They are linked to the thriving St Thomas church and the vicar is in the school daily, doing assemblies, harvest etc. The school meets the healthy schools standard so the meals are healthy and well prepared. Uniform is a little bland (I like blazers but then I'm old fashioned!) but the children are a credit to the school. Good ofsted reports.

The results really depends on each students but the grades so far has been excellent. Especially since its a new school, most of the facilities and equipments and brand new. They have a playground for nursery and reception, one for key satge 1 and another one for key stage 2. At the end of the playgrounds are 3 football pitches. This school also has tyres for students to play on, near the grass area. It also has a girls changing rom and a boys changing room for the pe lessons. All the teachers their are very kind and good. The opurtunities they give to the students to develope their skills are amazing. Sudents can take on roles of buddies, school council members, receptionists during lunchtime and help sell things during break.

During my time there, I literally studied till I dropped! By word of mouth, I heard that I was attending one of the top Schools in Liverpool, so I had to brace myself for the amount of home work and extra activities I was involved in. This did put me under a lot of pressure as stress levels were inevitibly high during those years. However, if it had not been for St. Eddie's (as some call it), I would probably not have achieved my full potential. The School is located in quite a peaceful surrounding and when you enter the site, it has this classic School look about it with long corridors, a huge playing field and even a swimming pool (which was a bonus). The 6th Form building is pleasantly decorated in a building of heritage that the School has preserved. Its interior walls are painted in lovely pink too! Each classroom in the Upper School fits an average of 20 pupils and they have a wide range of facilites to benefit from, throughout the institution. There are also a couple of common rooms where you can eat and chat to friends in a controlled environment. If you are a parent and have a child or you are of the post-16 criteria, look no further than St. Edward's College.

The staff are very patient and experienced, and the key worker system works really well. The nursery has recently undergone a thorough makeover and looks and feels fresh, clean and new. There is a great selection of toys. games and learning experiences for the children of all ages. The food is of a good standard too. This prepares any child for a positive experience in school.

There one of the best primary schools in St Helens and the staff deserve to be proud of that because as a team they all work exceptionally hard to maintain that high standard of education. Plenty of open space for the children to excersise and run around outside and it's safe. Headmaster and staff are all very good teachers with lots of time for the children and parents.

Some parents in cars can be very selfish parkers too.. but that's another review ;-) ! keep it up Our lady's.. shame about diocese fees each year.. if you have more than 1 child it can get expensive in catholic schools, especially at xmas time when they ask for it. The clubs available are rather unlike most schools in the area which offer football/netball, Waterloo offer ballet classes for years one and two, rugby, fencing and basketball. There is excellent pastoral support, which again is well reputed and the school is very active in the community. I don't believe it's one of the "big name" schools of the area, i.e. high profile, but I'm not sure why, it sounds fantastic.

I know 4 children who attend at the minute and 2 that have left…read more The teachers are just fab, one of my god daughters has learning problems and they are more that great at accomodating her needs. they have a zero tolorence attitude to bullying and is a great place for children to grow into happy teenagers. The building itself is beautiful as is the playground it has a pencil fence which is very cute for the kiddies.They also have a nursery attached to the school so its easier to feed children from there.
