The service was a Celebration of Life for the passing of a dear friend's husband. The church had adequate room for the many attendees and luncheon afterwards. It was a beautiful service with a reunion of family and friends. read more

My husband and I moved to concord a few months ago, and went to several neighboring churches to find our new home parish. Saint Agnes was the most warm and welcoming little parish. The priest's homilies are always captivating and kept us engaged, and the liturgy is wonderfully done. After touring all the local Catholic Churches, we decided to register as parishioners here, and have felt spiritually fed and nurtured at each Mass. I found a catholic church in Concord. A church to go to after getting off from work on a Saturday. This church is unique. I would not expect a hall inside the church. Parking is convenient. Mass here at 5 Saturday was good. read more

My review can only be for their chapel, as I still have yet to attend mass at this parish. The chapel has beautiful stained glass lining the walls with Jesus as its center piece! Plenty of seating as well. I come here whenever I'm in the area to go to adoration since they happen to have perpetual adoration! Good to know, not many churches have that. There is surveillance in and around the church, so need not worry if there happens to be any funny business! Hopefully I can attend one of the masses some time in the future! read more

We moved to Concord only 3 years ago and how convenient that this church is right around the corner. We were welcomed with open arms. The Knights of Columbus opened the doors to us before mass and there was a nice welcoming before mass started. All visitors are asked to stand to be recognized and welcomed. From there we are asked to stand and greet others good morning. What a great way to start the week! I have seen the same people at the mass we attend. There is always a gentle smile or nod recognizing each other as if to say, "Hey! Welcome back...Happy Sunday!" My family became parishoners soon enough. Our daughter received her 1st communion here and now is altar serving. Above all else...the Homily is actually worth listening too! I've been a Catholic all my life and I was just used to hearing the priests asking for money or donations to the church. That was my cue to zone out. But at this church...it's worth a listen. Father Johnson and Deacon Bill...always prepared with a beautiful reflection of the 1st and 2nd readings and the Gospel. I've been looking for a church like this...one to aspire me to be a better Catholic and to continue to teach my kids the love of God. Thank you St. Agnes Parish...you have renewed and reignited my faith! read more

St. Agnes parishioners are very generous....whenever there is a special collection for food, clothing, towels, etc., they always come forward. Fr. Johnson is very supportive of the projects that parishioners want to do. He allows us to do the work that we feel does need to be done. The parish as a whole could reach out more to help others in the community, especially in terms of problems in our city, such as the lack of affordable housing and homelessness. Sometimes the parish is timid when it comes to speaking out for social justice issues politically...in other words, food is donated, but letters are not written. I just would like to see broader particiption in these matters. read more

Our family moved to this parish in 1982 and our 4 children received sacraments here and attended St. Agnes school. I am so grateful to be part of this parish. I am always greeted by friendly people when I enter the church for mass, and the parishoners that attend are very nice. A lot of the parishoners have formed committees and put a lot of their time and energy into making the parish a better place. I was encouraged to join groups and I have loved being part of the Schola Choir and the Communications Committee. Yes, I am biased, I have been attending Mass here since we moved to Concord in 1987. Most of us are cradle Catholics, (but don't hold that against us) and my journey has been a long one. When I look at my life's event in perspective I've come to realize that this is now my home. As all families, we have our ups and downs, but you never give up on family.... I've been coming here since moving to the area 3.5 years ago. I was first drawn to the church by the Adoration chapel - it is beautiful and open from 6am to 9pm, so I can stop in before or after work. Fr. Johnson is so kind, and he gives beautiful and thoughtful homilies as well as being a great confessor. So happy to have found this place when I moved! read more

Decided to go to this church today just to check it out and wow! Horrible!!!!! The priest is extremely rude!!! I went over to introduce myself and talk to him before confessions, reached out my hand and introduced myself he just looked at me didn't say a thing didn't shake my hand. I asked if I could speak with him sometime this week or next when ever he is free and he flat out said no, I'm busy goodbye and just continued to read what he had in his hand like wtf???? He was so rude and cold to me and the people weren't inviting or nice either. So fuck that I'm good I'll rather continue going with the priest my family has been with for years at least he treats people with kindness and respect. read more
