This left my dog a paraplegic which resulted in euthanasia. Dr. Starkey failed to disclose the injury just telling me she had to "manhandle" Kaiser and he may be sore. When Kaiser could not stand I told her directly my dog was unable to walk at least twice and upon the third time she tossed me a blanket and said use this as a sling and take him out. This Dr. sent my pet home with a broken back and allowed him to suffer for 5 days until I could get him to a neurologist that verified what had happed. Incident has been reported to the Ohio State Board of Veternarian's for a malpractice complaint. There are many good veterinarians out there, do yourself and your pet a favor and use them.

Over the past 5 years, I have experienced rudeness from the front desk and assistants. The intake lady acted like she didn't even want to touch my 5lbs dog and acted scared of her. Then, the fees are exorbitant and have only gotten more out of hand. You want to charge me $1200-$1600 for a DENTAL CLEANING AND 1 EXTRACTION?! I called multiple other vets to find that service at half the price for my specific dog. Additionally, the newest vet I saw (seems like a revolving door), while very nice, gave her a 2 week injection and a 1 week supply of pain meds for a bad tooth and the front desk proceeded to tell me the only surgeon available is an entire month out. This is in line with their other scheduling, which sometimes means a month wait for a "sick" animal. Finally, the vet tech tried to tell me that my dog needs a rabies vaccine despite having had one in June (and it's on her record). The new vet laughed at that requirement anyway, as it is not needed for a sedated procedure. The worst of it all is that when the new vet called for my dog's records, their only concern was whether she would be keeping her dental appointment in March. Completely unacceptable all around!!

She thought she knew the answer to what I was saying so her ears closed and that was it. She was very curt. My favorite vets are Dr. Hyland, Fanning and Jones. The techs are also hit and miss. Some have very poor hygiene and severelylack the people skills to work with the public. You should come to work with clean hair. They are pricey here but they also have the latest technology. I would rather pay a little more for the important stuff than worry my pet isn't getting the best care. In general I would recommend them.

The assistant was a bit short though ... perhaps she was having a bad day or she was stressed because they were busy. At the end of the day, they shed no new light on our pet but if you're looking for a new veterinary practice, consider them. Since then he has received a wellness check, 3 vaccinations + a booster, and a dental cleaning. They are so caring and compassionate with my cat. He behaves very differently at the vet than at home and he gets good support here. He is very timid in the office which is unlike him and he tends to get a bit hissy which is also out of character, he just isn't good with strangers and prefers to run and hide but can't do this when receiving care. They are still very warm with him and are understanding of his needs! They are very transparent about their pricing and list the cost of as many procedures as they can on their website. Super affordable and you don't have to sacrifice care quality! I got the best price I could hope for with my cat's dental cleaning and it even ended up being cheaper than the quoted price! One very important plus with this office is that they make themselves accessible by text message during business hours if you're unable to call. I have contacted them many times with questions and concerns after my cat's procedure and they were extremely helpful and quick to respond. They even checked up on him twice during the weekend while he was recovering from anesthesia and pain meds! He had dentals before this and had no trouble. I called to let them know of the issues and their response was to take him off pain meds and then to stop the antibiotics. At his two week follow up they looked at him in a hurry (you always feel rushed with them) and said he was fine. He continued to decline but they didn't have appointments available to see him. A month post dental he had a fever and could not eat, drink or sleep. I got him into a different vet who drew lab work. He had a serious infection likely from his dental and was now septic. They gave him injections of antibiotics, injection of a steroid, and he is taking daily medication to help his liver heal. Finally he is back to his peppy self thanks to Graber Animal Hospital.

I was told that there was only one doctor, so when I was called and told to reschedule because they had an emergency, I understood and they booked me the following Monday. They were very sweet and gentle with Gohan. The doctor was the first to tell me about his kneecaps. Most vets will tell you that he would need surgery but the doctor did not however. He said he didn't need surgery, not unless he was having trouble. I truly respect him and would recommend him to anyone. He cares for the dogs and clearly cared about the owners too, otherwise he would have said my dog needed surgery and that would have been even more money. Very good. Nice.
