Very clean hotel. Very quiet. Free parking. I don't like the sink being outside of the bathroom. I mean you have to touch the door before you can wash your hands but outside of the design flaw...I've stayed here twice.

We are Marriott loyalists. We try to stay at Marriott's whenever we can. This one is just ok. We checked in at 3am on a Friday morning and the night auditor was a bit grumpy. Took us a while to check in since she had to finish her cig outside before coming in and check us in during the middle of the night audit. The room could have been better. There was a stain on the bed sheets we didn't notice until the next mroning under the pillows and the shower also had an orange stain in it like a hard water stain. The bed was old and really worn out. We both just rolled to the middle and sank in. It was uncomfortable to say the least. I wanted a water so I went to the vending machine to get one. The vending machine on our floor was out of order so I went to the next floor down. That vending machine when you hit the water button was giving out sierra mist. I tried twice. I went to the same front desk the night auditor and she said, "I know you don't need to say anything & gave me $4". Then she said, "You can buy water here for $4.25." I said ok and bought a liter of water. That night we were awakened at 4am by the room across the hall yelling and swearing. We tried to go back to sleep at 8am we went down for breakfast & the food was kinda gross. Hockey puck eggs & sauage, and cold bagels. We made do. We then asked the morning manager to change rooms due to the neighbors & he was very accommadating. Our new room was also just ok. Front 2 lights were burnt out & the shower had a huge gash in it with a chaulk repair job. The sink had a crack in it. At least the bed was comfy in this room. They do have free Wi-Fi which is always a plus, but that doesn't make up for the rooms. We probably would not stay at this location again we have stayed at the full service Marriott down the street and the Courtyard down the street and they are much, much better.

We reserved a room at this hotel for two nights prior and after Thanksgiving, Wednesday and Thursday, 2023. Paid a premium for it at about $200 a night. Checkin Day - I called to see if they could upgrade us or put us in a higher level since we were assigned 214. The lady in the phone said no. Called later and the guy said no as well. Both times I mentioned I was the top tier with Hilton HONORS but they didn't care. When we finally got to the room, we were disappointed. The room was not as clean as other Homewood hotels, we were on the 2nd floor out of 6 or 7, among other issues. I called for sheets, extra pillow and dish soap. As far as the breakfast, by far one of the worse breakfast offerings for a Hilton by far or lack of offerings. No waffle maker, eggs were runny and made from liquid eggs, cereal options were limited with no milk, etc. My kids didn't even want to eat it especially the next day. I would recommend staying at another one or you can do it. This hotel needs to be remodeled, deep cleaned, and hire friendlier staff.

What a fantastic stay that I had here 4th of July weekend, 2026. I only wish that the Downtown DC…read more250th 4th festival was as good--who was running that show!? The DC celebration turned out to be an unmitigated disaster on July 4th but what saved it was how great this hotel was. I could have stayed here a week. The people that work here are the nicest and most accommodating you will meet in the hospitality industry. I had so many requests and they did not deny a single one! The room was clean, the towels great quality (most), quiet, great preferred view of the front of the hotel. I did not eat any food here and breakfast was not included. They even had bar soap! Something hard to find in hotels these days. They make up the room once every two days unless you ask for everyday. They are generous about giving you fresh towels at the desk. For the price this hotel is great value in a nice safe area. I drove both days to Downtown DC and parked one time in Union Station ($26) --took 50 minutes to get there and another time in a private garage near Georgetown ($10)--took 40 minutes. You can also just drive to the Metro station close by and park and take the Metro but I always get lost on trains and it takes more time. If I got on a train I would end up in Chicago. I was here on the two hottest days on record over 110 degrees and you would never know it in the room. That room AC will freeze you out! I had to keep it on 70 otherwise I would need winter gear to sleep. The only rub to this hotel is the parking fee. They have a large easy to park lot, but they charge $10 a day parking fee. Close by within about 3 miles or so are 2 IHOPS, my favorite place to power up my day when I am on the road with their egg white omelet and pancakes. I ate at IHOP 3 days in a row! There are not a lot of services too close so I would stop at a grocery story or CVS to pick up water or other things for the room before checking in for the night. They sell water for $3.00 a bottle after the 2 free bottles per stay runs out. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip and and recommend this hotel to everyone.

What a phenomenal property…read more I have traveled much but with this Hilton Garden Inn's look, design, and comfort level, I feel like I should have paid twice more per night than what I had booked. Located in a quiet, business-medical area of Rockville, and within fifteen minutes of shopping and restaurants, the property is clean with exceptional lighting along with fun and modern design. (The designer should win an award for how they put so much together. Absolutely beautiful.) The rooms are large and comfortable with plenty of room. The bathrooms are well lit with powerful showers that can fit two. The property is quiet and relaxing, to say the least. My girlfriend and enjoyed the warmth of the hot tub, but the mechanism to fire the jets was broken. We dined at their restaurant, which was nice and convenient after a four-hour drive. Katie took care of us and she was attentive. Many thanks to Kalute at the front desk for his help, professionalism, and kindness. He's a great soul and a great ambassador for Hilton. We look forward to returning!

