Nice coffee area and frig nook
    Monie H.

The room was clean and a good size. (We had a king bed.) The sofa, microwave, and mini frig were welcome amenities. There is a large parking lot and a small pool and exercise room. Staff was very nice. They answer questions and were friendly. The hotel is located in convenient part of Pearland. It's close the to freeway, Walmart, shopping centers, gas stations, restaurants (some good ones, not just fast food), a park, etc. Some places are walking distance away. The hotel offers a complimentary breakfast (It's was not tasty to me, but "complimentary" rarely is.) The hotel seemed understaffed. We didn't receive clean towels or have our room cleaned until late afternoon. Also, there was an "odd" chemical-like smell in the hallway on the third floor. This location is also a bit weathered and possibly needs some updates. Water simply stopped flowing to two of our friends' rooms. After an hour and a half of trying to fix the pipes to those rooms, the hotel did offer to move them to other rooms. There was a thunderstorm one afternoon, and electricity to the entire hotel went out for the night. Nearby hotels were fine. The hotel did have the power company working on the problem, and the electricity came back on about 3:00 AM. I did appreciate that hotel offered us 1/2 off our bill for the night we had to sleep there with no electricity. {Anyone for an indoor campout? Ha!} It's on OK hotel if you have to stay in this part of town. Cleanliness, positive staff, and proximity to highways and places boost it to 3 stars.

    Bacteria Lemon Water

I stayed here yesterday and there was E. coli in a container of lemon water prepared for customers, in a dispenser at the front entrance. There is a manager who works there named Leslie who feels like it is OK to serve it to the guests. My daughter drew a glass of this water and you could see the bacteria floating in the water. I did not know of this before I drew a glass of it and drank as well and then noticed that there were black pieces floating around in the lemon water . I told this to Leslie she did not care. She took it upon herself as I recorded myself viewing the (bacteria) black foreign pieces in the glass and showing her. she decided to dispense some of the lemon water which also had large pieces of bacteria floating around in it. She did not remove the water Dispenser. Instead she decided to leave it there and throw away the cup she had with the bacteria and then had nerve enough to begin conversation about it with a Spanish-speaking worker in Spanish. I am bilingual - yo Hablo Espanol and comprehend Espanol. I understood what she was saying about black customers and it was very degrading and hurtful. I am hoping that someone in upper management will take the time to read this review and take action. she discounted my hotel stay however that does not compensate for being humanly degraded and disrespected and ill from drinking lemon water full of bacteria. When I attempted to contact the hotel a few minutes ago she kept transferring me to vacant numbers and accusing my daughter of stealing a swimming towel. Somehow she feels that this behavior is representative of your hotel and feels like it is OK. Also in terms of my privacy she mentioned that she was watching my children and I on camera the entire time I feel violated!

We have friends that live in Pearland and we try to see them as often as possible. This hotel couldn't be more convenient for us, since it's literally right outside their neighborhood. Here's what I love about this hotel: ~It's brand new and is still shiny. Everything works like it's supposed to and the hotel and rooms are all pretty. ~All the rooms are suites and are perfect for traveling families. A pullout sofa bed for our son means we don't have 3 people trying to share 2 beds. A fridge and microwave both make it more economical to have a little food available in the room. ~Continental breakfast. We all know you're not getting a 5-star breakfast this way, but it cuts down on the high cost of eating out when you're traveling. There's nothing better than being able to grab a bagel or bowl of cereal before you hit the beach for the day. ~The price. $80/night on a holiday weekend? I'll take it! Here's the only thing I don't like: ~They don't allow dogs. If not for this one little thing, this hotel would be perfect and I'd gladly give them a glowing 5-star review. (Are you listening, Marriott?)

What crazy weather we have had since landing.

