That's exactly what dealing with this company felt like. The owner quoted me $1,300 to repair my A/C. Then came the first "oh, by the way..." There was another problem, and now it would cost another $1,000. After a lot of pushback, the price came down to $1,600. His solution? "We can split the payment--$800 now and $800 when I come back with the part." Here's the thing: I repeatedly told him that if the repair was going to cost that much, I was perfectly happy to spend $800 on a portable A/C unit instead. That wasn't an option anymore because my system was already apart and I was over a barrel. The repair then had to be rescheduled because the part didn't arrive. When he finally finished the job and was literally getting ready to leave, I got another Columbo moment: "Oh, by the way... I had to replace your capacitor. That's another $150." After I pushed back, we agreed to split that charge, so I paid an additional $75. So the original $1,300 repair became $1,600, and the final bill became $1,750 ($800 up front and $950 at completion). One final surprise: they also charge a 4% credit card processing fee, but that was never disclosed. I found it after had already paid and was reading the bill to figure out why the final charge was $950 and not $875. I understand that unexpected problems can be found during a repair. What I don't appreciate is repeatedly being presented with additional charges only after the work is underway or already completed. If there are going to be additional costs, customers deserve to know about them before the work is not reversible or proceeds so they can make an informed decision. I will NOT be using this company again and I do NOT recommend them.

After their visit, I noticed new issues that weren't there before -- almost as if things were intentionally damaged to justify more charges. When I asked for explanations, they became defensive and tried to upsell even more unnecessary work. I ended up getting a second opinion from another licensed HVAC technician who confirmed several of the "problems" they mentioned weren't real. Save yourself the frustration -- do your research and get multiple quotes before agreeing to anything with this company.

I wanted to get my garage ceiling insulated and the rest of the attic to R38. I requested quotes from other vendors and read reviews on each of the vendors whom quoted. I choose TLS because the tech quoting the job and the customer service person assigned to us, where friendly, knowledgeable, and great with any follow up questions. Scheduling was very easy, 1-2 weeks out, and when they had an earlier opening they called and texted to check if I wanted to stay with the original date or was interested in moving to the earlier date. Install team were great, 2 knowledgeable installers. They took before and after pictures and showed me where there were low points in my current insulation. They spent about almost 2 hours installing blown insulation and cleaning up afterwards. Proving pictures with the invoice and offered multiple paying options: Check, Venmo, and Credit Card. Absolutely no up-charge or fees when used the credit card option. I super pleased to have done my research which allowed me to select this company. What a great experience!

I said great, when is the next available appoint in the time frame. She said she couldn't schedule me for that time because it would be "working backwards." She could do 1pm-2pm and I said no, I'd like the 3pm-4pm time. She went on to say they have that time frame but really don't like to schedule it. I said ok, thanks anyway but I'll look for another company to help me. They might do good work but they can't even schedule at a convenient time for their customer. I wouldn't recommend them.
