Parking is plentiful, the history is intriguing, and the art scattered about the property is thoughtful and engaging. If you're lucky, you'll spot some wildlife who inhabit the surrounding area.

I come from a long line of steelworkers and thought I pretty much knew all there was to know. That was, until the tour. The tour guide was extremely informative. Most of the folks working (volunteering) at Carrie have some connection to the steel industry. In addition to the tour, I have had the privilege of attending events there as well. Yep, they rent out the space. Everything was well put together at the events and having the furances as backdrop took it to the next level. As far as the tours go, I feel so strongly that Pittsburgh natives and tourists alike take one. It's really incredible to learn how much of the country was built because of Carrie.

The Sixth Street Bridge renamed for the great Roberto Clemente is one that I would walk across…read moreeveryday when working downtown. I made it part of my lunch walking routine. The bridge that was built in 1928, connects downtown to the North Side & notably PNC Park where the Pittsburgh Pirates play. During games the bridge is shutdown to traffic making it completely pedestrian-friendly. The bridge is construed of steel eye bars. It's part of the Three Sisters Bridges which include the Rachel Carson Bridge & the Warhol Bridge. The bridge has been recently renovated and updated (2023).

Randy is a very nice man and it's wonderful the gift he has given Pittsburgh. His art is very eclectic and lots of fun. It's so much fun to walk around exploring all the things he has. I also love how colorful the building and all his things are. It really brightens up the neighborhood. He has a colorful and positive personality so it's a great representation of him. I also love all the murals on everything. It's fun to see the collections of different items he has and the painted steps. It's fun to take pictures with family and friends. So instead of spending hundreds and hundreds of dollars to go to Disneyland, you can go to Randyland for 0. I purchased a Randyland shirt because I wanted to bring a piece of Randyland home with me.
