Most of the teachers they had were exemplary and caring. Because it is such a large School District, there are so many learning and extra curricular opportunities. They would complain to me about the students who expected good grades for doing nothing. It was frustrating for them to see students like that. Growing up, my children were told that you have to work hard if you are going to get ahead. After all, you get out what you put in. I feel fortunate that my children received such an excellent education at Longwood.

Which I was afraid of, Trig is extremely difficult. When you first go to meet with the person in charge, prepare to wait an hour. So unnecessary! He gives you this entire speech about guaranteeing you an 85 average in the last 2 months of the school year. Not possible when you're starting with a 52 average grade. But I had to try and my son felt comfortable there. His final grade was 72, he needed a 75. It is very affordable and they work with your schedule. Hated the traffic in that area. Better to go after 6pm.

All of the teachers, therapists, assistants and aids are there to help your child and family succeed. They have amazing communication and are willing to work with you as the parent (or guardian). Even though I'm not in that field anymore due to the physical nature of it, I felt that it was a very pleasant, inclusive class. Where my opinion of Suffolk sours dramatically is when I took an Electrical Assembly with an instructor David E. I am really new to soldering and I expected more professionalism. Instead, he complained that we students are giving him a headache. One time, I was taking a pen out and he came over and asked what I'm taking out of my bag. It was a pen. It was just very inappropriate. He would just make passive aggressive comments and it was very hard to work with him. I've never soldered before so of course I'm going to make mistakes. I need constructive feedback not sarcasm. Terrible instructor.
