Everyone we've met there has been super nice, and even after going through a 'new member' class, there hasn't been any pressure to join or donate. After avoiding organized religion for years, this is refreshing. In addition to Sunday services, we've attended a couple other events and seminars, both at the church building and at other sites. The warm and friendly vibe has continued. From everything we've seen, it's a nice place because it's filled with nice, real people. Everyone doesn't agree with everyone, and that's okay. Maybe if there were more open-minded and caring speakers like Reverend Alex in pulpits in other churches, there would be more people in the seats at those churches on Sunday mornings.

Sharadamba is the main goddess in the Centre, Chandramouleeswara with Nandhi on her left and Shankaracharya on the right. Other dieties include Ganapathy, Shiva, Murugar with Valli and Devasena, Ram Parivar, Hanuman, Dakshina Moorthy, Durga, Krishnar and Navagraham. Beautiful idols that evokes devotion in you. This is my first visit and I loved the intricate work inside and outside the temple. I am someone who cannot sit idle for few minutes, but this place made me sit and meditate. Loved the positive and intense vibe. Satya Narayana pooja is performed every month on Poornima day. They do not to accept commercial store purchased milk from the devotees. A Goshala (Cow sanctuary) has been established in Stroudsburg, PA that supply Milk and Milk products exclusively to the temple for Abhishekam and other religious use. They do encourage devotees to donate Flowers and Fruits. Due to covid no prasadam was served. They have a strict dress code. They teach Vedas for kids during weekends and conduct beginner level Sanskrit classes for kids and adults. Good parking space. We had peaceful darshan without rush. My experience with them as a supporter/sender was that they were attentive, responsive, concerned and effective at communication. My perspective as a missionary overseas was overall excellent. I appreciated the field-based approach, and I appreciated that I was known and prayed for by the home (US) office and international office. Someone once told me that choosing a missions organization to work with was the second biggest decision I would make (the other was who to marry). I think it's a good correlation. I worked with SEND, not expecting them to be perfect, but neither was I. I enjoyed my many years with SEND, and I definitely recommend this organization to partner with for cross-cultural ministry.
