Had to use it for the first time the other day and the battery was dead. Replaced the battery and the key fob lit up but did not work. Reached out to the text message from a person named Ben who was the tech who came to my house to replace the key fob. Told me he would have to check to see if anybody was in the area that could check it out for me and that he would get back to me shortly. Waited 3 hours, called the main number at Ryan Locksmith and was told that a tech would return my call. Got a call from a guy who spoke broken English which I ended up hanging up on because I couldn't understand a word he was saying. Text this other person back by the name of Ben who said he's a freelancer and had no idea what company I was even referring to. So apparently this company doesn't have their own set staff. The key fob that I bought last year and had programmed has been junk since the moment the guy handed it over. The back of it fell off a few weeks after even having it and now it doesn't even work at all. Ended up going to another locksmith yesterday who said that the key fob just doesn't lose programming when the battery needs changed and told me that I had a bad key fob. This other company replaced the bad key fob with a new one, programmed it, and cut the key for half of the cost of Ryan Locksmith. This company is a joke - an absolute complete waste of time and money! Customers beware!!!

I tried calling our local garage who had us call another locksmith service. After getting the run around for 2 weeks (including them wanting me to call the Ford dealership for the ignition code, which I found out that Ford only keeps those codes for 10 years), we called AAA-1 in a panic. I was very upset because I called SEVERAL (14 total) services that were closer to me location wise, but got the same answering service who told us that they didn't service our zip code, even though one of them was IN our zip code. By the time I called them, I was in tears and very upset. I spoke with a lovely woman who calmed me down and told me that yes, they could come out and make a key to get into the trunk. I was so happy with their response. They were there within the hour, which is wonderful considering they had to drive 35 minutes (at least) to get to us. My hubby decided to have them make a chipped key for us right away, since they were there.
