Was in there yesterday, I wanted to buy a tiny little vase…read more for my daughter's room . The sticker fell off as we scrolled the store . I went to the counter to purchase it. They told me I was not permitted to buy it because it was worth more than the sticker said, , but we don't care about the worth of this vase - if that's what they believed . We had no idea . We just wanted tiny vase . we were not permitted to do so . . They told me to come in the next day and talk to someone else . I had to go back again today to speak with someone in charge and they refuse to sell us a $ five snickered vase . They also had no idea it was worth more money . Sadly to say we were not permitted to get it. They should honor the snickered price where it fell to my feet .

I shoulda woulda coulda picked up a tiny little pitcher I saw with little feet and a spout - a reasonable $3. The downside is that it can be a squeeze getting through the different areas in the store if there are more than a handful of people inside. Volunteers / staff inside were very friendly and nice. All proceeds go to help animal rescue, so all for a good cause.

This stuff was not my taste and seemingly overpriced. I suppose that restoring something by hand does take time and skill but I would not pay north of $500 for a restored dresser or bookshelf. They also had some dinnerware and gifts that were equally funky but more more reasonably priced. This would be a great place to get an uncommon gift for a friend or to find your next conversation piece. Alcove supported me and my boys with love and kindness. We were separated into groups according to age of children and then parents are separate. At that time, Alcove primarily used art therapy as a way of helping children heal from their trauma. Art therapy accesses the same part of your brain used while dreaming.
