Again they fixed that but staying at a Hilton should not be this insane. Because of the issue created on the reservations the maid walked in twice without knocking. SMH, totally ridiculous!

They provided a couple of complimentary waters along with the cash snack and water bar. A single serve keurig machine and an ice bucket. Bathroom was nice with a shower and the toilet on opposite ends of it. Thats always nice. Bodywash and hair products in wall mount on the shower wall. Robes in the closet. (I didnt even use it. Ugh!) And the bed was soooo comfortable. I was very comfortable. And did I mention clean. It was very clean. And the common areas always smelled and looked great. I really enjoyed my stay there.

What I did not know was that the Illustrious Ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated -- the ABSOLUTELY BEST sorority ever -- were also having ceremonies that night. Beautiful for them, chaotic for me. I pulled up expecting valet, only to be told valet was reserved exclusively for the AKAs that evening. Now listen... I respect it. If anybody's going to get special treatment, it's the ladies in pink and green. But for me? Whew. That meant I started driving... and driving... and driving. Forty minutes, y'all. FORTY. Between the restaurants, the event, and the already limited parking, it was a full scavenger hunt with no treasure. I finally tried the parking deck -- only to discover it ends abruptly at the top with no turnaround space. No warning signs, no heads-up, nothing. And because it's Girl Scout cookie season, I'm in our extended Escalade. Picture me at the top of this deck, realizing I have to reverse all the way back down. I could've cried. Actually, I did cry. My daughter is in the back asking if she's still going to the party, and I'm trying to be brave while my anxiety is sky-high. I went back to valet, desperate, and they basically said, "It's just a bad night for parking." At this point, I'm ready to cancel everything and go home. I called the front desk and spoke with a woman named Miccah (I hope I'm spelling that right). She was so calm and reassuring. She told me there were 12 underground parking spaces available, so I felt a little better. I drove down there... and there were only two spots left -- both for electric vehicles. And the elevator? Not working. Now I'm underground, no reception, no parking, no elevator, and a 9‑year‑old with me. I drove back up and called Miccah again like, "Girl, just cancel this. I can't do this. I've been circling this place for 40 minutes." And then -- the turning point. She said, "My manager is walking outside right now. He's going to move his car so you can have his parking space." When I tell you Alexander came outside and did EXACTLY that... that man was a blessing. He moved his own car so I could park safely and get my daughter to her sleepover. That is customer service times 1,000. When I checked in, I told him I felt like I was about to pass out. He said, "Ms. Page, don't pass out, don't pass out -- do you need a Coke?" And he actually brought me one. The kindness, the attentiveness, the humanity -- it meant everything after the ordeal I'd just been through. Because of Miccah and Alexander, what started as a nightmare turned into a stay I will never forget. Hilton, keep them. Celebrate them. Promote them. They are the reason I didn't break down in that parking lot. But Hilton... please fix that parking situation. It was truly ridiculous. And to the ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated -- the absolutely BEST sorority ever -- congratulations on your ceremonies. Staff would walk by and greet her all the time. We felt right at home here. It was only her second time ever staying in a hotel and the first time was not a good experience. She relaxed instantly here. And when be front desk supervisor, Alexander, found out that my flight wasn't until later in the day. He gave me a late checkout, so I wasn't hanging out in the lobby the whole day with my dog. I absolutely will be staying here again whenever I'm back in Texas.

Bailey Lee the Director of Events was exceptionally helpful as she was always happy to answer any questions I had. The staff including Brianna and Brittney were very punctual, patient and incredibly helpful with all the planning. The day of, someone was there with me to navigate the day and make sure everything ran smoothly. I really appreciated too, the flexibility and selections they had to choose from for table linens, decor etc. The venue provided me with a floor plan with table setting and other element placing, and were accepting of my edits / red lining of any changes I wanted to make. They were always sending me detailed documents of the venue plans. They had a lot of partnerships with people to help make the ease of finding other vendors. This was a big help as it was more convenient to work with others who were familiar with the location. The venue itself is exceptional. All my guests said it was one of the best weddings they had been to because the whole area is just naturally stunning. Very open concept and bright all over. There were tons of opportunity for photos in various locations across the venue. From natural scenery, to a porch swing, trees, bridge, gazebo etc. There were also butterflies everywhere, so they were obviously attracted to the foliage outside which made it even more magically. The only things I will say in contrast is I had a fright with some of my things being misplaced that I had requested such as easels, some of my rentals and the fireplace was supposed to be lit as requested. The items were eventually found and brought to me before it was too late. The fireplace was never lit but it was still beautiful regardless. And I reminded the staff to bring out the easels which they happily did so. I also mentioned multiple times that the lights in the reception were supposed to be purple and they assured me that it wasn't going to be blue even though the papers they sent me said, "blue." I told them to revise this and they said it would be purple, well the day of it was still blue which luckily still worked with my color anyways. I had also originally been told when I booked the venue that there was a projector to display photos and had originally planned to have a slideshow until I found out much later that there were renovations and the projector could no longer be used. I was a little upset by this as they did not plan to have a projector screen available to maintain this option and instead got rid of it all together. But that is a minor detail that didn't effect our experience too much. All that aside, great job to everyone, thank you for making my day special and beautiful. Myself as well as everyone who came will remember that day as being just as perfect as I wanted it to be. Thank you!
