We needed somewhere to stay overnight for a couple late night/early morning flights. SpringHill Suites was a great option for the location and especially with a 24hr shuttle service! Inside the lobby and the bedroom/bathrooms are very clean. However some details of the bathrooms are what made me take off 1 star: -The toilet room has no ventilation fan and had a constant rubber smell present -The shower tub is quite narrow and shallow The beds are quite comfortable! The room was also very spacious complete with 2 beds, a desk area, and a pull-out couch to lounge on. Overall given the very clean rooms, pleasant front desk staff and the 24hr shuttle service, this was a nice stay to refresh in until it was time to head out to the airport. read more

The good: The room was clean and comfortable beds. The front desk personnel was very accommodating and kind upon departure. The bad: The evening front desk personnel. I called the front desk to let them know I was waiting at 3B for a shuttle pick up. Since a shuttle did not show up after 30 mins, I called back get an ETA. I was assured a shuttle was on its way and would be there any minute. As I was on the phone I saw a Springhill Suites shuttle and told them they were there. I got on the shuttle. And was taken nearly to the downtown location. I confirmed with the driver we were going to the 4955 Wiley Post location, and he said no you got on the wrong shuttle. He was kind enough to take me to the correct location even though I could tell he was irritated, and the whole shuttle ordeal took at hour and we didn't arrive to the hotel until 11 pm. The front desk should do a much better job of communicating that there are multiple Springhill Suite Shuttles and to be sure to take the shuttle that specifically says Springhill Suites Airport. When I explained to them that there needs to be a better system they looked like a deer in headlights and one even made a comment that in the 2 months he's worked there this has never happened. Well, I guess there's a first for everything. If it were communicated that there was a specific shuttle for their location and had the other shuttle driver confirmed his hotel location this could have been avoided. read more

This used to be a good little haven, a gem. Lately it's really become just a run of the mill two star. Last two times I've come, the internet is out. The management expects one to call a 3rd party call center to troubleshoot and connect. Came in tonight, and the tv wouldn't power down. I just unplugged. read more

The location is about 15 minutes from most parts of Salt Lake City, so it's not the most convenient, but 15 minutes is not a far drive. The rooms are pretty clean. There is continental breakfast, but nothing exciting. If you are looking for the basics of a hotel, this one is a good choice. 1 star off: The walls are paper-thin, so you can hear everything in the adjacent rooms. The SpringHill Suites Salt Lake City Airport is kind of in the middle of nowhere, but it is a nice and modern little hotel. The hotel is a few miles away from the airport and is next to a bunch of other airport hotels. Aside from that, it is pretty much next to nothing for another few miles until you reach downtown. My stay was short. I checked in after dinnertime and checked out before the sun rose to catch a 5 A.M. flight. The check-in process was quick but thorough thanks to Nicholas. The rooms are all studio suites with either a king bed or two queen beds. All rooms come with a large sofa that is also a sofa bed, a microwave, and a mini refrigerator. WiFi is free, and the TV is internet-enabled so you can easily connect with Netflix, Hulu, or any of those applications. Best of all, the bathroom is separated into two rooms. One is a sink and toilet, and the other is a sink and shower. The rooms are spacious and super comfortable. I definitely had a very relaxing and restful night during my short stay. Amenities inside the hotel include an indoor pool, 24/7 fitness center, laundry machines, and convenience store. Self-parking is complimentary, and there is a 24/7 airport shuttle. The shuttle is a shared service between the airport hotels, but it is quick and efficient. There is no restaurant inside of the hotel, but there is a complimentary hot breakfast buffet in the morning. Also, the convenience store has some premade food. Otherwise, the closest option for food outside of the hotel would be the restaurants in the the neighboring hotels or delivery. Downtown is the place to stay if you are in Salt Lake City for a vacation, but this hotel is extremely convenient if you are traveling for business or just need a quick night's rest. read more

