In addition, great traditional music, great people, and overall fantastic church. Today, my wife and kids all worship here. I highly recommend this church if you are looking for the above characteristics in a church and if you are really seeking to learn about the Bible. To Steven C- I think you should try to look at this from the church staff perspective. You could have been anyone. You could have been a deceased anyone. I personally would have knocked on your window, but I understand other approaches as well. Regardless, this has no bearing on the quality of the church and certainly does not warrant your 1 star review. All the best though Steven. Lovely iconic church established by Franciscan convential friars in 1882. The original church…read moreburned down in 1901 but the existing one you see today is the 1902 reconstruction. More information is available on the church website. Designed 60 years before Vatican II era, this beautiful house of worship is situated "ad orientum", so that the rising sun (typeology of Christ's resurrection) enters the rose window at the narthex and shines on the holy altar where His Sacrifice is re-presented. The interior is filled with architectural elements commensurate with orientating the human senses to the contemplation of God and the Holy Trinity. The marbled carved altar shows the last Supper in relief and the figures are exquisitely sculpted. There are many liturgies throughout the week, multiple Mass and confession times and the community parish is open, welcoming and thriving as testament to the pastoral excellence of the Franciscan friars in residence here. First off they would not us even speak with us until we sent a check for like 600 dollars. At least they could have spoken with us before we give them money. Then once we paid and we went in to speak with the priest the first thing receptionist said and looked for is if we paid them and we make weekly donations, if we didn't make donations every week they wouldn't let us get married 2. The priest was the biggest douchebag ever. This is my wedding day, greatest day of my life and he was an absolute dick and rude to me and my wife. During the ceremony he yelled at us for a few reasons, one was because we were laughing and enjoying the moment. Having babies in the crowd they would make noises and it made us laugh and look back at them which when we did he said to us "turn around and pay attention". Seriously dude stop molesting children and stop taking shit so seriously. Plus at the rehearsal dinner, he didn't know our names and called my wife by a wrong name, and we told him multiple times. 1000s of dollars and can't remember our names If you can deal with a church not caring about you and only care about money (which all churches only care about money), a an asshole priest then this is the place r for your wedding.

Never felt like a stranger here. They offer two rites of the sacred liturgy of the Mass here including the Ordinary Form (English) and the Extraordinary Form (Latin). Both are valid, efficacious, and edifying so it merely depends on personal preference. Parking is plentiful and the grounds are very well maintained. Of course when we are here we're visiting with family members so it's always a wonderful celebration of being together while offering sacrifice and praise to God for all He has given us.
