However they destroyed my floor, walls and skirting. Despite giving them an opportunity to rectify a truly awful first attempt, the second 'finished' attempt includes a number of obvious discolorations. We hadn't even realised they had finished as they just upped tools and left, with no acknowledgement of/apology for the damage done to our walls and skirting. The owner is refusing to refund me so we're escalating to the ombudsman and I'll take him to court if I have to. Shocking experience.

Apart from the coving and plastering (neither of which were flawless), I could have done the job better myself. There was a severe lack of care and attention to detail and I was left with paint on my furniture, windows (only installed a month earlier), floors and carpet edges. The glossing left a lot to be desired (lack of proper preparation - if they did sand it beforehand then they must have waved the sandpaper over it. The outside was reasonable but any paint removed before the painting was not cleared up. In fairness, the owner of the company did come back and clear some of the "snagging list" and replaced the duvet (be it the wrong colour and size) and damaged curtain rails however, I am still left with part of the skirting in one room unfinished, paint on windows, floors and carpet edges a large blue stain on my cushion flooring (it wasn't there when they came but as they don't know what it is, it appears to be my responsibility)!. As I am not getting responses to my text messages, I can only assume they are not going to finish the snagging list. There excuse for the paint on the floors etc., the rooms were full of furniture.....aren't most rooms when you decorate and shouldn't they as professionals (30+ years in the trade) be able to accommodate this? Would I use them again...NO.
