I started going to another one down the street for the last few years. Today someone convinced me to come here again, they raved about it. So I got in the online que at 12:15 as 5th in line, by 1:30 they told me I was 2nd in line and should check in. They finally walked me back into a room at 2:10pm and here it is over an hour later and I'm still sitting here waiting. I likely need to be tested and that's going to be another 30 min to 1 hour to go AFTER they finally come back. If you're on this long of a wait, communicate! I will never be back here.

It's always a bit unnerving being at these places when they're packed with contagious people. This was not my case. I was warmly greeted by the front desk, once in the room Natasha took my vitals and she was sweet as pie. Lauren was my nurse and she was phenomenal as well. Both really listened to what I had to say, never rushed me and understood and knew exactly what I needed. My experience here was top notch. Although I hope I never have to return, if I do, I will definitely come back to this location.

When I simply asked for the address to confirm I had the right location, I was threatened with the police. I left that call in tears, feeling humiliated, dismissed, and unsafe. I believe I was denied care because of my disability and a pending malpractice case against Mercy. The interaction triggered my depression, anxiety, and PTSD so badly that I had to seek emergency behavioral health treatment. No patient should ever be treated like this when reaching out for care.

Having…read morenever been to an urgent care, I can't really compare my experience to anything but I've also heard of co-worker's and friend's experiences in an urgent care situation that sounded way better than my experience here. Being fairly sick and not wanting to drive to Clayton/Richmond Heights area to see my primary care physician, I decided to drive myself to this facility which is only 1.6 miles from home. I came in and was immediately greeted by the woman at the front desk who then asked me what I needed. I told her I've had this cough for a while and I started having a fever 2 nights in a row and wanted to see someone about it. She asked me for my insurance card and an ID then called someone from the back to take my information. From the sound of it, the other woman who was in the back when I came in was training and needed some practice. When you come in, they have a sign that asks you wear a mask if you have a cough. They have a box full of it sitting on the check-in desk so I took one and put it on while I waited for them to check me in. Granted, the woman was still training, it still took a good half an hour to put in all my information and honestly, I didn't like how she asked me some confidential information openly instead of just handing me the paperwork or their ipad to answer these questions. She did hand me the ipad to do 1 medical history page but she openly asked other confidential information. There was no one else in the waiting room for most of my check-in time, however, I still don't think they should ask you some medical history questions openly like they did with me. In fact, one guy came in while I was telling her about my "surgery" which was kind of uncomfortable since I had to tell her what it was instead of just writing it down or typing it into the ipad while another person (who isn't an office personnel or related to me) was within a good hearing distance. Finally, I was made to wait in the exam room. Not a minute later, someone came in to take my vitals. She asked about the medications listed to confirm they were correct and the left the room. About 10 minutes later, she opened the door and asked me loudly if I was currently on a certain medication and left once more. I waited about 45 minutes from the time they took my vitals to when the doctor walked in to the exam room. He asked some questions, did his checks and left... Came back not 3 minutes later to give me some printouts of the services rendered along with the list of prescription. They had called it in to the pharmacy already which was nice. Overall, if I had to go to urgent care again I am more inclined to driving to Kirkwood instead and trying my luck over there. There was virtually zero wait to be placed into a exam room with a nurse who quickly read my vitals. Within 5 minutes a Nurse Practitioner came to speak with me and ran a quick flu test with a swab. 20 minutes later she returned and stated the test came back negative and I just needed to go home, rest and drink plenty of fluids. I expressed extraordinary discomfort and asked for something for the congestion and she stated I should just continue to take OTC medication and come back if my condition worsened. Suspicious, I called my GP office the following morning for a Monday appointment. Upon seeing my GP, she in fact confirmed I had a severe case of the flu (most likely for over a week), due to being untreated had progressed to a severe case of bronchitis and potentially could be pneumonia! She immediately prescribed a series of strong medications and brought me back two days after to ensure I didn't need to be admitted to hospital. When asking her opinion on why St Luke's Urgent care wouldn't prescribe any medication, she said it wasn't the first case of misdiagnosis she had seen from this location (just down the road). Furthermore, she stated the nurse practitioners at this location are clearly encouraged not to prescribe medication to either encourage repeat visits to increase billings, or they are afraid of the liability of issuing prescriptions. She also stated she encouraged her patients to stay clear of this location due to the repeated misdiagnosed patients seen who had visited the Ladue Crossing St. Luke's previously! While the wait time and customer service were excellent, the misdiagnosis combined with lack of any real doctors on staff makes this St Luke's Urgent Care nothing more than a cash collecting scam. My insurance was billed nearly $700 for a visit that yielded nothing more than placing my health at risk. I highly encourage any visitor to call ahead to ensure a REAL doctor is on staff prior to visiting.

After reading other reviews about long wait times, I decided to show up as early as possible in an attempt to beat the crowds. I arrived right at 8 AM when they opened on a Thursday morning, and I was the first guest of the day. I checked in at the front counter, handed over my paperwork, and they texted me some virtual forms to complete on my phone. About 30 minutes later, they were ready to see me. By the time I walked back to the exam rooms, I think there were two guests waiting behind me. The medical assistant who took my vitals was extremely friendly and personable. Her genuinity and kindness made my day! Besides taking a personal phone call with her son in the middle of my physical, the doctor I saw was also nice. Overall, the staff isn't necessarily the most professional, but everyone I interacted with was respectful and accommodating. By the time I left, the waiting room was completely packed and the parking lot was full. So my biggest recommendation if you're needing a physical here? Arrive as early as possible!
