After more than 2 years Dr Dariush Hoshyar has just given me an amazing piece of free after care for my implant. Not many dentists would provide after care at all after such a long time. I highly recommend this clinic. read more

My check up lead to a wisdom tooth removed, both of which was carried out by Dr. Indy Rai BDS. The procedure was painless, extremely quick and not in the least bit traumatic. He talked me through in great detail the specifics of the procedure and even gave me his card in case I wanted to talk through anything or any concerns out of hours. Although not the cheapest dentist - (maybe by £10-£20 her or there), but I would HIGHLY recommend this Practice. You only have one set of (adult) teeth, and you really do need to look after them, so would always suggest you put them in the hands of professionals. Having had braces for years, the way they understood my teeth having no prior knowledge of them indicated to me that they do indeed know their stuff. I also highly appreciated how they didn't try and sell me any treatments that I don't need, however the information was there if I wanted to ask for it.

Previous to finding you, I had been to 10 other clinics to try and find someone I felt comfortable with, as I have always had a fear of dentists due to traumatic experiences when I was younger. I was almost going to give up looking for a dentist, as I found none of them friendly, they just give you the sales pitch and then do not even care about making you feel relaxed or welcome. Most are pretty scary. The moment I walked into the Ealing practice, I felt very calm, the reception staff were very helpful and friendly. Everyone was smiling and instantly made me feel at ease. When I first went to meet Nick Simon, he was such a lovely guy, his smile lit up the room, and his assistant Kasia was also lovely and so friendly. I also met Veenna at my last appointment, who was replacing Kasia whilst she was away and she was such a nice person too. Even the lady I spoke to who dealt with the financial side of things was a pleasure to speak to. I cannot remember her name, but please do pass on this message to her as well as others working at Ealing Dental Practice. Who ever was involved with employing all of the staff did a great job, as there really is not other dental practice like this. To top things off, I even got a glittery pink brace, which I thought would be pushing it too far when I requested pink. It's as though nothing is too much trouble for people at the clinic, and everyone will go out of their way to help out or make you feel good. I am looking forward to my next appointment on 23rd Jan, and I am really pleased with the results of my teeth so far. I will definitely be recommending you to friends, family and people in the industry I work in. The prices are well worth it, especially after being treated so well each time. I cannot thank you enough. Aaliyah Johnson

But the time came and we had the insurance so off we went. I was holding off on writing this review until I had some real work done by Dr. Dickson. So yesterday I went on line to his handy dandy appointment website and booked myself in to have a cracked filling replaced. I think he is the best dentist I have ever had. My cleaning was actually pleasurable. No blood. My filling replacement well, it was dental work so I can't say it was pleasurable. What I can say is that apart from the Novocaine shot I didn't feel any pain. Even now that the numbness has worn off I feel totally fine. My filling feels very natural and like the old one when I bite on it. You know how sometimes you can just tell that someone is good at what they do? I get that feeling here. I think he is not only good at being a dentist but he really likes it and wants to make you as comfortable as possible. I also like that he really explains what is going on so you know what treatment you need, what treatments can wait and what is really important. Plus I can say that he is the first dentist ever to not mention my tongue piercing. Usually I get a lecture. Nope, nothing. Thanks again Dr. Dickson!!

The reason being that after a life time of different dentists I finally found one that I really trust. They are professional and friendly and will advice on the available courses of treatment but not force you down any particular route. I don't think that any reviewer should call a dentist a 'clown' and I only hope that you are not swayed by the opinions of someone like this if you are looking for a good dental practice to care for your families' teeth. I would highly recommend this practice and hope you have no hesitation in being treated at St Mary's.

Initially, slightly shy about letting a stranger look into my mouth (I am told) my parents would bring me here while Dr Smith a very amiable and calm dentist would count my teeth, give me a sticker and off I went home. I doubt this is common practice but it worked for me and since I have never had a problem with going to the dentist. The hospital deals in paediatric, orthodontic and specialist dentistry. My letter was followed by an automated voice message to my phone a few days before - reminding me of my appointment and asking me to confirm that I would be there. On the day the waiting time was minimal, the staff friendly and really put me at ease. I had an Xray (you have to remove all jewellery around the area - earrings, necklace etc, however I have a lip ring that I have never removed and they just worked around it). They provided an easy to understand analysis of my wisdom tooth situation, and the procedure I would need to go through, and said I would probably need another, 3d, xray scan to know how the tooth sits, before the surgery. A few days later I received my letter asking me to book my 3d scan appointment, which I did, and I arrived on the day and went straight in for the scan. Again, I could not remove my lip ring, and neither could the scanning staff, so they worked around it and it was fine. I am currently waiting for my letter to book the surgery itself. My rating will perhaps change after that! Pros: Friendly, helpful staff, efficient appointments (minimal wait!) Cons: Having to wait for letters to be able to schedule appointments - it creates a delay and a phone or an online system would be much easier! Scanning staff not being able to help me remove my lip ring haha.