I got the feeling from the out lay and the large number of outlets they got a lot of business travelers and possibly conventions. It wasn't really a 'tourist' vibe and was not really close to mass transit into DC. It was what you'd expect, a bed and a place to put your clothes with all the personality of a box of Kleenex, but serviceable. The pools was ok but not really anything you can swim in, just float and cool off after a hot day. The restaurant was good BUT. the price was fair and the breakfast especially was good cost for value but each time there was just one server being run off their feet keeping stuff going which seemed rough on them. Hopefully the place appreciates these hard workers. We did have some issues with the small things that made me feel the place was planned by someone with a broken ruler. The in room coffee maker was not funvctional. It would be only a call to fix but the fact they were unaware of it before hand says something about the place too. The bathroom was oddly laid out with the toilet paper not within easy reach of the toilet, my wife was forced to move a roll onto the top of the toilet just to have it convenient. There was also an odd opening in the front of the bathroom cabinet, like a letter slot, but nothing underneath it. There was just one bed in the room and a questionable couch placed against the off wall. but the TV is lined up on neither. to actually watch it comfortably, I had to get out a desk chair and place it in the middle of the floor and the reception was pretty poor. ON CABLE with the sound often dropping out and picture pixelating badly. The go to channel when it turns on it the weather channel in the middle of the selection dial. and I'm not interested in the afternoon showers in salt lake city when I'm in a hotel in DC. Overall it wasn't a bad stay and the reason for the stay might have colored by overall views but it was neither good nor bad. it was. Just that, it was.

I'm extremely disappointed with how management handled an incident during our stay…read more We were staying at the hotel for a youth tournament and had purchased approximately $40 worth of donuts for our team of six- and seven-year-old children. On the morning of checkout, we carried one load of our belongings downstairs and then immediately returned to our room to get the rest. While we were downstairs, housekeeping entered our room and took the donuts. We had NOT finished removing our belongings from the room, had not turned in our keys, and had not checked out. When I brought this to the manager's attention, his first proposed solution was to speak with housekeeping and retrieve the donuts for us. I explained that I was not comfortable serving young children food that had been removed from our room, taken elsewhere, and handled by other people. They then offered to provide breakfast sandwiches from the hotel kitchen. While I appreciate that an alternative was offered, we had a tournament game in approximately 40 minutes and needed to leave. More importantly, our team had eaten dinner at the hotel the previous night and it took over TWO HOURS for our food to arrive. Given that experience, waiting for the kitchen to prepare breakfast for the team when we needed to get to a game was simply not a realistic solution. I asked the manager for a $40 credit so that we could quickly replace the donuts that housekeeping had taken and get our children to their game on time. He refused. That is the part of this experience that bothers me the most. Mistakes happen. If housekeeping mistakenly believed we had left and removed the donuts, I can understand how that could happen. What I cannot understand is management refusing such a simple and reasonable resolution. We were still guests occupying that room. Hotel employees removed approximately $40 worth of our property before we had checked out. We were not asking for an excessive refund or a free night--we asked for the cost of replacing what their employees had taken. Returning food after it had been removed and handled by housekeeping was not appropriate when that food was intended for six- and seven-year-old children. Waiting for the hotel kitchen was not feasible when we had a game in 40 minutes, particularly after waiting more than two hours for food from that same kitchen the night before. A $40 credit would have resolved the entire situation immediately. Instead, management chose to lose a customer over $40 and left us scrambling to replace breakfast for a team of children on the way to their tournament. The lack of accountability and basic customer service was incredibly disappointing. I would not stay here again.

This feedback was extremely organized, step-by-step commentary on every item on which I reported, good or bad, as was the case for the other reviews. Similarly, a day before checking in to the CAMbria, I got a text from "Cam" checking with me in advance. My big question... at what point will an actual human act on my comments? Original review begins here: I had planned to stay at a Cambria hotel in the DC area for a few days, redeeming points. There were several from which to choose. The Rockville Cambria had the most reasonable cost (points or dollars), and the lowest daily parking rate. It was also very convenient to the Red Line of the Metro, which allowed for travel to and from the area. The parking garage was adjacent to the hotel, with easy in/out access at no charge. My room was spacious, and the bed was comfortable. While I could get the room quite dark at night, the bathroom door had a large, frosted window, so if someone else in the room used the bathroom at night, the light from the bathroom still lit up the room. Noise could be an issue. I occasionally heard conversations elsewhere. My room also overlooked the street, and at various times at night, any outside activity could easily be heard. If noise bothers you, consider asking for a higher numbered room on any floor - they appear to be "around the corner, so to speak, and possibly quieter. The is a restaurant/bar area, though I did not have any food or drink at the hotel during my stay. Many places to eat, drink, or shop are within walking distance. The one issue I had is that the hotel appears to be low on "Do Not Disturb" signs. On my last night at the hotel, someone in another room on the floor stole the one from my door. I asked for another, but the gentleman at the front desk said none were available, though I would not be disturbed, because maid service will not happen unless requested (which was true). My stay here was enjoyable, and I would definitely return.