The owner also owns the barbershop around the corner in the same plaza and came quickly to meet me to do the tour once I arrived. He responds quickly to texts and calls. Here are my notes: venue comes with - 60 folding chairs - 2 round tables - 5 (4 ft) rectangle tables - 4 (6 ft) rectangle tables - 4 high top bar tables - 24 bar stools - 3 buffets for food service, one large cooler, a cold drink fridge, one very small food warmer (small black box next to the white cooler in my video). - Separate gender bathrooms - WiFi and Bluetooth Sound system with good volume that can be loud. Can show a slideshow on TV. (Everything was out in the video except for some of the stools. You can set up how you want.) The time you reserve includes set up and break down (chairs and tables need to be broken down and placed against the wall). Unless you pay an additional fee for him to set up and break down for you. Trash needs to be taken to dumpster at the end of your rental. Parking is what is available in the plaza. There is a small lot right next to the venue that was empty when I toured. He will unlock door and walk through at the beginning of your time and come back for walk through at end of time. $200 refundable deposit is required to book and signed contract (cash, cashier check, M.O. or Zelle). Full payment is due 2 weeks before your event (can do PayPal invoice). These are my notes and ratings based on the tour, not based on me using the space. When I toured, they just had an event recently, so it had not been cleaned or broken down yet. Which I am grateful for because that let me see the potential of how many the space will hold with all the tables and chairs out.

I called this venue multiple times trying to speak to a live person. I would always get a voicemail…read moreand would leave a message and or text just as the person on the voicemail asked it's caller to do at that time. I also sent emails inquiring about the venue to have my baby shower, but I guess since I wasn't talking 100 or more guests, the owner or manager didn't bother to return any of my calls or emails. A relative and I even stopped by the venue and what do you know? Doors locked and lights off...during their so-called hours of operation. If your event is over 100 guests and you are okay with spending unnecessary large amounts of money for a venue tucked in the back of bunch of other office buildings off a busy FM2234/ Mchard Rd this spot may work for you. If this venue is meant for large or specific events only then specify that and at least call the potential client back. It was tacky and unprofessional to have never received any feedback or replies from management. Well the same day I took a drive to this venue and no one was in sight when I arrived was the same day I found the perfect and unique venue where I held my baby shower which had way more space for guests, food, gifts and games. The owner also gave me fab rate. So no thanks, Reflection Bay keep your venue. There are others with more amenities and management who will humbly communicate with any potential client.

Still, it was a great venue. Things went well technically, with videos display in multiple places. The food was great, but I believe family members provided the food. I can see this being a great venue for any family gathering... birthday, wedding, etc. Definitely give these folks a call if you need a place to hold your event.

I am a Houston bride who attests to the hard work and dedication that this company boasts. Previous…read morereviews are related to a different company, essentially, since this group is recently under new management. Please, disregard and move forward with the best decision you'll ever make (and I mean that in every context of the phrase.) The "new" En Vogue was the best choice I made for my wedding. Stephanie (owner) is my coordinator, and she is everything a busy girl needs in her life. Stephanie is like a personal assistant-wedding edition, and she genuinely cares about bringing your vision forward. I cannot stress how important it is to have a coordinator who is ON, all the time. Since I have a crazy schedule and unpredictable work hours/home hours/school hours, it was imperative that I select a full service package. And y'all-En Vogue delivers. She texts me, calls me, tags me, picks up vendor samples for me, proof reads emails for me, communicates with all the top vendors in the city, and goes above and beyond to de-stress a very stressful season in my already-chaotic life. I knew that wedding planning while balancing my full time job and full time school, among life's other surprises, would be a challenge. But she and her team make it feel organized. Essentially, Stephanie's most frequented phrases are "Do you see this for YOUR wedding?" And It's taken care of." Do yourself a favor and don't have a small stroke while planning your wedding. This team knows exactly what they're doing and their kindness and dedication shows.

