I found Hank through iCracked and he came to our house the other evening to replace batteries on our iPhones. He was very responsive when setting up the appointment. He was also very good regarding communications prior to his arrival. Hank was professional and very skilled regarding the repairs. He had the old batteries out and the new batteries in like it was nothing. He also give the phones a good cleaning and a once over. In addition, he sat with my wife and I to go over a number of settings that would help preserve battery life and protect privacy. That was a really nice touch. I had a cracked screen on my iphone and found iCracked through yelp with just one review in Hartford. I desperately needed the phone urgently as I had some very important tasks to take care of. I was new to the city and didn't have a car to go around. Without a phone I was pretty much crippled. I called them up and Tom helped me fix it immediately. I cracked my phone screen and couldn't get a timely appointment at the local Apple store. A colleague referred me to this service saying he and another colleague had had success with them in the past, and told me that the service technician comes to you which is very attractive vs. having to drive to the mall and deal with that unique hell. My technician, Dan, arrived on time and greeted me with a smile and a warm handshake as he set out to explain the procedure and performed the diagnostics. Once I signed the estimate, he went at it. It was, at times, gut wrenching to watch the process ( like a sausage being made) however, the phone appears to be working quite well with the new screen. Dan even attached safety glass to the new screen to make it more durable, for free. He also made sure that I had his personal card should I have any issues in the future. I called to get a quote on an iPad screen replacement. Knowing that most aftermarket screens will break the lock and unlock feature on any Smart Cover I called customer service to find out if the screens used by Icracked leave this functionality intact and not only did the customer service rep have no idea what I was asking but he had no idea how an iPad works and was extremely rude while failing to communicate anything effectively. Based on this conversation I would not trust this company to clean the screen on my iPad let alone replace it. read more

My daughter and I 'had' a good experience with joe....at first. My iPad is fine. But her iPhone screen stopped working 1week later. We tried to contact joe several times and heard nothing. She contact Icracked via phone and we have an email with the warranty approval. It has been a week and a half of her calling everyday and still no one has contacted her. She uses her phone for her business and now has lost business. She has sent pictures of her phone and has every email confirming that she has done everything that she is suppose to do. Be careful dealing with Icracked. Now it looks like she will have to take this issue to social media to warn people about this so called service. Update - so not sure what you do Evan but still no word on getting the phone fixed. Icrack has a big crack in their customer service. We will take this issue to a higher level. Will be happy to adjust this post if only someone would take care of the warranty issue. I cracked my iPhone's original screen and needed a fast fix since apple was booked...looked into this service online nd called. Came to my home fixed the screen after several attempts finally got it right charged $129 ( which apple charges ) after a day I started noticing that the screens touch function wasn't the same as the original for example when i tap the screen once it double taps which gets really annoying after a while when u have to re open screens that disappear becoz of the double tap glitch...I called to get it fixed but Hank denied it nd said no warranty ( which even apple gives a 30 days warranty) plus icracks policy says they give warranties but this guy claims he doesn't work with them when he clearly advertises that he does...also the finger sensor doesn't work anymore ...WORST service ever would not recommend it to anyone unless you like throwing away $120 read more

After a year and a half of good fortune, this morning I cracked the screen on my iPhone 5. It can happen. Subsequently wasted 20 minutes of my life, on the phone with the New Haven Apple store, trying to get them to tell me how much, and how soon. (Ultimately the answer was an appointment with the Genius Bar, and then and only then could they tell me!) The booth at the Milford Mall wanted $100, so instead I payed iCracked $115 to come to me. Anyway, their guy Horeb was most excellent. On time, polite, helpful. Even got this done on the Labor Day holiday. Still too much money, (ergo 4 not 5 stars, but hey, my misfortune is now behind me.) After many attempts to get my IPhone 6s cracked screen repaired I have finally given up. Had a service person come to the house who seemed like he was actually going to fix it. The screen he brought turned out to be defective and he assured me he would get a working one and get back to me. After repeated attempts to reach him on his private text without getting any response I asked directly in a text if he could at least let me know he was no longer going to be able to help me out. I worked with Joseph, who assures me that my experience is not indicative of his typical work. I want to give him the benefit of the doubt, but still feel that I should leave my comments to help folks make a choice on whether they should use this service. I had continued problems throughout the transaction with a lack of communication and responsiveness. This began with my initial pickup. When Joseph was already 30 minutes late, I contacted him and learned he would not be available during my window of availability. We rescheduled for the next day and again my tech was late, not contacting me until he was already supposed to be here for pickup. On the day when I was scheduled to receive my repaired iPad, I contacted the tech at the time we agreed he would arrive at my home for drop-off and learned that he had car trouble and would contact me when he was able to return to his shop and 'check on the repair'. I did not receive any more contact that day, despite an additional text requesting an estimate on drop off time. I texted again in the evening and in the morning and did not receive response until nearly two hours had elapsed. The response I got was that screen wasn't right and he needed to order a replacement. I began to communicate my need for proactive communication and disappointment with the service and communication when my iPad was two days beyond its stated return date. I elaborated to Joseph about my need for proactive communication and gave specific examples of the communication I expected. I also experienced almost constant arrival outside of my communicated window of availability, for example arriving 45 minutes late to deliver the repaired screen which does not lie flat around the home button. I have no desire to repeat service with this company and am frankly sad to have paid for this service. I should have attempted the repair on my own. I understand that in customer service there are those transactions where absolutely everything goes wrong and this could have been one of them, but I would NOT repeat this experience again and would also strongly dissuade my friends and colleagues from doing the same. I would not characterize the work as high quality and all of the service and communication around the work was wrong. This could have been a great opportunity to save customer experience with service, but this fell short of the mark. read more

My manfriend's daughter's cat thought it would be funny to watch her iPhone 5c go crashing to the floor. It was a brand new phone and the screen shattered.
