The door would not shut completely, which is a serious safety concern. The air conditioner barely cooled the room, and it made an unbelievably loud noise all night, making it difficult to sleep. I understand the hotel is undergoing construction, and that wasn't the problem. In fact, the construction workers were more courteous than some of the hotel staff. When we tried to change our reservation because of the room issues, the employees were rude and dismissive. The front desk employee this morning, Jeremy, was especially unprofessional. He refused to provide his name when asked and treated us with complete disrespect. We've been loyal guests for years because of the tournament, but after this experience, we'll seriously reconsider staying here again. Basic maintenance, customer service, and respect for paying guests should be expected at any hotel. Unfortunately, this stay fell far below those expectations.

The room was very clean and the staff were personable. I recommend this property to weary travelers. while I did not conduct any business meetings here, I would recommend them being considered as a top location.

I started looking for the next LaQuinta and was stressed because it was dark, cold, and getting late. I had no place to stay and 3 animals in the car. I called the Stillwater property and spoke to Rachel (I think) who was working the front desk. She was quickly able to confirm a reservation for that evening and accommodate my room requests (first floor, near exits). She honored the hotels.com rate and explained this property did not charge extra pet fees though others did (cough cough Edmund cough). She was super sweet and helpful. The hotel is only a 10 minute drive or so east of the 35. Check-in was a breeze (they handed out sanitizer and wipes!). Location felt very secure with ample grassy areas on all sides for dog walking. I could park right outside my window. Location felt very safe and lots of food nearby. Would definitely stay here again and am thankful for the help in a bad spot.

My PS5 was connected to the television, and moving the dresser caused the HDMI cable to become pulled tight. Afterward, the PS5 no longer worked properly, and the HDMI port appears to have been physically damaged. I calmly reported the issue to Assistant General Manager Clint Castoe and asked the hotel to take responsibility or at least document what happened. Instead, he immediately blamed me. He claimed that "loss" and "damage" were the same under the hotel's policy, even though the written language referred to loss of personal valuables. He also told me I had not used common sense by plugging in my PS5 and said I had no right to move furniture in the room. When I calmly asked him to show me where the hotel's written policy said guests could not move furniture, he became visibly angry, turned red, and told me I could go back to my room, check out immediately, or he would call the police. I remained calm the entire time. I did not threaten anyone, raise my voice, or cause a disturbance. I was simply asking management to address damage that occurred after housekeeping moved furniture in my room. What upset me most was not only the damaged PS5, but the complete lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic customer service. Rather than investigate the situation, complete an incident report, or speak respectfully, management became defensive, insulted my judgment, and used the threat of police to end the conversation. I am truly blown away by how this was handled. Guests should be able to report property damage without being blamed, talked down to, or threatened. I would not recommend this location based on the way management responded.

It reeked of mildew, musk, and chlorine. The shower was leaking, the dressers draw caused a trip hazard and wouldn't close. The electronics were all over the place. The room was a complete dump. I went downstairs and told the guy who checked us in and he insisted that he look at the room. He looked and agreed it was a mess. He told us there were no other rooms available even though there weren't many cars in the parking lot. He offered to send us to the Springhill Suites instead, but it is on the outskirts of town instead of a 15 min walk to Gallagher Iba. We told him we would switch to a Hilton which is where we typically stay and wanted s refund. 20 minutes later he came back and magically found us a room. The room was better but the AC thermostat wasn't working properly. The guy who checked us in looked at it and said he didn't know how to work it. He never offered to send a tech up. Dennis who he was on the phone with was super nice and said he would try to either get me a discount off the price or Mariott reward points. I even told the two women who checked us out on Sunday what happened and they said they would look into it and I wouldn't get a final receipt until it was finalized. I got an email receipt 30 minutes after I left town. There was my answer. They gave the impression that the hotel owner was cheap and probably wouldn't do anything. The place is a dump. The pool was closed and there was no mention of that or that they were doing a remodel on their website. Definitely wouldn't not recommend. I left a bad review and Chet Patel reached out. His email is solankichetansinh@yahoo.com. His employees apologized for the bad experience but advised that Chet was cheap and would not reimburse me. I think Chet initially took offense but quickly overcame his cheapness. He told me he would refund my visit but after several responses where he said he would refund me, it just never happened. It showed what a cheapskate his employees told me he was. I would never stay here!!!

When I came back they had never come. I ended up asking for a laundry basket to put my dirty towels in and get a couple clean ones.

The staff member was sitting at a table in the lobby eating take out and watching tv on his phone, and he left me standing at the desk for a long time before coming to check me in. I don't think there was an employee at the counter the entire 3 days I was at this hotel. They were always either hiding in the office or hanging out with friends/eating in the lobby. When I finally got into my hotel room, the shower curtain was covered from top to bottom in dirty hand prints like in the picture. I understand that everyone is understaffed these days and it must be hard to keep up with the cleaning demand, but this was egregiously dirty. I called the front desk to ask to explain the situation, and the staff member was barely apologetic, and I had to ask for a new room - it was not offered to me. The next morning, there wasn't much food at the continental breakfast. The pancake machine was broken. The cereal dispenser was almost empty. The fridge barely had any food or drink in it. However!! I will say -- the sausage gravy and biscuits are actually so delicious. I was shocked at how good it was. I'm not giving this hotel 1 star because there were a few staff members who were very kind and polite throughout the stay. I probably won't ever stay here again when I am back in Stillwater for work travel.

I don't usually leave negative reviews, but this stay was beyond disappointing. The hotel was…read moreoverbooked by five rooms, and despite having a confirmed reservation for two queen beds, we were given the last unoccupied room in the hotel, a king room. We specifically needed two beds, but the front desk clerk didn't care at all -- as we checked in at 2am she was only interested in the fact that we were last check-in for the night. The room smelled musty and was dirty, showing a clear lack of upkeep and cleaning standards. After our stay, when we called to complain, the general manager told us we should consider ourselves lucky we even got a room and that we "did not get charged for the upgrade" to a king suite, as if giving us the wrong room type was some kind of favor. She also admitted that she routinely overbooks the hotel and does not honor room type reservations, then claimed it wasn't her fault because "third parties overbook the property." This explanation either shows she doesn't understand how her own business works or is just purely interested in maxing revenue to the detriment of customers, since overbooking is a deliberate hotel practice, not something that magically happens. Even one of the front desk employees later acknowledged that the hotel was overbooked and said the situation "should have been handled better." To make things worse, IHG corporate seems completely unable to do anything about franchisees who operate in this manner, leaving guests stranded and frustrated when management refuses to take responsibility. I've stayed at many IHG properties over the years, and this was by far the worst experience I've ever had. I would avoid this property entirely as it is highly likely that if you are able to get a room at all it will not be the type of room you reserved and it will no doubt be dirty and smell awful. In addition, you might want to just avoid all IHG properties in general.