Clean and modern amenities with an excellent location near the airport. We spent one night here and were well rested when we caught our early morning flight. The shower was hot and had great water pressure. We didn't take the free airport Shuttle - we opted to pay the $10 parking fee and returned our rental car in the morning. We walked to the restaurant next door for dinner (in a competing hotel). No complaints about this hotel - not sure how the free breakfast is because we left super early. This is by far the WORST Marriott property I've ever stayed at! To start the top sheet wasn't close to large enough to cover the bed forcing us to use the top sheet. The blanket was covered with black stains. The floor was sticky and appetizing as though it hadn't been vacuumed! When I spoke with the front desk supervisor in the morning about it he apologized and assured me he would add points to our stay, and did not! So this is a DISGUSTING property with management that not only clearly doesn't care they LIE to your face! STAY AWAY FROM THIS DUMP! You've been warned! read more

The key machine -- and the backup key machine -- were inoperative when I arrived. No room key available for for my stay (and no notification call when the machine was fixed). A pile of trash (image attached) was in the hallway on the fifth floor when I checked in at 5:30pm, and remained until the following morning at 5:30am when I departed. Numerous people in the lobby not wearing a mask and no effort by staff to encourage compliance for the safety of guests.h in Elevator Many hotels st which I have stayed the past two months have returned to a full breakfast offering. The stay here was great. I loved that the toilet room was separate from the shower/sink. Everything was functioning as they should and spacious enough for us 4. The pool was smaller than we'd like and there was no hot tub but it was clean and had towels ready for us. Pool opened until 11am. Gym was nice and clean and had water avail (in case you need to refill your water bottles). Gym was also open 24hours If you're on the 1st floor, what sucks is the ice machine is on the upper floors. I loved that when they checked us in she asked if we preferred a floor. I picked the 1st floor since it's close to the pool, gym and breakfast, but what we didn't know was our room was next to the kitchen so we heard a lot of noises at 4 o'clock in the morning (room 117). I don't think any hotel should put a room that close to that much noise. read more

Part of the reason to stay there was free breakfast. Breakfast there is a disaster. while the rooms were old and tired, breakfast was not monitored at all. When we got there both coffee urns were empty. the trash was overflowing. I'd steer clear of this hotel. plenty of others around. read more

This SpringHill Suites is off site of SLC locates with several other airport hotels. They don't have a restaurant. There are a couple of other nearby hotels that do that are within walking distance. No significant number of restaurants or bars within the area. It's more of an industrial park area. Room was nice and king bed was very comfortable. Room is modern. Breakfast on a Saturday started at 7:00, which is later than it needs to be for an airport hotel. Then the food was not ready at 7:00, and I went back to my room after 7:15 and the remaining food was still not out. I was double charged at check out. I stayed for one night and the receipt showed two nights. The front desk person changed it after I caught it, but their system was what was trying to charge me for a day that hadn't even happened yet. It's an ok pal e to stay. I like Marriott properties, but this one seems like it needs stronger, more involved management. read more

Arrived late, check in was fast and efficient. Double queen rooms are large and also include a sofa bed, mini fridge and microwave. Separate bathroom area and shower area in the room, great for families. Rooms were fresh, updated and clean. Great choice for near the airport. read more

Our stay here was pretty fabulous. The room was nice and clean and the fact that I rolled in at midnight made it seem like the pillows were made of clouds. We had 5 people staying with us, however, so we needed to utilize the couch. We scoured the room and large closet (it really was quite large--bigger than the one Harry Potter had to sleep in) but only found one scratchy blanket. I had no idea where our extra sheets were, so that was a bummer. In addition, the hot tub was no where to be seen and the continental breakfast was a complete zoo. We ended up sitting in the lobby on chairs while some little monkey children knocked pillows off couches. Although I wasn't happy with this arrangement, I was pleased with how the staff managed the problem. They kept the breakfast foods restocked and kept up with the monkeys, following them around and placing everything back where they originally were found. TIPS & TRICKS: * Enjoy the complimentary Chupa Chups located at the front desk (the strawberry banana ones are the best). * At night, grab a cup of complimentary coffee or hot cocoa. The front desk custodian, Matt, is an absolute life-saver. We booked a room at the la Quinta just next door, but the laundry machine there was out of order. He gave me a key to the laundry room to wash my clothes even though we weren't guests there. I'll certainly be considering this hotel the next time I'm in salt lake! read more

But there have been some bad ones and this one absolutely falls in that category! Look around and the place seems dingy and dirty. My wife went to hang up a towel and the towel rack literally fell off. It's not a good property. Would never stay here again. read more

