Curt was incredibly helpful and accommodating right from the start. Payment via credit card was seamless, and the process was super easy. Curt even texted us a map of the office building and clearly directed us on which rooms to use. The office itself has a nice aesthetic, very modern with a white and gray color scheme and sleek glass tables. The chairs were perfectly comfortable, though they did have some noticeable scratches and patches on them from use. I really appreciated the amenities in my room; there was a printer you could easily connect to via an app if you needed to print, and the thermostat was zone-controlled for that specific room, meaning I could set the temperature exactly to my liking. My only real critique and suggestion for improvement is to install actual locks on the office doors. While I was in the middle of my important meeting, someone barged right into the room, even though the light on top of the door was glowing red to indicate it was occupied. Obviously, this isn't the fault of the owners, but people are idiots and don't pay attention to indicator lights. It was highly disruptive, especially when the entire purpose of renting a private conference room was to ensure I could be in a meeting completely undisturbed. Aside from that one hiccup, Curt was wonderful and very pleasant to do business with. It's a fantastic, modern workspace option, and with a simple lock addition, it would be absolutely perfect!

What are you looking for in a hotel stay while traveling?…read more INTRO: I often ask myself this as I am selecting my bedroom of choice, usually while sitting in a parking lot surfing through Kayak, Priceline or Yelp. The most magnetic of hotels are the ones that are situated near my planned route (on and off interstates). One that provides a safe, well-lit environment to park my vehicle. One that is close to places required to resupply road snacks, fuel, ice for coolers, etc. perhaps in close approximation to a restaurant or a mall food court - having pizza or Chinese food delivery usually works as well. Having a nearby Cracker Barrel? Yeah... no brainer for me and mine. INSIDE THE LOBBY: I like professional, well-mannered, well-dressed, knowledgeable staff attending the front desk. A serious bonus - this location also had prepared food options and a bar in the lobby area, this is never anything less than a win for the hotel guest. I love when the hotel I select also has a small sundries shop... a guest can pick up a snack, a beverage, microwave popcorn or pizza and such. THE ROOM: For me to be content the room needs to be easy to navigate to, which means luggage carts are a must for me (I usually travel heavy). The room itself must promote comfort & cleanliness. Immaculately vacuumed floors to crisp sheets... From a thermostat that works to spotlessly clean windows, microwave, coffee pot, bathtub, countertops & drawers. A great touch was the lamp on the table with the adjustable head. I liked it because when my better-half was sleeping I could make it so that the light was not masquerading as a suntanning lamp shining on her face. As far as cleanliness goes... When I arrive in a hotel room, I want to be enticed to take the shower I have been waiting to take all day and not have it scare me away. Same can be said for the bed. I don't need chocolate mints on my pillow or hand towels folded into animals atop my bedspread nor do I need 10 pillows of various sizes, I have at least one of those excessive things at home. This isn't home, no matter how long I am staying. Which means that I don't need a view unless I am in a place like Hawaii or on a Greek island in the Aegean Sea, but still it is nice when you discover a view - even if it is just a few snow covered mountains, the next morning when you wake. CHECK OUT TIME: I assume, with each hotel stay that 11 AM is checkout time. Not 12 PM. A Late checkout of 1 PM? That is amazing. I have stayed in many hotels for many different reasons. This stay was to just get away from my home, with all the distractions and pack and repack and repack several backpacks and decide which I will be using when I hike the Pacific Crest Trail later this year. So, having a checkout time of 1 PM was utterly fantastic. Also being near Cracker Barrel and the road leading up to Big Bear was a major plus. A few hours after departing, I was practicing with snowshoes, and self arresting myself with my ice axe in the snow. CONCULSION: Your hotel help my weekend be successful from a backpacker's standpoint. Both me and my better-half thank you for meeting all the criteria I have mentioned in this review. PS: The gentleman assigned to tend to room 232 was also amazing... so professional. In fact, this entire property could be a training facility for so many hotels I have departed from harboring complete and utter disappointment. DO I RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL? Umm, I am reposting this as a Yelp review. As a ten year Yelp Elite, I take my reviews seriously. It is not just a place to whine about every last speed bump and never post the amazing encounters you have experienced. I DO recommend this hotel to fellow Yelp Elites and strangers alike. We got the first floor the carpet is filthy black and the room we were assigned was so dirty and smelled weird and I started to feel sick. I Clorox wiped everything down. The sheets and pillow cases did not smell clean and smelled like the bed was just remade from the previous guest. Did a bed bug check and when I went to close the curtains I noticed it was out of this world gross. Pictures are included. Front desk was notified regarding the mold and I requested for another room which they gave us a way better room on another floor. Thanks to the front desk lady in dayshift she was very attentive regarding the situation. The mini fridge wasn't cold. The phone was from back in the 80s and yellowing. The new room we got was nice and clean. The downside was there was no conditioner in the shower bottles. Big new tv,lots of charging ports and reading lights was a plus. Furniture is new and no yucky smell. Another perk is 2 free water bottles in the room for gold and higher members. The restaurant downstairs is very reasonable. Great selection on the menu and coffee/juice comes with the meal. Very nice workers in all areas. Parking was good as we got to park in the front and on the side closer to Scandia. After all that we will see u next year Hilton garden inn.
