Most main meals are served with chunky chips and a selection of roasted vegatables. You can book to eat in the Restaurant set near the back of the pub up a small flight of stairs, food is still of a fantastic standard although not worth the extra money. I have eaten at this pubs at least once a month for the past 5 years and the only cause for complent I have is the atitude of the staff who served Xmas Lunch on boxing day in the restaurant.

The sweet menu was written on scrap paper and even then they didn't have half of what was on it, so it was not a good experience. If you just want a meal, I would try somewhere else.

The stableyard itself is often used s an event space for community gatherings such as the recent summer fete. It's a really beautiful area with a lovely relaxed atmosphere.
