As usual, Kelly Lown, NP, took excellent care of my family due to a Covid event. Within about 10 minutes on video meeting she had us squared away. And she always does things with a sense of humor. St. E's is very lucky to have her. And so are we. read more

My Chart "SUCKS"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Every time I try to go onto the site to get lab results it needs to send a verification code. I fully understand the need for security. However the code NEVER EVER comes. I was at the library for 90 minutes last time and as I requested the code first thing once AGAIN it never showed. Sooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have to call the doctors office in Southgate and have them mail the labs results every time. They have enough to do without me adding to their workload. read more

My husband and I went to St. Elizabeth this morning for a routine wellness check. We both are guilty of just going to urgent cares so it was time we "adulted" and found a primary care doctor. We set up an appointment with Gandola. The facility is nice, clean and seems super new. Since our appointment was super early 8:30 and 8:45. We got our paperwork filled out and were seen as soon as we finished. We went in separately for consultations. Mine took a bit and I didn't actually get in until around 9:30 which was unexpected. Luckily I work from home so my schedule wasn't thrown out of whack - just know as always - things at the doctor can get pushed super far back. The plus side to this? Dr. Gandola was very thorough on getting to know us both. Since the only experience I had with doctors growing up was always very cold and sterile (hence why I am terrified of going to the doctors now) I was almost put off by how nice and charming Dr. Gandola was. He was asking me HOW I WAS?! And what I do for work. What I do for fun. In my head I was like ... "What, why, am I dying? Who cares what I do for fun, why does this matter. Take my blood, let me pass out, and let's get this nightmare over with." Turns out, not all doctors are terrifying. Today he took all of my vitals, did the routine check and ordered the standard tests for a physical - and turns out I AM SUPER HEALTHY! Wahooo! Which is also scary. How. How am I so blessed and so lucky? When others get taken from us so early in life? I've always questioned the reasoning behind who and what happens health-wise and why. So far, I've been lucky. And I am excited that I finally took the plunge to find a doctor I can go back to and that I can trust. This doc has also been in the biz for 40+ years. After we saw him, we went down to reception on the first floor to register for the lab. We were taken back to the lab area, got our blood taken for the tests, and were in and out of the lab in no joke - 10 minutes. We were utterly SHOCKED! Thank god we went right away and didn't wait to come back (that was an option). And just so everyone knows, the nurse was A++ this was the first time in 29 years of living I didn't pass out/have a crying, panic attack while giving blood. My husband also has a hard time and we both did great. One try, less than a minute with the needle in and we were done! The nurse was incredible. ANOTHER HUGE PLUS -- you can register for a profile online where you can share and see info with your doctor. You can see what your results are, what you need to work on, what you have coming up, and even see the doctor's BOOK! Finally you can book appts online. Huge win. Overall, I highly reccomend Dr. Gondola. He said we could usually get same day appts and register online. Hell yes for great availability and open communication. Who knew going to the doctor could be so easy? I'm floored. Go and see him! read more

Stay away from Dr Benjamin Costello! I had 1 visit with him and will not go back! He will 100% cause you stress and anxiety you don't need. If you make the mistake to go to him watch out on my chart for the summary notes he leaves. They will be nothing that you discussed at your visit yet judgemental of medications you are on and assumptions with no evidence to prove his opinion. I have asked him to remove the notes and he will not. He unfortunately is still my doctor until I find another and is refusing to refill medications I have had prescribed to me from previous doctor. He also took me off of a medication to help me sleep. . The problem with this is he never offered anything to replace it and its a controlled substance and your not supposed to stop the medications abruptly. I do not have enough now to ween myself off and its very dangerous to stop medications just like that. You will regret like I did going to him if you do. read more

Worse docs and hospital on the planet! One surgeon, Dr James Baker ruined my right hand ending my career of 46 years and Dr John Eldridge went in to repair a 6" ventral hernia and in the process tore my abdominal wall all the way down my left side and 3/4 the way across my lower abdomen. I've been off work and pretty much confined to bed for 4 months waiting for surgeries to repair what they did. They can't figure out how to fix it, I've called the corporate headquarters for St. Elizabeth Physicians and they won't call me back. Since I can't work I've had to max out my credit cards and take out loans for $3000. IF YOUR INSURANCE ALLOWS, DRIVE ACROSS THE RIVER!!! read more

My biggest reason for making me healthy. The Doctor office. They are great, professional and caring.

