We found SR Painting because they painted our neighbor's big three story house. He was impressed with their hard work and attention to detail. We got several quotes from a variety of painters and and SR was right in line with the others, so we decided to use them. They arrived both days on time, taped walls and floors and put down heavy paper to protect the spots they were not painting, and then got to work. Jose and Rafael were efficient and careful and kept us updated on the progress. They were also able to match new paint to our old paint colors. Isabel was the one who came out to give us the quote and she also does all scheduling. She was easy to deal with and also kept us in the loop for any changes in the schedule. We went with this company because the bid was lower than the other company we got a quote from. Pros: good communication, friendly, started job quickly, showed up as promised. Cons: don't believe they did two coats of paint as requested (husband wasn't here to check)-it scratches super easily. The other thing is they dropped some paint in various areas (wasn't a big deal because we were replacing the carpet and they knew that), including splotching some of the door handles and not catching their own mistakes. Last of all, we have been able to see some streaks from the roller they used in a couple of areas. Our house definitely looks better than before, and I want to rate them higher because they are nice, hard working people, but I'm rating them average because of these things. read more

We would absolutely not recommend this company. Despite performing no work, Isabel/SR Painting is refusing to give us our $1,000 deposit back. We had to pause our proposed project due to circumstances with our remodel contractor that were outside our control, and when we asked Isabel for a refund of merely 50% of the deposit as a gesture of good faith as no work had been completed or would be for some time, she flat out refused. She claimed that coming to our house to provide a quote was $1,00 worth of 'work.' Very unethical behavior, especially when we thought we were being more than reasonable by only asking for half back and letting her keep the other half since it wasn't her fault we couldn't start the project this year.
