We love Ssam! The name derives from a Korean dish: you wrap BBQ into lettuce leaves essentially. What makes SSAM stand out to me is how cosy and homey it feels. The staff is so welcoming and congenial, and the place is completely unpretentious. The Japchae I had was very filling, but maybe I would have preferred it with chicken? - if I remember well, we get to choose. The ssam is their main dish. They install the grill in front of you, fill it up, and your waiter takes care of the rest, so you get a show and a meal! I'll admit it can get awkward and silent, if I could change one thing about it, it would be the amount of meat that it includes, I can't help it, I want more!. Still, I have always loved going there, I can't bring myself to take a star away because of that..

Cozy place with good atmosphere, the meat here is tasty than other BBQ place and It do feel authentic . The drink is awesome too. It is good place to go. Should not be missed.

Korean fried chicken but almost eaten.

Nice restaurant with small but well designed menu which gives you many choices. We ordered Korean fried chicken, bugolgi, and jaigae (kimchi soup in case I can not spell). Everything was very good. The service was very good and friendly. They brought us things we didn't order because we showed an interest. This is another good Montreal restaurant in a city of good restaurants.

Beef bibimbap was delicious. Recommend that you order it served in the hot stone plate to crisp up the rice.

I don't have a gluten allergy, but my travel companion does, and we ended up coming here every morning during our stay in Montréal. The croissants are incredibly buttery (made with margarine, so they're dairy-free too), light, and perfectly flaky. We also tried a few other pastries like the chocolatine and danishes, which were just as delicious. They sell their pastries frozen as well, and I bought half a dozen croissants to bring back home. The family who runs Parc sans Gluten was warm and welcoming each time we visited. This place is a true gem and whether you're gluten-free or not, it's worth a stop.

Last time i went i was a little disappointed but figured maybe it had been a busy day or something. It did not disappoint, as i pulled into the parking there was a lady eating a baguette right out of the bag so i asked if it was good, delicious she said and she did not lie. The baguettes were hot, fresh out of the oven and soooo delicious! I also bought a Mille feuilles that was very good!!! The pastry counter was full of gorgeous pastry selections, the freezers were also full of breads, cakes, muffins ect everything a celiac would dream of. Bonus...Susie was giving away a sample box with purchases over $40 Lucky Foods spring roll product review: I'm gonna take the opportunity to make a product review that i got there as i hate to spend good money on something so disappointing. I saw the spring rolls, haven't had one in decades so I figured why not. The box says new look which usually means improved so i cannot even begin to imagine what the previous looked like. I baked them in the oven exactly as instructed and when i open the door half way through to flip them they were split open and falling apart. I have rarely been so disappointed in a product before. At $9 for 4 rolls I expected something decent and these were not, far from it. Save your hard earned money they are definitely not worth it.

For a gluten free bakery, this place isn't tha bad!…read more While visiting Montreal, we visited many local cafes which served glutinous pastries. My 8 year old sister, who suffers from celiac disease felt very left out whenever we visited one of these shops and we all felt bad. Even my dad, who normally follows a gluten free diet, broke his fast just so he could try some crepes. Desperate to let her try some pastries, we found Cookie Stéfanie, which was just minutes away by foot from the Westin Hotel we were staying at. She was so excited when we found it! When we entered, we were greeted my the warm aromas of fresh cakes, bars, and cookies. She chose what she wanted quickly after looking at the case full of gluten free desserts. She went to the convenient counter to order her dessert. It was given to her quickly, fresh and warm. We took a seat in the cozily decorated back (pictured) and watched her devour the carrot cake she had ordered. She loved the frosting! I tried the cake and thought it was delicious for a gluten free baked good. The next day, we had walked to McGill university and were dying for something sweet. Again, we stubbled upon Cookie Stéfanie. I had some fresh fruit and a sparkling lavender lemonade. My dad got a blueberry bar, my mom got a latte, my older sister got a chocolate cupcake, and my little sister got a caramel cake. They all said it hit the spot after our long excursion. Yum! The decorations were also really cute and fit the theme well. I included a picture of it in my review, too! In summary, Cookie Stéfanie is a cute little cafe that serves excellent gluten free desserts, as well as drinks and food, too! I recommend if you are struggling to find a good cafe that serves gluten free! Thanks for reading! Follow for more reviews!

Umm yes. Ok she says I'll make it again, I'll watch it this time. She disappears. Another 10 minutes goes by, another girl comes out and scrapes a piece of charcoal off the panini press and proceeds to give it to me. It was burnt and inedible. I ended up leaving without it. The food was absolutely spectacular (the bread better than any other in Montreal or Paris), the owners so charming, and the atmosphere adorable. I was literally in love with the whole experience. Both came with a little juice smoothie and we got a latte that was $1 off with the breakfast order. We ended this beautiful experience with the tiramisu (DIVINE). The baker/chef is a GF expert from Lima and the other owner I believe is local with a child with celiac. Everything was beyond delicious and safe and theyre so friendly!
