I specifically asked for the curries not to be oily but was too oily there was no makhani present in the daal unlike the first time! The spices were not grounded and were whole whilst chewing the food i'm afraid there was no consistency between the chefs. you could tell a different chef had prepared my food this time. overall I was very disappointed in my food, I think I will leave ordering again.

Went there last week (1st oct)with a work colleague…read more He ordered the Saag Gosht with extra chillies, I had a taste of it, it was pretty good with a balance of spices and of course extra green chillies. I ordered Bhindi Balti(okra), I remember asking the waiter if it was fresh and he said yes. What he forgot to say was fresh out of a tin. Although the spices were nicely balanced and it tasted quite good, it was definitely the tinned variety, which is not what I expected. However it would not put me off going there again as there were so many other delights on the menu. They did'nt do chappatis, so we ordered tandoori roti which was excellent, hot and fluffy! The side salad we ordered was not worth mentioning. After the meal I went into the sweet centre part next door and bought some takeaway rasmalai and half a dozen gulab jamon which were both excellent the next day.

I find Morrisons has a different feel to it compared to Asda or Tesco, I think it has a friendlier atmosphere in general. They have a lot of tills, so queues aren't usually too bad. Another great point about this store, is it's in a shopping centre. This means there are other shops conveniently outside the till areas so you can look in other shops too. For example Specsavers and The Range (which is next door).

I had ordered here many times before and the food isnt bad, saying that the bhajis are pretty shabby. Its literally a few mins drive from where i live and delivery took over 1.5 hours only to discover the order was wrong, i was livid! No compensation was offered, just a sorry and a fairly insincere one at that. The curry here is mediocre just drive a little further down the road to Prashads or Mumtaz i guarantee its worth the monetary difference in price.

Its changed a lot inside with some nice furnishings, but sadly, I think they forgot to paint the woodwork, it looked dirty to be honest. Not to worry, we ordered food for take out. My first thoughts were the menu, whilst extensive, is a bit pricey for takeaway food. We ordered and sat down to wait. To be fair, the food was cooked in a reasonable time, however, what we saw next had to be seen to be believed. They guy who served us, went into the kitchen, obviously washed his hands and then came back out into the restaurant. He then walked up to a table, which had been set for customers to use, and promptly dried his hands on the table cloth!!!!!!! It got worse, his colleague went to clear some plates from a table, carried them towards the kitchen and promptly placed them on top of the container where all the clean knives and forks were. Food was dropping off the side! Its not often that I am lost for words, but this was unbelievable. If I hadn't already ordered and paid for our food, I would have have walked out and left. The staff just stood around chatting on their mobiles!!!!!! Never again would I eat anything from this place, what I saw convinced me that Hygiene is clearly not at the front of their mind, and explains why they were only given a 4 on the food hygiene rating. Disgusting place!!!!

The cafe has made a name for itself over the years, serving amazing cooked breakfasts and an extensive lunch menu, from sandwiches and light bites to 3 course meals, all cooked with fresh local produce. On our recent visit, we opted for the goats cheese and roasted vegetables in a filo pastry basket with pesto, and a panini. Both were presented with a colourful side of salad, with generous portion sizes that you come to expect in Yorkshire! Once you've finished dining in the cafe, the farm shop is a great place to browse for gifts and luxury foods. They have everything from jewellery and cookware to fresh local meats and baking goods. You can even get your turkey from there at Christmas! A lovely cafe and gift shop with plenty of parking and reasonable prices. Worth a detour!
