The service was great, the…read moreunits were in top shape, checks were cashed on-time, I was very happy and felt a lot of trust in leaving my belongings here. In September 2019, I moved back to the area and needed to store some large items while looking for a permanent residence. In the 5 months I have been there, my rent checks have been lost (and I have incurred late fees for them), the insulation in the roof of my unit is crumbling and dropping gross, orange foam all over my items, and when the management payed to have the area repaved, the tar and asphalt got into my unit and damaged expensive and sentimental items. My door was fully closed so I assume the rubber weather stripping at the bottom of the door is damaged or cracked allowing things to get underneath. Now that I am moving out, all management can say is "Oh, I'm sorry," and not very sincerely at that. Also, they don't pro-rate rent when you move out early, so make sure you get your full month. Apparently the previous owner, that I dealt with in 2012 has since passed away. He left a wonderful legacy, one that this new management can not seem to live up to.

I have been at the car wash a few times and saw the gate to get into the storage sheds wide open the entire time I was washing my car . That should have been a red flag for me . I barely had my stuff in there a couple of weeks and my storage shed was robbed. The lock was missing from it and never did I get a phone call stating that there was no lock on my storage so they don't check the sheds every night like most storage places do. Just found out yesterday my storage was robbed. I will update my negative review at a later date once I see how diligent they are in helping me recover my things.

Got a few quotes, some super quick to respond, some ghosted me. Veteran's United was instant to give me a quote, quick to continue to respond and more thorough than anyone would anticipate!! I ended up getting this beast of a hot tub removed same day as inquiry with the most immaculate clean up job ever!! Both my husband and I are the type to usually take on these projects ourselves because we're DIYers but life is super busy right now, so hiring a company to have it removed seemed better than letting it sit so that we can be burdened by it's large task, daily. Having a husband and wife team who has a strong worth ethic, excellent communication, that's locally owned, we literally couldn't ask for better. I wouldn't hesitate to hire these folks again, I would completely trust their work on any project i throw their way. Poor security locks, Gina told us that locks were being updating to more secure, cuz of break ins when we signed contract (never happened)... most alarming is how owner treats his customers! Unprofessional, bully and is threatening. My story mis understanding, mailed my payments to 4655 Lakeshore Blvd. in error, paid the steep late fees and all rent, but felt physically threatened and that my storage unit items or boat was in harm from his encounters with me. Owner is reckless, dangerous and should be reported to the police! Despite being paid up, he evicted me and placed double locks on my unit. Upon my exit, he even drove by like a creepier, when i was removing my boat. This is a dangerous place... do not rent from them! He deserves to go out of business for his conduct and character!
