It was a pleasure seeing my former Pastor Morman and First Lady Loretta Morman although it was due to sad circumstances it was great to see some old faces (28 years ago) and they never looked more beautiful! One time, the pastor asked us to break up into groups to do an exercise. I stared straight ahead as not one person asked me to be in a group. They don't care. They are more concerned with your tithing, and as it's a mega church, it's hard to fit in. Not recommended unless you are a snob concerned about keeping up with the Joneses.

Lord knows God is sitting in Heaven with a green accounting hat making sure you paid your 10%. She even took classes at this church. A couple years back her mother passed away and she asked the church to allow her to do a service and the repast as they usually do for members. The church sent some pastor over on a Friday night. He told my wife they would have to determine if she was a member and that would take until Tuesday to figure out. (Even though I THINK the church is open on Sunday). Her family was flying in on Wednesday, so she was really pressed for time. She ended up doing the service and repast at her cousin's church. This church cashed my wife's checks for 20 plus years but when the time came that my wife needed the comfort of her home church these devils somehow couldn't figure out if she was a member. Lucky for that demon, I wasn't home at the time because I'd have told him off and maybe more. You're not going to find salvation at this church. They just want to make sure pastor Butler can put gas in his yacht and enjoy his mansions. They ain't helping anyone but themselves.

Last Sunday I came with my boyfriend and actually had the opportunity to hear a sermon. This church is definitely different from my home church, in that it is small and very close knit. I feel as if this is one of those churches were everyone knows who you are. So of course everyone kept looking my way to see who I was. Overall, I had a good time and walked away feeling like I learned something. I would definitely recommend if you are into a close-knit church, although the facility itself is actually very large.

Todd usually does the sermons, occasionally they have outside pastors (which can be great or ... ehhhh). There are two reasons I love this church. #1 - the people are really friendly. Everyone is. I have to be outgoing for my job so on my personal time I usually hide. But at this church the people are so nice, there is no hiding. #2 - there is lots of stuff to do, regardless of age/circumstance. I happen to have kids. There is stuff to do. I am a mom/woman. There is stuff to do. If I was a single guy...there would be stuff to do. And everyone is friendly so going to a new event isn't awkward. I love this church. I moved out for a little while because of a few reasons (including construction on Middlebelt) and I missed coming tremendously. My kids call it the church with puppets and donuts, I call it home.
