear to stem from installation deficiencies rather than anything else. Due to the nature of the installation and the potential for additional damage during removal or repair, especially considering the materials used, we would not recommend partial repairs. In many cases like this, full replacement of the posts and panels may be necessary to ensure structural integrity. At this time, we must respectfully decline involvement in repairs or replacement of this fence. My sister hired the Spring Valley Fence Co in Pennsylvania, early last year and they delayed, delayed, delayed. They had no trouble taking her money, but then it was one excuse after another for why they could not install her fence. They have thousands of dollars from her, but they could care less. After many, many phone calls, messages, emails and texts, they finally told her that they would give her a refund. She gave him different ways that he could refund her and now he has gone silent again. That was two weeks ago and he, of course, will not answer her and has not refunded her money. I would never use them or recommend them to anyone. I don't know how they lay their head down at night knowing that they took her money and had no intention of completing the order. Took our money and never showed. I'd highly advise against using this company. Jesse came out, gave us a quote and told us the lead time was about 6 weeks give or take for weather. Going on 6 months now he is not only not showing up but IGNORING and not refunding money. I have made MULTIPLE attempts to kindly resolve this. It's a shame too, thought he was going to do a good job. I hired Jesse Mengel of Spring Valley Services to install a fence at my house. He came to measure and give an estimate at the end of May 2021. I signed the estimate and put down a 50% deposit of $1774.00 via PayPal on 6/30/21. Receipt of the signed contract and deposit was sent to me via email on 7/7/21 (after several calls and emails asking for confirmation that it had been received - that was the first red flag), at which time I was told installation would be done in the last week of July or the first week of August and that they would contact me in a few weeks with a more definite date. As of 8/5/21, after dozens of calls, texts, and emails, nobody from Spring Valley Services would return any of my attempts to contact them. I filed a dispute with PayPal and I got a response from Jesse via email saying that he had fired his receptionist and had no idea I'd been trying to reach him, that he was sorry, and that he would "probably" be able to start the job in two weeks. After reading all of the reviews here and elsewhere, I have no faith that he will be able to complete the job and told him as much. He's yet to respond to the PayPal dispute about the deposit refund and has only sent me an email saying "well, we have a contract..." I shouldn't have to start a course of legal action to get a business owner to move on a contract. Ridiculous. I had them install a fence at my previous house three years ago and had zero problems. Very upset about the awful change in service. Wish I'd have checked for recent reviews before hiring them again. Just want my deposit back so I can go with a contractor that doesn't need to be strong-armed into work and I can let my dogs outside leash-free again. read more

DO NOT USE. This is a SCAM company. I began speaking with Jesse Mengel in July, 2019. In August, he personally came out and measured my property. I received his bid and agreed to move forward with him. On October 7, 2019, I gave him $2,500+ as a 50% deposit to purchase the fencing materials with the agreement of a 2-3 week install. He deposited the check on October 8, 2019. He has only responded to 2 of my 15 texts and 10 calls. The first he said his son was in the hospital. The second was from his "wife" who said he has had the flu. My sister posted on Spring Valley's facebook page and the "wife" who administers the facebook page, turned off the comment function and deleted her comments. Today is December 5, 2019.
