People selling drugs in the apartment beneath me. Weird people coming through, here. When i called the landlord about the situation they would yell and reprimand me for some reason. The people downstairs complained about the "noise" of me just simply walking from one room to the next. If you're one day late with rent they stick the court order sign on your door that morning. You will need to go to court to deal with it. Owners son is a lawyer btw. I would have to go to the office to pay my rent, and the ladies in the office would ask me all sorts of personal questions, every time. Never missed my rent but it was very stressful dealing with all of this. Pipes smell moldy and get clogged. Not a pleasant environment or experience. If you're someone who pays your own bills look elsewhere.

And read all the reviews I'm j now that the warmer weather is here I can't even use the air conditioning that they supply in the living room because its got black mold growing inside of it. You try and call the office and no one ever answers the phone and when you go down there, they are inside but locked the door and have a sign saying they will return in a few hours.

When I signed my lease I was given a set of rules including noise and smell restrictions as well as not allowing any dogs to new tennants. Fast forward about 4 weeks and don't you know the next door neighbor smokes anything he can get his hands on. So I make a complaint as I have severe asthma, and I am told nothing can be done about it. Then the downstairs neighbors move in with a large, poorly trained pitbull (I have nothing against the breed) that barks every time someone walks in the building, is rarely on a leash when out, and regularly jumps on/attacks its owner's. They also cook pungent food several times a week to the point that my eyes water and I get nauseous, have domestic disputes on a regular basis, and have raucous parties every weekend. And to top everything off, when I went to move out, I had to wait because Beth from the office was an hour late for my appointment. Do not rent here.

The ladies in the leasing office (Linda and Pam) and the Maintenance Technician (Eddie), go above and beyond to ensure your holistic well-being. And the people who live here too are amazing - just the other night a neighbor I hadn't met yet knocked on my door to notify me that I left my car light on (avoiding a morning nightmare to a dead battery). As noted in previous reviews, some of the units are a little outdated (mine was) however I could see that some units were or in the process of being updated/renovated. You are within the perfect distance to Route 32 and 9W, close to gas stations, grocery stores, etc. The common grounds are well-maintained during summer & winter, parking can be tricky without designated lines but I never actually had an issue finding spots since everyone is mindful on how they park. They have coin-operated laundry in the basement and additional storage. They are pretty much the only housing complex in the area that is able to provide heat and hot water with a generator during outages, which was amazing. All this being said, I would recommend it to anyone who was looking to stay in Cornwall and on a budget, while my stay there last year was short, I never had an issue and both the on-site supervisor and owner were always helpful & responsive.

Rented an apartment in Cornwall from a D & M properties of NY, apparently a company directly ran by…read moreOlympia. Little did I know when renting said apartment, that the property had already been walked away from and was soon to be pursued by the bank. Landlord, also dba as Olympia, ignored most of my complaints. What complaints he did heed were quickly blamed upon me, such as the rotted plumbing that was backing up onto the bathroom floor due to it being fed into the backyard and not into the town's plumbing. As well, handshake agreement during lease signing to remove past tenants trash from side of house was ignored. Two months ago, after much pursuit by a trustee of the bank, an agent from the bank came to change the locks on the house; only to be thwarted by the police. Trying to leave the apartment now two months behind in rent and landlord is shamelessly, after grossly profiting from the rent, trying to recoup those two months rent. I'd assume that any business deal with this company is going to be risky, as proper facilities seem to not exist.
