We were looking for a Christian contemporary service such as our old one In Pennsylvania. We found Pastor Courtney to be a lovable, biblical friendly speaker of the Word. It truly is a church of messy people inviting other messy people to enjoy the love of Jesus. It was explained to us that the church is redefining itself and is not bound by old traditions. We sing and praise with songs (hymns too) in both English and Spanish for the blended congregation who can choose from 8,10, or 12 AM Sunday services. We are one the cusp of offering adult classes in addition to the worship services. Child care is available at the services. And did I forget the coffee? Coffee is available as you come in. Really enjoyed the musicians. Come and dress as you wish. Shorts, jeans dress or fancy dress, anything is fine. People were friendly, and had several conversations but I started many of them. The associate pastor and his family sat in front of me and they were welcoming and very genuine. I didn't get the impression that they were artificial or putting on a show. I highly recommend this church family for all age groups. They have two sermons, great nursery, we went to the second service and there was a mixture of ages from late 20s-early 30 to but mostly silver age. I love their ministry and was excited to participate in future events. They genuinely care about the community. Rare.

There were people who were available to answer any questions and help you get acquainted with the church. The service opens with a greeting from the head pastor, Michael Youssef. The first thing that he says is a welcome to all the new comers. What an awesome way to start a service! As for the praise, the band is pretty awesome. Its not your typical band, but they have saxophones, trumpets, violins and no shortage of vocalists. By they way, the two lead vocalists, their voices blend very well. For the worship time as a whole, the one word that comes to mind is 'organized'! I have never seen such a well structured service. There were no awkward silences, confusion of whats next or a sense of "I dont know what to do because I'm new." The message was part of a series. From what I heard, Pastor Michael usually does series, but not to worry, if you show up in the middle of a series, they have the rest of them available online. The message I heard was about the gift of evangelism. Even though it was a topical sermon, he was able to go back to the gospel. He's definitely a great speaker. Side note: This is kind of random, but he sounds like a mix of Robin Williams, Christopher Walken and Sean Connery! LISTEN FOR IT!!!
