Things we love about it: - multi-generational, from the older ladies w/ casseroles to the families to the single women we are all here - a commitment to living out Gods love and mercy, from marching in the Gay pride parade to writing letters to the editor regarding bigoted statements about our Moslem neighbors to serving neighbors in need with an emergency fund. - acting out Gods abundant love for each other, evidenced by the church's acceptance of my wiggly sometimes naughty children. They accept and love on us regardless. -the gorgeous chapel, known as 'the Stone Church in town, doesn't hurt either. Come join us.

Genesis teaches ancient wisdom and new thoughts about it. It doesn't matter if you come from a Christian, Buddhist, Muslim, Jewish or atheist background. It doesn't matter if you're gay straight or somewhere in between. It doesn't matter if you are white or a person of color. We are all God in Form, and by changing your thinking you can change your life. Genesis teaches the spiritual tools to do that. It's more than a church: this is a home for living a spiritual - not religious - life.

It was such a meaningful part of the process--she used our responses as the foundation for the story she told during our ceremony, which made it feel deeply personal and true to us. The package we selected also gave us space to share our story, talk through ceremony details, and express what we did and didn't want included. Cherise truly made us feel heard and valued.
