When the technician arrived, he immediately stated that he couldn't help us. Well, after another Yelp! search I found another company, Modern Mobile Home Services. Their technician, Will, came out, went under our house (not a gnome sized man like the previous company would suggest), quoted us a price, went back in and fixed our air ducts. First let me say as I write this review, the owner, Martin, has left…read moreus with a torn apart house we are trying to get on the market, a kitchen with no cabinets and has about $10,000 of our money we trusted him with and is no longer answering our calls or texts. He started over 4 months ago, said he would be done in a month and he has not finished ONE room. This is not just a one time incident, this dude has given us the run around from day one. He leaves for lunch saying "We will be back" and never shows back up. He told us he "hurt his back and was on medication" so we waited a month and finally had to call and see what was up... he answered (after about 2 days of me begging him to please let me know something) saying he would stop by (it was a Saturday) that day. Because our house has been in complete disarray for so long because of this man, we cancelled our plans for that night and waited. He never showed UNTIL the next morning - SUNDAY MORNING!(no call, no text to let us know he wasn't coming Saturday- he just came by banging on the door at 9am on Sunday) He came in looked around like he had forgotten what the place looked like and said he would be finished by next Friday. Well guess what?!? He never showed. Again. So here we go again with the texting and calling. Finally he does answer and texts me he had another job and would be by after he finishes this other job. And that brings us to today. He has not answered and I have to assume is just taking off with our $ now. Update- It has now been over 6 months and no word from this guy and he's changed his number. Not sure what to do...

He came back and gave me a quote of $1000 for materials and labor. (It's a small mobile home that he said was a 2 day job) I gave him the total amount and he never came back. For almost a month I got one excuse after another or no response at all. I told him I wanted to cancel the job and get my money back so that I could find someone else. He said no. I am an elderly woman who lives alone and I guess he thought he could take advantage of me. I told him I would make a police report and he said that they wouldn't do anything. You were wrong Joneric! It is a crime! It's called theft and they didn't hesitate to take the report. Now my next stop is the BBB. And then a civil suit if I have to. I saved that money for years. $10 here and $20 there and I'll be darned if you're going to steal from me Joneric!
