Instead, they charge a monthly fee that comes to under $800 annually. For that, you receive essentially unlimited primary medical care. Dr. Wahl spends the time needed to answer questions and perform a thorough exam. Time with him can last up to an hour. He responds to email questions promptly and will even call you to explain things in person. He is additionally able to do video conferencing consultations. His medical knowledge extends to most areas of care - from internal medicine to dermatology, to holistic medicine that incorporates mind, body and spirit wellness. If you are willing to pay extra, not a lot extra, for medical care the way it is supposed to be delivered - with concern and time given to your health needs, I highly recommend Walnut Hills Primary Practice and Dr. Wahl. I came to her when i was 22, with child and dealing with some severe mental health issues-and she sat with me and actively listened to what i needed & addressed each thing individually while ensuring the treatment plan wouldn't affect my pregnancy. 5 star Primary care and 5 star OBGYN, She delivered all 3 of my babies, i was so blessed to have had her as a caregiver. That's probably mostly because it's a pain in the ass to find a new family physician though... As a teenager, I had frequent bouts of strep throat, but never the kind that was detected by the rapid swab tests. Even though this became apparent rather quickly, I can't tell you the number of times I had to make numerous trips to Dr. Farber's office when my rapid tests would come back negative and he would tell me it wasn't strep, yet a few days later, the symptoms persisted. I will give their office props for one thing, though: Shortly after I graduated college and was unemployed with no health insurance, I broke my foot. Since I was an established patient at the office, they worked with me to charge me a minimal amount for my visit and they also worked out a deal with the imaging center where I had my x-ray. I was so grateful not to have to worry about being able to afford getting care for my foot and they took excellent care of me. So, while he might not be the sharpest crayon in the medical box, Dr. Farber is a great guy, and he does look out for his patients.