I really like this place. I have been to I don't even know how many doctor's offices and had to wait for what seems forever bored out of my mind, when I was sick and didn't feel like being there in the first place. Or even worse, I've had some doctors where I couldn't get an appointment when I was sick and really needed one. This place is the opposite. You can always get an appointment. I've even called on the same day really sick when they were really busy and booked, but they managed to squeeze me in anyways. Also, I've never had more than a 10 minute wait. They have 6 different doctors so someone is pretty much always available unless you're picky on who you want to see. I've seen 3 different doctors. 1.) Dr. Todd Philippe - no complaints. nice. 2.) Dr. Tim Keller - tries too hard to be funny, comes off as annoying and rude 3.) Dr. Brad Patterson - Very nice! My favorite. I'd recommend this place to anyone. I can only say that for this location though. I used to go to their location in Florence, and it was really hard to get an appointment. read more

Wow... Someone's having a bad day! The receptionist has gone from mumbling to herself to getting mouthy with patients because, as she's already stated a few times, "we're supposed to be at lunch." And, the physician that my wife is seeing for her physical has done nothing but complain about how extensive and inconvenient the paperwork she needs to have filled out is, even going so far as to ask her if she's going to some Third World country. Really?! Shut up and do what you are being well overpaid to do! Are we cutting into your Tee Time? We made this appointment and made it very clear how extensive it was. Your receptionist knew exactly what was involved and made the appointment in this time slot. If you are annoyed, take it up with her and quit your whining. Just freakin' sayin'... read more

The only thing I like about the place is the newness and cleanliness. The only thing that keeps me coming back is that 99% of the time you can get an appointment the same day (probably because they're losing patients because of their nasty attitudes). I don't like the receptionists. They seem bothered and snooty as if they're the first doctor you see when you come in the building. Dr. Keller is an asshole. He is annoying and he talks to you like you're stupid. I was in serious pain and in tears when I went to his office. He said that it was probably my gallbladder and he wanted me to get an x-ray in two days. I told him that I didn't think I could wait that long and asked if he could give me some medication. He denied me. That very night I went into the emergency room and had my gallbladder removed. I came in once and asked for birth control (I am a married woman with two children) and he said we don't like to do that here and hastily wrote me a prescription. A week later I started feeling really sick and contacted my Neurologist (I'm epileptic). He was so pissed off because he said that it is a well known fact among medical doctors that the birth control that he gave me wasn't compatible with my particular seizure medication. I've seen Dr. Phillipe and he seems pretty cool. He looks fresh out of Medical school so it makes me a little nervous. All in all, I give this place a 2 out of 5. Clean but mean. read more

Note: This review is solely based upon my family's experience with "doctor" Tim Keller, and is not intended to reflect negatively on any other physician at St. E. If zero stars were an option, I would select that rating, this man has been a menace to my family for about a decade and a half, thankfully we were able to find another doctor for my elderly mother. A quick recap of our experience with this weird, sadistic man. When I went in to request a birth control prescription as a kid for my terrible acne he was so angry that he threw his clip board across the room. One of his staff apologized, in my view his anger was out control and he was mentally unstable. I never went back. In my opinion he appears to have issues with women based upon a previous poster's comment that he "doesn't like to prescribe birth control." He refused to issue my issue my 80 year old mother a handicapped parking sticker despite the fact that she uses oxygen and struggles to walk saying she "didn't want to look like you're trying to take advantage of the system." In my opinion this ugly, mean-spirited man is a blight on St. E. who disgraces his role as a physician. read more

If you're looking for caring and concerned doctors and polite receptionists, don't hold your breath. If I had the option to select 0 stars I would have. The Alexandria branch is filled with some of the worst. Every time I call for an appointment I wait anywhere from 20 to 40 minutes only to be met by a very rude receptionist. (I thought these women were hired because of their great people skills) NOT the case here. Once you get past the angry trolls at the front desk I hope you enjoy the lovely waiting room because that's exactly where you'll be spending half your day waiting to be brought into the back. Where you will now spend the remainder of your day waiting more. If you're lucky you'll get answers to your problems or you'll get sent on your way and told to take Advil. So despite the piss poor service and half assed physicals this office is generally clean and well kept. So I think I'd rather the cleaning crew attend to my illness next time! They at least know how to do their jobs! Can't wait to switch to the Bellevue location. MUCH friendlier and better service. I'll take the two month waiting list for their office over the disrespect recieved from the Alexandria office.. Ps. Someone should drop off a dictionary to the front desk "cause I AINT got time for their vocabulary and poor service" Don't waste your time here, if you take your health seriously you'll go elsewhere. read more

