Exactly what you need nothing more nothing less

We travel quite a bit and usually don't have a lot of time. We drove from San Antonio to Dallas and had to drive back the next day, this place was unexpectedly perfect. The rooms were super clean and came with everything you need. Refrigerator, microwave, comfortable bed, towels, soap shampoo.... everything we needed to recharge. Price is not terrible at all and comes with a decent fitness center (no frills but clean working eqt), a nice little pool and jacuzzi and the best complimentary breakfast set up I've probably seen in years. Guys every single employee here was nice as well, we stayed until we had to actually check out, it was great. If you are looking for some place that was truly a rare find check it out

This sign in the lobby bathroom had me cracking up. The hubby took the same picture in the men's room.

The Holiday Inn Express and Suites is on the fairly modern-side as far as Holiday Inns are concerned. It's conveniently located on the farm to market road off of 287. Generally, the hotel was quality but had some quirks. My group shared a suite that consisted of a king bed in one room and a queen bed and pull-out couch bed in another. There was enough space for everyone to store their luggage and hang their clothing. The bathroom situation was a little odd. The bathroom had two doors- one connecting to the master bed room and the other to the main entrance of the room. Our group had to develop a little system for using the bathroom in the middle of the night and not walking in on each other. The room wasn't dirty per say, but it wasn't clean either. I had no doubt they were changing the sheets, towels and cleaning the bathrooms, however I'm not sure how much detail they paid to vacuuming and surface cleaning. Upon arrival, there were pieces of glitter/confetti in the master bed room. We checked out on Sunday morning for a quick overnight to Fort Worth and checked back in to the same room on Monday night. The glitter/confetti was still there. On round two of our visit, there were also cracker crumbs on the coffee table of the living room. Not a huge deal, but I would've preferred if those areas were clean. As far as staff and common areas, the staff we encountered were super friendly, but needed a little refinement. It took a few tries to get our key cards initially activated. The lobby was bright and clean, with easy access to the lounge/breakfast area. The breakfast was standard Holiday Inn fare, but I really utilized the coffee and to-go items such as fruit and yogurt. The gym was extremely basic, but better than nothing. The handle bars on the elliptical were a little shaky and the seat of the bike collapsed once upon use. I got two work outs in at least so that's what matters. Overall, I was happy and comfortable with my stay and would just recommend a few refinements made on their end.

    Pet friendly!!

Loved it!! Super clean, large suites, great customer service! Easy to get to and my room was ready when I arrived. Good selection of channels, great continental breakfast with one of those great pancake makers.. I know, I'm 12 when it comes to these. Oh, best part is they are pet friendly!!

They provide a dinner on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings to their guests. We enjoyed tostadas and sangria.

Great hotel & staff. The dryer didn't work but the front desk clerk offered to dry my clothes for me.

We went on Fourth of July, wasn't sure if we would be able to see Fireworks from there but we could see some from across the lake looked like in Fort Worth, and from the parking lot we found close parking, and seen lots of people there and worked out good. It was nice there was seating, and people and restrooms in the area we stopped out so overall good and anytime we want to go look at the water and relax I will choose here and try to come more often.

First, this is not an all-inclusive venue. Many items are charged separately, including linens, use of the TV, AV equipment, and even certain rooms like the back room. These additional costs can add up quickly, so I recommend asking for a full breakdown of fees in advance. I also want to mention the policy regarding security officers. When I booked, I was told the officer requirement would be at the manager's discretion. I communicated multiple times that my event would end by 6 PM. However, I was still required to pay for an officer through 10 PM, even though the event ended much earlier. While I understand policies are in place, this was unexpected and felt unfair based on prior communication. One policy to be aware of is that open flames are not allowed. I was able to adjust without issue, but it's something to plan for ahead of time. Overall, the space itself is nice, but I strongly recommend getting clear, written confirmation of all fees, policies, and requirements before booking to avoid surprises.

We had no contact from anyone for months -- since August or September -- and only recently learned from Laura that she is no longer the correct point of contact. No one updated this information or informed us of the change. To make matters worse, my account was accidentally charged $2,413, and instead of receiving an apology or any accountability, I was sent a message explaining their payment policy. Not once did anyone acknowledge the mistake or the inconvenience it caused. The lack of communication and basic customer care is unacceptable. This was supposed to be a memorable and exciting experience for my daughter, but no one has made her feel special or supported throughout this process. It truly feels like the quality of service left when Laura did. At this point, my expectations for how the wedding will turn out in August are extremely low. I would caution anyone considering this venue to think twice before booking.

We ended up arriving early because we weren't sure how traffic would be coming from the north Dallas area during rush hour, so we allowed plenty of travel time. There was plenty of parking (especially arriving early!) and we found the entry signage no problem. I love all the beautiful stone work on the buildings. This venue is gorgeous!! The wedding was held outside and the photographer was taking pictures outside so we hung out in a seating area in the lobby. I noticed a rug in the center area that had two edges sticking up and I saw several people kinda trip over it. I went to tell the bartender and she couldn't care less, after she dramatically removed her ear bud (like I was inconveniencing her). She told me to tell a staff member! I never saw anyone that looked like they worked there. A little while later I noticed two chairs were moved to that corner of the rug and that appeared to resolve any tripping hazard. The rug was well worn and just needs to be replaced, if a rug is even needed at all. The ladies room, with a sitting area, is spacious and beautiful. I did see a pleasant young lady use a blower to clear all the leaves off the area where the guests would be seated. We went outside to find a seat for the wedding. It was nice that the seating area is down from where the ceremony was held at the top of the stairs, so it had a great view. Right as the processional began a freight train had their whistle blowing, so it might be good if future weddings know the train schedule! Things slowed down a little to allow the train to finish and then we enjoyed a beautiful ceremony. The sun was still streaming in through the trees and there was a slight breeze for a beautiful October outdoor wedding. Everyone was invited to hang out inside the lobby area waiting while they took more pictures outside. It was finally time for the doors to the reception area to open up. The reception area was beautiful and later when the dancing began, there were various colored lights that lit up in the overhead mini balcony sections along the ceiling area. Everyone found their table and then when it was time for the food to be served, we were summoned by table and you walk back behind where the bride and groom presided. There was a buffet line set up and you were served what you wanted by staff. The food was all delicious! We enjoyed attending a wedding at Aristide in Mansfield!
