History

Established in 2022.

Growing up in a rough and violent neighborhood fishing was an escape and offered hope. My firearms training began while serving as an Infantry soldier in the U.S. Army. There I began firearms training and completed armorer school among many others. I worked on various firearms from a variety of origins and this led me to explore avenues of not just repair but customization, design, fabrication, and ballistics. After I was medically retired in 2014 I continued to expand my knowledge and learn new skills to provide a wider range of services to my clients and to further improve my ability to fabricate the firearms I have always wanted to see made. Growing up where I did, meant there were not many choices, options, or opportunities. Now I find myself in a position where I am able to provide some opportunities to those who may not otherwise have access to them. And so a portion of the proceeds from every purchase at SRiOutdoors is set aside and funds FREE outdoor events for area youth.

Meet the Business Owner: Scott S.

I am a proud father of six wonderful children. Husband to one amazing woman. and a U.S. Army Infantry Veteran. I was medically retired in 2014 due to wounds received in Afghanistan in 2012. for several years my focus was healing and learning to to care for myself again. As soon as I was able to I went back to school to further my firearms education and eventually earned my Associates Degree in Firearms Technology. Since then I have continued my firearms training a passion I pray I am always able to pursue. Remembering my humble roots I founded SRiOUtdoors on the premise of giving back. And so a percentage of all proceeds is set aside to fund FREE events for youth that may not otherwise have access to such opportunities. To date, we have hosted back to school bashes, trunk or treats, and given away free school supplies and in the future we plan to host fishing derbies, fun shoots, hikes, fishing tournaments and more!
