They have something for every biker, no matter what skill level you are. This event is definitely family friendly. In the beginning years, I would ride the longer 50+ mile routes. Now, they have shortened the options down to 16, 25 or 32 miles that day. With multiple routes to choose from you can't go wrong! It's a beautiful experience to view the city and see how all the paths connect. Minneapolis/St. Paul have hundreds of miles of paved paths, so this ride can show you how to navigate them, rather than be intimidated. There is great signage to know which ways to turn to stay on course. The helpful rest stops supply delicious food and often music/entertainment along the way. The best part is the finish line! Here, you can get your free beer, visit the vender village and listen to a live band as you sit with fellow cyclists feeling proud of yourself!

From the shop (look for signs-it's in a garage like building in the alley by Candyland), you can use the bike paths/trails around the area. We rented for 2 hours so the St. Croix River Loop Crossing was easily done in 1 hour and a trek up the Browns Creek Trail too. I only regret not renting for the 4 hour slot so we could electric assist up the hill to Chilcoot Cafe and the Gateway Trail. Mike, our ebike guru set each bike up to us individually, explaining how the bikes work. The bike that I used was a beach cruiser type-easy/comfortable ride and roomy seat! I know some people will balk at the $43/2 hour rental fee but the views of this area are worth it! If you've ever wanted to try an electric bike-come and check them out! One more thing, one of us accidentally booked online on the wrong day-they were super nice about switching it to the correct day. Thank you Big River LTD!

Another Woodbury bike shop had quoted me several weeks of wait time for a repair. As soon as I brought it into the shop, a friendly gentleman behind the counter asked me what I needed fixed. He immediately took my bike back to the repair area, fixed my gear in minutes, and didn't even charge me for service! I will be coming back here for all my future bike repairs!

I love seeing a smile and people that love their job and Ben clearly does. When I showed him my bike I had a broken brake, front brake issue, and I didn't know what to do? He simply bent down and begin to fix it for me as he told me it wasn't as big of an issue and he could probably fix it right there! He is a cashier it seemed but was willing to simply fix my problem without making me go through all of the red tape. He fixed it but noticed one of the pieces was bent. Then another gentleman by the name of Mike said from behind him that brake looks a little bent and he could fix it for only $20 if you want me to do it? I was so thrilled by the care and the concern that was given to me to see me get my bike fixed and back on the road! They said they would try to get to it today... And they did it within a few hours and called me and told me it was ready! I absolutely love the store and will be coming back to it regularly because of the great customer service and the people that love their jobs at this place! You've made a customer out of me!

Pedego electric bikes are definitely well built and solid. In fact the bicycle is better assembled…read morethan most competitors. The downside to me is price and weight. The bikes are (perhaps unsurprisingly) quite pricey and, though sturdy are also heavy and somewhat unwieldy. The store is relatively small with a limited selection. Specifically the store had no tricycles for me to peruse or test. The lack of an electric tricycle was problematic since I had traveled a fair distance to sample a Pedego trike. The store owner was affable, voluble and knowledgeable. He said that he would notify me as soon as he had an electric trike in stock. That was several weeks ago and unfortunately I never heard from him. To be fair the matter might have completely slipped his mind but it is still irritating. I would have liked to have an opportunity to evaluate a trike but apparently it wasn't to be. In any case I'm reconsidering my options. Who knows, I might contemplate a Pedego product in the future.

My husband booked a horse tour of the North Loop for our anniversary! What a great special date…read moreidea. Booking was extremely easy and so was navigating to the location. Parking is metered street parking, but only $1 per hour parking. The check in building seems brand new and has a nice bathroom in case you need to stop in before your ride. The employees were super kind and our driver was extremely hospitable and fun to chat with. They've had this business for over 30 years so they know the history of the area, which was fun to learn about. Definitely recommend booking with The Hitching Co!