St E charged me and my daughter $746.56 then another $399.00 my daughter had a bad migraine headache and I have Med Ben for insurance through my job I think this is ridiculous and to much to charge all she got was two shots. That's just ridiculous on all counts. read more

Since St. Elizabeth took over my doctor's office in Walton, it seems like the patient care has gone down hill. You call, and you're put on hold for at least 5 minutes every time. Also, my mom had gone to a doctor in the office for over 40 years and they told her that she was no longer a patient because she hadn't been seen for 5 or so years. My mom only goes to the doctor when she's sick. Her blood pressure was running 180/140 and they wouldn't see her until they checked with her "old" doctor. She had to be accepted by the doc. that had been seeing our family for years!! It took them a week to get back with her....glad she didn't have a stroke or heart attack in that time. She ended up being seen 2 days later at my dad's heart doctor. Where was the concern for the patient here? I'm not totally blaming the doctor, but stupid St. Elizabeth for all of their stupid rules. It doesn't seem like the patient's care is first and foremost to me!! I also called to state what had happened and was told that someone would call me back....guess what? NOBODY CALLED BACK. After being ignored by my Dr s office for months, and finally getting an sppointmentthen waiting 1 1/2 hours to be seen...only to have to leave without being seen...by my Cardiologist!!! I went to the ER and was told they thought I was mistaking heartburn for chest pain, and sent home....Did I mention I already had 4 stents???? Went back to the Dr...bp was 200/90.... Was sent home....later that night, went by ambulence to Christ hospital....needed 3 new stents, and one old stent was occulded....they literally nearly ignored me to death!!! read more

I Have a very tuff time getting into my Dr. IF it Isn't my 6 mo. check-up. If I call at 8:30 AM they don't answer, If I call at 8:45 AM , Dr. Burns is ALWAYS booked, "@ 8:45 AM) I or my husband have been to several of them Because not being able to get into our doctor. Now if it has turned into a Clinic I wish they would have told me. IF I don't get told he's booked, he's not in today, Dr So and So has apts. I HATE THIS WHEN I GOT/CHOSE this Doctor when the one I went for years Retired and he suggested Dr Burns. And WE TRUST HIM and Like him Very much. I have been not feeling well off and on for almost two weeks. But was getting tighter in the chest the last couple of day and not being able to do anything. SHOCKED when they said yes he is in and can get in at 9:30 AM TODAY. I live about 20 to 25 minutes away. It was 8:48AM. I'll make it, I can't breathe , head conjested and lungs.. Get there get, called within 5 min. Had an Intern with him. don't mind that. He didn't seem really there yesterday. Seemed to half hear me. Checked Chest and throast but not eyes, ears, glands. Said he was giving me a seasonal allergy shot, and antibiotics and flu shot. ? Told him that nurse didn't call in Refil on Valisone, cream for leg starting to flare up alittle. Mentioned again to nurse when she came in, Dr Burns already sent prescriptions to Meijers. - - This was about 9:45 AM or so. Had to go to husbands Union hall after, then SS ofc. Didn't get to Meijer until about 4:30 (PM). THEY NEVER GOT ANYTHING from Dr. They Looked at all Faxes, etc. CALLED Dr's OFC, (Dr's Ofc) " We'll have to send message back to the DR." Told ofc patient was here Waiting. Then 15 min later I Called from cel phone outside Meijer's, same Response. ASURDED ME I would have prescription today/night. It's 9:26 AM and NO ONE HAS CALLED ME.. I LEFT MESSAGES (2) AFTER I CALLED ALL MEIJERS in AREA between 6:40 and 7:06 PM) IT's NOW Wed, 9/26/12 and NO Calls from Dr Oce or Meijers. HELPS ME GET RID OF BRONCHITIS !
