Using Yelp's Request a Quote feature, we found Pro Builders and were liking the idea of an A+ BBB company that has so much experience. From the initial consult, I was able to communicate what I was looking for and end up getting a fair quote on the house. Kent noticed some things on our roof and sent some crew members up there and lo and behold, they found a large amount of hail damage. Insurance agreed and we ended up using Pro Builders for a new roof and a painting job. They were super quick on the roof, matching the price identically to the insurance paperwork and they had everything done in a day or two and backed it with a five-year warranty. I was impressed and I think it looks really good. My only complaint with this was that there were tons of nails all over the yard and in the driveway afterward, and they camouflaged in a way that made them tough for me to find. With the paint job, the house came out looking amazing. They used Sherwin Williams paints and applied nice thick coats, repaired some wood rot (and triple checked with me when it was looking like it would do a bit over what we'd talked about), and got up into the highest parts of my house with no problem. There were a few miscommunications regarding the paint job, but at the end of the day Pro Builders made everything work and made any small mistakes or miscommunications right. That is more than most companies do, and they went above and beyond. I appreciated working with them on everything, and for me this was the most amount of money I'd probably ever spent on something so it was important to get right. They know their stuff and I'll continue to work with them whether it's here at our first house or our next one.

Noticed when we bought our home a few years back that there were new gutters and downspouts, except for a key area around our side porch. One group told us "oh, you can't have gutters there based on blah blah blah." I was discouraged and went another rainy season without them, only to have water slapping off the sides and messing with the foundation around it. This group came out, sized it up quickly, explained how they would go about putting gutters on, and that it wouldn't be difficult. I think the group who said I couldn't have gutters on this part was speaking in code for: this is a small job and we don't want to do it. Fortunately, the Gutter Cover crew did. They were really booked out, so we put this on the calendar and waited a month or so. This was one area for improvement. After I signed on to have the work done, there was zero communication, no emails, follow ups, calendar reminders, nothing. I even forgot about it, so I gave them a call to check in and then I was put on the calendar for the following day. Not a big deal, but a confirmation email would've been nice. The work was done quickly, and while it's dusty and dry with no rain in sight, I'm sure they'll hold up well. One thing I want to add to close this out. It isn't the biggest job, and the name of the biz is Gutter Cover, so naturally they would want to sell me on those. The guy I visited with picked up quickly that it wasn't of interest to me at this time, and wasn't pushy or rude. I really appreciated that and it gave me confidence to book them.