I had a long terrible day traveling and ended up stuck in SLC. I needed wifi so I could work on rearranging my travel plans and I needed to sleep in as late as possible because my outbound flight didn't depart till 2 pm. The wifi didn't work so I had to try to do all my work using a hotspot. And housekeeping ignored my Do not Disturb sign and attempted to enter my room. Waking me up. All I wanted was wifi and sleep. I didn't get either. When I got to my next destination my electric toothbrush and case ($50) wasn't in my bag. I realized I must have left it in the hotel that morning. But of course it wasn't in lost and found. That would have been too much trouble for the cleaning lady. Just like checking with the front desk to see if I checked out was. Banging on the door and throwing my stuff out was much easier. A really stressful trip was made worse by this hotel. read more

The pro's: a very family friendly pool! It's a small pool, & there's no hot tub. But there are some really cool fountain/jets that shoot in to the pool, & the water was NOT overchlorinated! Yay! No burning eyes. The pool deck was clean, & there were plenty of clean towels in the pool area. Also, the hotel is located in a quiet area. It is an airport hotel, but it's not like it's next door to the Tarmac. I didn't hear any planes, or vehicle traffic, either. The con's: I've never said this about a Springhill before (and I've stayed at many), but this locations' breakfast offerings were terrible. Both quality & quantity. If there was anything good to be had, it was in short supply! The only thing on my plate that ended up being halfway edible was a slice of pound cake, and even it was partially frozen. The area around the hotel doesn't offer much. There are a few lackluster restaurants within walking distance (and they're all attached to other hotels). It's located in a decidedly industrial area. The front desk didn't offer anything in the way of upgrades, even though we're Gold Elite Marriott "peeps". For that reason, I wouldn't stay here again. But for a traveller looking to rest between flights, or the like, this hotel isn't the worst place you could stay. read more

We stayed at the Spring Hill suites on Jun 30 2018. It was an extremely pleasant visit. Room was clean and in order. The ac was working very nice on an extremely hot day. The hotel has a lot to offer in the pool , workout room and area outside to relax. I would recommend this place to stay. read more

The only place I stay at near the airport. Rooms are new and always clean. Besides a couple of restaurants in the adjacent hotels, there's no where to eat unless your willing to drive 10mins south to West Valley City. I be back next week and I'm looking forward to it! My only complaint is that the wifi doesn't accept a secure connection with my email so I have to teather to my iPhone to send emails. I made a reservation for the hotel for this evening Reservation Confirmation #70601881 and when I arrived the front desk informed me that I hadn't paid for my room. I called my Marriott membership rewards and they couldn't get anyone from the hotel to rectify the problem. Called American Express and filed a complaint because the room rate $134.71 had been charged to my account. I've have never been treated in such a manner in the 20+ years I have been an Marriott reward member. I want others to know that this property Springhill Suites is not a Marriott service property. Stayed here for a three day trip after another hotel had to cancel our reservation due to misinforming us about a policy. We were happy with our new reservation here! The room was nice, and the location was very close to downtown. The bed was very comfortable, and our room had a split bathroom so one person could use the shower while the other was in the other bathroom. TV allowed us to sign into Netflix. There's a very strong perfume smell in the main lobby that was a bit overwhelming but other than that have zero complaints! read more

The only challenge is you get road noise from the freeway, but that is the only challenge. This is my second time here. Very pleasant staff. One exit from the airport. Good view of mountains. They have a little breakfast bar but no real restaurant to speak of, so get a rental car so you can dine & shop elsewhere. Or you can walk to another hotel that has a restaurant. It's about 30 minutes drive from historic Park City. Great restaurant there; Sundance. Another good restaurant; Red Iguana. They have a little indoor swimming pool here. The fitness center is just 2 treadmills, a bike , an elliptical, and a couple of weights. Room is spacious with a little living room, small refrigerator, and microwave. read more

The facilities are clean and the hotel is modern and well designed. The hotel advertises a shuttle from the airport, but after several attempts and being put on hold for over 6 minutes, I had to take a taxi to the hotel which cost be $30 dollars despite only being 1.5 miles from the airport. When I finally checked in and explained my experience to the manager, she said that they were too busy and are often understaffed. I expected more from Marriott, especially as a Platinum Elite member. read more