I am very surprised to see all of the positive reviews on Wedding Channel regarding, En Vogue…read moreEvents, because I had the complete opposite service. To start off, it is not my goal to defame En Vogue Events, I am still a bride and customer service is HUGE to me. When looking for vendors, I want the opinions of an honest bride to help me, before signing a contract with a vendor. So, this is my reason for writing. I cancelled my services with the company over two (2) weeks ago and purposely waited this long before writing a review, to see if Haley Hughes would call to reconcile and admit to not following the contract, the company never called/email to apologize, so I decided to let her brides know what I experienced. If I were a confrontational person, who was rude and derogative, then I can expect a company/individual no longer provided their services, but I am the complete opposite. I just expect to get what I paid for and for a company/individual to do their job. I am still in the process of planning my wedding and when I worked with En Vogue Events, it started off okay, but then I noticed Haley would not respond to emails in a timely manner, I would have to remind her to send over timelines, she did not attend the floral meeting (which was stated on the signed contract), she did not contact me to attend meeting with other vendors (also on the signed contract), unreturned phone calls/emails...etc. When I first met with Haley, I mentioned that customer service is the most important quality of a company. She expanded on how she is great at that, she is anal and so business will get done...etc. Just last this month (May 2011), I had to cancel with her in the middle of my planning, because there is no way I wanted to give someone thousands of dollars and they did not care about my wedding When I realized I could not take it anymore, my fiancée and I schedule a meeting with Haley to discuss how this business relationship is not working and what she was going to do; since she did not follow parts of the contract. She understands that my fiancée and I live 60 miles out of the city, so we had to prepare the night before to meet with her. She wrote me around noon, the day we would meet, to cancel. This was not the first meeting she cancelled. After that, I knew she did not care about our wedding. Our venue in Dallas is beautiful and most of the brides who host their wedding there, is willing to pay a lot of money for vendors. Our contact at the hotel has many years of experience and loves to hear about vendors, so she can recommend to her brides. We also plan on having our wedding figured in magazines and websites, which would have also brought her additional contacts. I have no idea if it was a personal grudge (which I have no idea why it would be, because Haley and I barely spoke, she only showed to one meeting to get to know me.) The hotel recommended a new planner in Dallas and we are so happy. I said I would not go over budget for a planner, but I did, just because her recommendations from the hotel, and from other brides was positive. So if someone is willing to go above and beyond, we are willing to pay. This is a long email and I did not included other instances my fiancée and I had with En Vogue Events, but working with them was the absolute WORST part of planning this entire wedding. So, if you want a planner to care about you and your special day, in my opinion, this is not the company.

The staff was very friendly, and check-in was a breeze. When I first arrived, there was a bit of a line at the front desk, so I went straight to my room and tried the digital key. Surprisingly, it worked right away--which rarely happens--so I was able to get settled without any issues. I noticed signs throughout the hotel mentioning that housekeeping had December 25th off to spend time with their families, which I thought was very considerate. I had no issues related to that during my stay. The room was well equipped with a microwave, mini fridge, and a coffee maker similar to a Keurig. The TV is a smart TV and includes Netflix, which was great. Breakfast is not included, which is typical for a Hilton Garden Inn, but there is an option to order breakfast in the morning. I went down to the lobby to do some work and saw a few other guests, but it was never crowded. The property also has an outdoor pool and a fitness center. One thing that caught me by surprise at checkout was an added "Shadow Creek" fee, which is tied to the neighborhood or area of the hotel. This fee--about $4--was not included in the original booking confirmation email, so just be aware of that if you're booking a stay in Pearland. Overall, I had a great stay. The staff was friendly, the hotel was quiet, and I would definitely recommend this location.

Check-in was seamless as I checked in through the Hilton Honors app. When I arrived, there were several guests waiting at the front desk, so I went straight to my room and used the digital key, which worked perfectly. Nice touch: the TV welcomed me by name, and the AC was already running, so the room was cool and comfortable when I walked in. This was very much needed since it was 79'F on Christmas day!! The room itself was pretty much what you'd expect from a Hilton Garden Inn: a comfortable king-size bed and standard amenities. I had limited interaction with staff during my stay since I bypassed the front desk for a physical key card. Not complimentary upgrade! One small FYI--when I booked the reservation, the total rate was different from the check out statement. There was a local fee listed as "Shadow Creek." I asked the front desk about it and was told it's a local area charge since the hotel is located in Shadow Creek. It was about $4, not a big deal, but something to be aware of. They let their housekeeper staff off on the 25th and it was a nice touch. Employees are your most important asset and kudos to management! It was a comfortable, and hassle-free stay.
